The L3 Ranch was founded in 1974 when my grandfather bought the property for his show cows.  In 1978, someone gave him a racehorse to pay off a debt. From then on, the property was known for its Quarter horse race horses, with some of the best in the state being born right here. In 2013 he found our he had cancer and handed the ranch down to me, Travis.  While he survived the cancer, he's happy in retirement playing cards with his buddies every week and hanging out with his dog.Now the ranch is known for its horse boarding, cattle, and goats. We even hold weddings and events at the lake sometime.  My main goal is to bring the ranch in a more in line with sustainable ranching. Its a process, but I love what I am doing, and where the ranch is going.

There will be limited water provided for hand/dish washing. We are a pack it in/pack it out campground so please, be mindful of waste as we ask that you take it out with you. Eucalyptus, oak, and/or pine firewood is provided free for you during your stay with us. It really is a beautiful and wonderful property. There is wildlife, and it is private and peaceful. It is very dark at night and the view of the stars, moon, and planets is amazing. There is poison oak on the property so please be aware. From then on, the property was known for its Quarter horse race horses, with some of the best in the state being born right here. In 2013 he found our he had cancer and handed the ranch down to me, Travis.  While he survived the cancer, he's happy in retirement playing cards with his buddies every week and hanging out with his dog.Now the ranch is known for its horse boarding, cattle, and goats. We had such a fun stay at the Room with a View of a Ewe! Kim the host was extremely welcoming and friendly - she showed us around the farm and we got to feed the chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, bunnies, and alpacas. It was a hit with our toddler. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this HipCamp! The tent site was perfect — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. Everything we needed was there, from a well-equipped kitchen and fridge to spotless indoor toilets (such a bonus when camping with kids!). We went on the river a couple of times and the kids loved playing in it. Barry, our host, was attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Firewood was available for purchase, which made our evenings around the campfire even better. I came with my two kids, and we all had such a great time — we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy, relaxing, and well-run camping experience.

We had the most incredible time here on this beautiful property! Lisa and Scott were the most gracious hosts. We showed up late and it was dark. They met us out to ensure we found the spot and were comfortably situated. They brought over a fire pit so we could roast hotdog and make s’mores. Right off the bat they were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. We woke up to a beautiful property. We had a great time running around with the kids, playing on the playground, feeding the goats, playing pickle ball and enjoying coffee provided by the host. We spent the day by the pool and enjoying all of the pool toys and warm hot tub! They provided towels and lifejackets for the kids and sunscreen. It was such a great experience. We can’t wait to come back again!

We really enjoyed our first stay on the ranch! The spot is perfect for families with kids and dogs, trailers or tents. The extra amenities like row boats, firewood, plenty of seating, huge picnic/cooking area and flush toilets really set this place apart. Travis was a great host and made our stay stress-free and super relaxing. (The weather was beautiful at the end of October) We can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Cole Ranch
My partner and I loved staying at Cole’s Ranch! Barry is extremely hospitable and organized. All of the amenities he provides were also super clean; we really appreciated the clean bathroom and kitchen area. Highly recommend the tour he provides as well! We ended up booking the hay ride and cow/calf experience and all of their cows were friendly and loved being pet. We’re definitely going to come back again next time!

This was our second time staying at Kim’s farm and it was just as fun this time around. Our 3 year old had been talking about it non stop since our last visit, so we came back. The animals are always fun, but it is Kim’s hospitality that always stands out the most. Couldn’t recommend more!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Veronica is such a warm and accommodating host who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The property itself is stunning, a beautiful non-profit space that feels like you have traveled far away to a peaceful savannah desert. We had the best time sitting around a bonfire with Veronica under a million stars, truly unforgettable. The location is perfect, close to Pinnacles National Park but feels worlds away from everything. Totally worth the drive, and we will definitely be back again!

My buddy and I wanted to get back into camping, and we heard about Hipcamp from a friend. We found Fisherman's Hideout on Cole Ranch just about 20 minutes from his house. Barry messaged us immediately after we booked and sent us a thorough welcome packet that had all of the information regarding our visit. He came right out to us when he saw us pull into our campsite. He was super friendly and we got a tour of the property from his wife. The campsite was clean and had a new firepit with benches. The bathrooms were clean and we had a great first Hipcamp experience. We will definitely be back again

Weekend Trip to Cole Ranch
The RV sites are well laid out, spacious, and flat, next to a lovely pomegranate orchard and near a pleasant river. Barry was extremely friendly and helpful, greeting us when we got there and showing us around the amenities. The boats available for use were great, and the kitchen area provided a place with hot water on demand to do dishes so we didn’t have to heat it up on our stove. My only regret was not bringing fishing gear along; maybe next time, since we will definitely keep this on our list of places to come back to.

The setting is beautiful. Out in the country with a very large hill behind you and many in front of you. Some livestock and QUIET. It is so quiet; it's wonderful. The physical spaces are wide set which is really nice. I couldn't hear our generator when I took our pup for her morning constitutional once I got to the next space. Having the gate for security is excellent. You get the code once your reservation is finalized. Matt was very responsive to emails sent thru Hipcamp. We'll stay at The Ranch again. We have a 35' motorhome and pull a Jeep.

I don't know which was more lovely, the camp ground or the hosts. Everything was amazing. The kitchen and bathrooms were not just clean, they were nice...like nice nice. The grounds were clean and very well kept. I go camping every year for my birthday, and this year was the best. I will 100% be back.
