We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!

Since 2017, we have been pouring every ounce of our love and energy into this landmark 1930’s resort. We take great pride in honoring it's rich history while creating a space for the next generation of mountain adventurers.
Nestled in 12 acres of cedars and towering pines on the south side of Lassen Volcanic National Park, we offer 9 cabins open year-round, along with 20 campsites, some featuring glamping tents and 8 RV spots, two featuring a vintage 70's trailer and 2015 modern RV.
We hope your path leads you here to experience all that Lassen has to offer. Miles of trails, pristine waters, dark skies, and wildlife abound, all awaiting to be discovered.

Furnished with a full-size bed, an outdoor sink, basic kitchen amenities, and a shower and a potty, the space is perfect for the solo or duo traveler. Located about 4 miles east of I-5, it's a peaceful and safe "pit stop" for those traveling the I-5 corridor. Located just outside of Redding, we are centrally located and have easy access to all Shasta County has to offer. Explore Lassen National Park (1 hour drive east along beautiful country roads), Whiskeytown National Recreation Area (20 min drive west), Old Shasta State Historic Park (15 min drive west), and of course, beautiful Mt. Shasta. Don't forget our numerous breweries, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the Sacramento River, and the Sundial Bridge! Redding is also home to many hiking and biking trails. I loved my one night stay in Caboose #11! The caboose was clean and cozy, the hot tub was lovely in the rain, and dinner in the dining car was delicious. I had my dog with me and there were no problems with that, the property was dog-friendly as described (just had to pay a $25 pet fee when reserving through Hipcamp, not sure if that's the same if you book through their website directly). Everything was easy & nice! Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Hideaway
This is the second time I've stayed in this beautiful cabin. Each time I've extended our stay. It has a cozy feeling once you step inside, and you feel right at home. The owner is super easy to contact when you have any questions or concerns, and she's super sweet to chat with. The only complaint I have is the Hipcamp app itself. The property owners that use this app has a lot of difficulty reaching out to me or being able to get on the app itself. So you would need to make sure that you have an alternate way of communicating with management because this app is unreliable when it comes to that. Highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to The Goat Shed
I had the loveliest time in the goat shed. The space is small but well kitted out with the basics, like battery powered lights, a propane stove, water, dishes, towels and extra blankets. But when I arrived, I also found some extra treats, like nice lotion, oracle cards and hot water left out so that I could make tea when I arrived on a cold night. Johanna couldn't have been nicer. I will 100% come back the next time I'm passing through.

This was the perfect place to stop over on our trip down to Yosemite. Very close the highway, easy to find, and our spot was pretty level.
The hosts could not have been nicer! Johnathan and Wes truly cared that we were enjoying our stay and made sure that we had everything we needed to make us comfortable.
The majority of the park is full-time residents, however we felt safe and it was very quiet. We would stay here again if passing through the area.
Bonus: the laundry room was very clean and the washer/dryer actually worked very well! No extra time needed for our load of towels - which is always an awesome surprise!

Such a great private retreat with our 3 pups! It has everything needed for a glamping getaway and more! Very clean all around. All amenities were there and taken care of well. Peaceful and absolutely beautiful! Nice swimming hole that we wished we could have jumped in but the weather was a bit chilly! We also stopped by the winery and met Leith who gave us a great rundown of the history which was a pleasant little bonus! We will come back next summer for a few more day with friends to enjoy!

I absolutely loved camping at Mill Creek! The scenery was beautiful, and the sound of the creek flowing nearby made the whole trip feel extra peaceful. It felt so nice to escape for the weekend, relax, and just soak up nature. I also really appreciated that they offered firewood right there at the site. It made campfire time super convenient and stress-free!
Having cell signal was a nice bonus too, since it allowed me to stay connected with loved ones while still enjoying an unplugged vibe.
Everyone around was friendly and courteous. We did have a neighboring camper who got noisy at first, though they became more respectful once reminded about the quiet hours.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely come back again!
