Simple and cozy tent campsite, a perfect pitstop for your west coast road trip. Hidden away in a quiet neighborhood, you'll have all the convenience of town with a private outdoor experience. Easy access to I-5, a short drive to historic Jacksonville, OR, perfect for camping near Ashland, OR (home of the sensational Oregon Shakespeare Festival) and just a hop, skip and jump (2 hours) to Crater Lake National Park. Whether you're planning a fishing trip on the Rogue river, hope to hike the unending trails of the Siskiyous, or simply pass through the Rogue Valley, you'll be sure find adventure around every corner. Enjoy the designated tent site with fresh cedar bedding and clawfoot tub with outdoor shower. The composting toilet and kitchen sink will make your camp night feel cozy with all the amenities you need to feel at home. Everything is fenced in and private, making this spot great for pet-friendly camping. **NOTE: The tent space is limited to ~8ft x 8ft, please check your tent dimensions before requesting to book :) Camp Kool is located in the middle of town, while it is chill, the normal amount of town noise should be expected (dogs barking, occasional sirens, road noise, etc). This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY campsite. We are a family ourselves and love hosting other families with children and pets. That being said, Camp Kool is an alcohol and cigarette free zone. Due to the limited space, Site 1 is best suited for 1-2 travelers or families of 4 or smaller. Settle into this backyard campsite equipped with on demand hot water shower, kitchen sink, picnic table, and fire pit among a lovely garden setting complete with composting toilet in the greenhouse. Site 1 has everything you need to feel at home on your travels, and is conveniently located walking distance to grocery stores for resupplying on your journeys.

It was a great introduction to HipCamp for me. They were very welcoming and made sure I felt I really had privacy in my own space. Gave me good information heads up before accepting request and even let me have a very cozy fire. 10/10, May God reward you all through our Lady.

When you work and play as a team. Camp Kool doesn't begin to describe the beautiful nuances and touches to their space, a space both functional and slot of fun! The love and care that radiates from their bright and covertly holistic designs welcomes the senses instantly. The care attention to little details one may need camping, but also a space ready to create in. I found that through this one experience and my appreciation for both hospitality of this beautiful family, and I mean every member, and my experience in the customer service/ hospitality industry for almost 30 years has had shown me that creating experiences and community is the true heart of the service industry. This family is bringing the heart back to business, and as far as I am concerned....wanna be Kool? Come camp you will get learn what that is for you!!
