Weekend Trip to The Olive Farm

The camp site was great. Plenty of room for everyone to camp in tents and camp vans. Three of us stayed in the cabin. The camp is very clean and the sink and water hose are very convenient. There is a nice shady spot at the pond to sit. We saw lots of different wild life. I would recommend this site for a nice relaxing time. Just keep in mind that there is a short steep grade to get to the site, it is key to not slow down or stop to get up the grade.

Weekend Trip to Wackalulu's Wonderland

Awesome place and beautiful setting, which was made perfect by our host Lynda! From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure Lynda was always available and very helpful for any questions and assistance. The detail and fun that went in to this site is truly unique, fun, and peaceful. Lots of areas to relax alone or gather together. The creekside setting was gorgeous. The cabin was fully stocked and well set for anything you might need. We plan on coming back!

Weekend Trip to Moon Crest Valley Ranch

Beautiful land with spectacular views, birdsong and lovely farm animals. We were in nature but all essential amenities were thought of, and there were tons of games and activities for the entire family. Beautiful trails on property. Brendan was warm and welcoming, and visited the farm animals with our 5yo which he loved. We'll definitely be back.

Our family had a fabulous stay at the Olive Camp! The location was stellar - close to civilization but felt very remote! The camp was roomy, clean, quiet and private. The pond, potable water and sink were bonuses! Sam, the host, was communicative and accommodating. Will stay again and highly recommend!

We loved our trip! Appreciated the sink for rinsing dishes and the string lights were a nice touch. The rope swing was a huge hit with the kids, as was the porch/"stage". We didn't end up using the pond much, too murky for swimming (at least for us) and we're not fishers. Overall nothing fancy, but a great private and quiet spot for a family getaway.

We left our stay at the Lucy vintage trailer. David and Guy were wonderful house. It’s a perfect place to stay during bottle rock we love to come back sometime.

Redwood and knotty pine hand crafted 31' high tree cabin accessible by ladder only for those 18 years and older. There is a portable toilet on the wraparound deck and an electric luggage lift to get your gear up there safely. It has power and heat and a coffee maker, mini fridge, coffee, and tea. Also some cozy hooded rubs to make your way down to the hot tub in.

Weekend Trip to Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

This is the perfect place to disconnect, relax and unwind. It was so quiet and close to nature. But they have wifi should you need it. Truly the ultimate balance between comfort and the outdoors. I bet the view is even more spectacular in the summer. All the things here are well thought of. They really have everything you need (and more) for a comfortable stay. From beddings, cooking equipment and utensils, tableware, toiletries (they smell so goood), towels, firewood, to the nice-to-haves like game boards, books, binoculars, flashlight, coffee, tea, eggs and even a radio! Their homemade seasoning is great! Literally, just bring clothes and food. I have zero athleticism in me and had no issues walking downhill to the tent. Anybody can do it. Just pack light! William is also very accommodating and happy to share information about the trees, plants and flowers around. Half Moon Bay is 20 mins away, so you can even go on a side trip to the beach. There are also other places to discover like wineries, breweries and local shops and restaurants. We are so glad we discovered this gem and will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

i can’t even start with how incredible my time was in tent 1. even though the weather turned and i couldn’t see the ocean, the marine layer dripping on the tent and in the trees, it created a bit of extra magic. the tent itself was cozy and so well thought out with what they had inside amenities wise. i was warm all night, keeping the first going until bed and closing the damper a bit worked. i enjoyed the eggs provided for breakfast and some tea. the outdoor shower and bathroom were wonderful, especially since it wasn’t shared with the other tents. it was quiet. everyone was respectful of the noise policy. william and sana are exquisite hosts and im grateful for this overnight stay. i picked up some goodies from the tiny farm stand outside the gate and the cocoa is delicious and the wood burned fir a long time at a beer by state park. can’t wait to return. thanks for everything!

Another wonderful stay at the Olive Farm. Our dog spent three days running full blast after ground squirrels and wading in the pond every chance he got. Loki Paradise! We haven’t found any campsite that compares to the amenities, convenience, natural beauty, and hospitality of Sam’s property. Highly recommend!

Each of the listings has it's own private deck or patio and then you have access to all of the common areas on the propertyWe promise you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are minutes from everything.Lulu’s Landing and Captain Wack’s Cove is a pirate-themed Creekside hangout, where you can enjoy a fire, except during banned season. Also a great place to capture a glimpse of the numerous critters that cruise our creek. Foxes, Deer, Squirrels, Otters, Ducks and Herons as well as numerous songbirds that feed from our bird feeder.Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor.The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike to enjoy the majestic beauties. Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

Breathe deep in nature on our 10-acre property on a Kings Mountain, California hillside. Our generously sized Safari-style tents offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure. Each tent has beds, down comforters, crisp cotton linens, lights, and more. Outdoor and indoor furniture and little touches that will make your stay unique. Each tent is perched on a sturdy wooden platform and features a fully furnished deck, providing a cozy space to relax and soak in the breathtaking ocean (Half Moon Bay views) and forest views (Kings Mountain). All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days. We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light. Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm. If you're interested in meeting our friendly farm animals, get in touch, and we'll be delighted to arrange a visit at a time that works best for you and them. Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent. Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products. A sink area is available for dish clean-up, and a bbq/picnic area (bring charcoal). KM is famous for its hiking and biking trails nestled amongst the redwoods. The closest is a 15-minute walk from our campsite, and others are within a 15-minute car ride. Tent 01 (180sqft) accommodates 3 people in a queen-size bed and a daybed. Tent 02 (210sqft) accommodates 4 people: two in a queen-size bed and two in a bunk bed and an outdoor suspended net Tent 03 (210sqft) accommodates 4 people: two in a queen-size bed and two in a twin bed + daybed and an outdoor propane stove, hangout deck Recently added: an apartment w a hot tub Kids under the age of 10 are not allowed.
