Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land
It’s been a few days since our trip to this location, and after being back home, I genuinely cannot recommend this spot enough. The hosts were very attentive and kind, but also we felt so private and alone. The land itself is beautiful, and the cabana we were in was absolutely stunning with gorgeous views of the trees and land over the hills. The hardest part for me was the loft bed as getting up and down the ladder was a little nerve-wracking. But after you get used to it, it is beyond worth it.
The drive up to the property was a little challenging, but if you are used to small mountain roads and listen to the speed limit signs, it really isn’t that bad. And again, SO worth it. The entire trip was so peaceful and lovely, I completely forgot to take any pictures. Amazing little spot, will be back!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land
My partner and I had such a peaceful and relaxing anniversary weekend on the sacred owl land. The views were incredible, the nights were magical listening to the owls and frogs!
Although this cabin is located close to the ocean and so much beauty, we chose to spend the weekend enjoying the land. The chickens were adorable, and the hot tub and deck were extra relaxing. We will definitely be coming back!

My partner and I had a lovely stay here for two nights. The bed has an amazing view in the morning and the property is great, with a shared hot tub and chickens roaming around.
We used the BBQ to make one of our meals, there is no stovetop so best to plan your meals accordingly if you plan to eat them there. There is a mini fridge and some dishes. The hosts were super helpful and let us borrow a couple of things for cooking.
Recommend arriving during daylight the first time as there are winding roads.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land
Nestled in the the Santa Cruz mountains, this spacious land has wonderful views out over the valley to the ocean edge. The cabana is tiny yet cozy with all the essentials for a peaceful, comfortable get-away. Ludo was very welcoming and quickly got us settled in.
The cabana has a shower andnsink. A compostable toilet is a short, easy walk away. A small fridge, electric tea pot, French press, mugs, cutlery, ground coffee and an assortment of herbal tea are provided. Although there's access to a community gas grill, we chose to bring our own camp stove. You will need to bring your own plates and bowls.
Outside the canana are a gas fire place and 2 chairs.
The view from the cabana is wonderful, surrounded by dense trees for excellent privacy.
A couch and small table gave us a comfortable place to sit at night and enjoy a cup of tea before climbing the ladder to the loft. The mattress was a good mix of squishy and supportive with a warm comforter.
There are electric lights in the cabana - but bring a flashlight for nighttime trips to the toilet.

This is the sort of tucked-away spot you'd hope to find when you're boondocking somewhere. Totally quiet, just you and the trees.
Great communication from host and directions to the site were right on the money.
We camped there in our 25' RV - I sure wouldn't take anything bigger up that road and driveway. It is winding and barely wide enough to pass in many spots.
No cell service and Starlink wasn't stable because of the heavy canopy.

Weekend Trip to May's Luxury Farmstays
My daughter and I had a lovely time for my birthday getaway weekend. I tried to book this place for my husband’s birthday in July but it was booked and every time I check it is usually filled with. We decided to check because it is the off season and there was one spot left for a Yurt. We showed up and it was already dark but we were able to navigate to our area with the instructions. Jeremy the maintenance manager was there within a few minutes to assist us with heaters and give us the lay of the land. We had great conversations with Jon and he introduced us to the chickens and geese. My daughter enjoyed talking with Jon’s wife as well. Fresh eggs, fresh air and beautiful skies all around. We definitely will be back. If you’re on the fence about this place don’t be where else can you take a hot bath under the stars. Pull the trigger and live a little bit. You won’t regret it and if you do well you don’t belong in our circle. ❤️

Amazing experience! Great view of the mountains from the Cabana. Loved the deck overlooking the bay (I will make sure to pack my yoga mats next time). I was hoping to watch the sunset from my Cabana but it rained almost the whole day. But the clouds and mist on the mountains were no less of a visual treat. You can watch them slowly move as you sip our tea. I’d love to go again. The hosts were super nice.

This place is so great, a perfect birthday getaway!! The details are so well thought out and it felt like we had a ton of privacy, while being close to town still. The hosts thought of everything, down to heated toilet seats which was a nice touch this time of year! Thoughtfully stacked snacks and drinks of all kinds. The eggs were great! Host was very communicative and easy to reach. Even brought me champagne for my birthday! There are a bunch of animals which made it extra fun. Even fish food for the fish in the pond. Just very well put together all around. The tub at sunset was a dream. We will absolutely be back!

This is a lovely place to go for a little R&R! Easy to get to, serene location nestled within the redwoods. There's stairs that lead you to the river. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding, complimentary snacks and coffee. We went in November so the hottub was perfect for the cool nights. Close by Capitola, which we love to visit and did some hiking at Nisene Mark's State Park. We recommend this spot and may be back next year.

We had a great time in the Sky View Cabana! Ludo and Vaza were excellent hosts. The cabana is nestled in their backyard, but feels quite private with a beautiful view of the valley below. The bed was super comfy and the cabana was stocked with a mini fridge, sink, shower, towels, coffee, and a few kitchen essentials like mugs and cutlery. We lounged on the hammocks, went for a walk through the woods, and enjoyed the sunset on the deck. Fantastic getaway!

We had the most incredible time here on this beautiful property! Lisa and Scott were the most gracious hosts. We showed up late and it was dark. They met us out to ensure we found the spot and were comfortably situated. They brought over a fire pit so we could roast hotdog and make s’mores. Right off the bat they were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. We woke up to a beautiful property. We had a great time running around with the kids, playing on the playground, feeding the goats, playing pickle ball and enjoying coffee provided by the host. We spent the day by the pool and enjoying all of the pool toys and warm hot tub! They provided towels and lifejackets for the kids and sunscreen. It was such a great experience. We can’t wait to come back again!

3 nights at May's Luxury Farmstays
Everything at the yurt was so wonderful! We loved our spot under the trees (the other one was more out in the open so we chose well!). While we had initially thought about taking some day trips, we literally stayed all 3 days at the yurt and the grounds--feeding the fish and chickens and geese, walking around, sitting in the tub, etc. John was friendly and kind and would check in on if we needed anything restocked. (The Peppermint Bark liqueur was a favorite!) A fully stocked bar was really special, as was the view, and the feeling that we could wander and explore. A great sister trip to be sure and we will definitely, definitely be returning.

Weekend Trip to May's Luxury Farmstays
Absolutely WONDERFUL STAY! The location is a four minute drive to castle rock state park, the house is stocked with everything you may need including a full bar, seltzers and sodas, FRESH EGGS, and snacks (just bring your favorite creamer and bread for the perfect breakfast each morning)!
Our favorite part of the trip was the tub outside overlooking the lake that can be swam in along with their friendly fur animals that you can feed!
Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land
The place is beautiful and has a positive energy all around it. When we did our yoga and meditation we felt so good and vibrations were very positive. They have taken good care of land. Keep up the great work.
