The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike to enjoy the majestic beauties. Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. The most beautiful spot that puts you above all of Sonoma. Breathtaking views whether it is the morning fog rolling in or the lights of the multiple cities you are above. Windy roads lead up to the property. Proceed with caution as spotted deer at all times of the day. Cannot wait to come back.

Weekend Trip to Vineyard Camping at Bad Rat Ranch

We loved Marek's tiny house, where we spent a beautiful December weekend. He and his dog Ceviche were wonderful hosts. Our own dog loved roaming around the large ranch, together with Ceviche, and we also enjoyed walking around the vineyards. Two incredible wineries, Wild Diamond and 6-sigma are very close by. We enjoyed tasting wine at both, and the views from the Wild Diamond tasting rooms is amazing.

Lynda was very friendly and helpful. The property has amazing themed sites to lounge at and are large enough for a group or family if you rent both sites (cabin and boathouse). The cozy cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lynda has taken a lot of time to ensure the cabin is well stocked with useful items so you only need to bring clothes, toiletries, and food to have a great stay. We loved using the hot tub/fire pit at night and reading or playing board games on the covered porch during the day. The dimmable lights in the cabin and on the patio were such a nice touch! The cabin and surrounding area felt very private. The nearby of town of Monte Rio is within walking distance (or a quick drive) and has multiple restaurants (the food from Sarah’s Kitchen in the Highland Dell was very good). This is also a great location as there’s so much to do nearby. You’re close to the coast and multiple small towns to explore. I highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to come back!

Lynda and Rich were friendly, funny, and welcoming. Simple check in with recommendations in the neighborhood. The photos don’t do the property justice - it is beautiful, silly, and unique. Each spot has its own privacy, and it feels like you are in your own little grove. You’re also right next to a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot, and just a few minutes from the Russian River and Guerneville. I highly recommend the Wackalulu Cozy Cabin to anyone reading this! Weekend Trip to Wackalulu's Wonderland

We had the most amazing experience staying at Lynda and Rick’s Hipcamp, the Wakalulu in the boathouse. From start to finish, everything was incredible—though I think our dog Moon might have out-partied us! Lynda and Rick were fantastic hosts, so warm and kind, and the care and detail they put into their home was truly inspiring. You can see their love not only for hosting, but also for design and all things tiki. Every corner felt thoughtful and special. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, yet transported at the same time. The cozy cabin was a wonderful stay!. Our hosts were very helpful, sharing all the information that we would need. There were so many thoughtful details. The hot tub was great, there were so many places to sit and enjoy the beautiful property, it felt private, the cabin was very clean, and we had everything we could want in the kitchen including coffee and a press pot. We would definitely stay again. Highest recommendation!!!

The staff were very helpful and polite. I only wish they would mention on their website they no longer provide fire rings. You will have to bring your own if you want to have a fire. The pool was clean and everyone seemed happy to be there. Note to self. We will make sure to place our RV the farthest point possible away from the road. We could hear cars whizzing by at night.

Nestled in a beautifully wooded enclave next to a creek, Lynda and Rich have created a yabba dabba doo whimsical cabin in the woods. We stayed in the main cabin and enjoyed all the comforts of home in a cozy cabin with all of the amenities one would need; a fully operational kitchen with coffee, dishes, a microwave, and a good sized fridge/freezer with lots of counter space, I have to mention the extremely comfortable bed and bedding, with optional warming on each individual side of the bed in case of cool nights. Fans and screens perfectly placed to keep the cabin cool on a warmer day. The cabin is located between Sebastopol and Jenner in Monte Rio and everything is 15 mins away… though the minute you sit and put your feet up you feel transported hundreds of miles away from civilization and relaxation greets you immediately. We recommend this site if you are looking for immersion into nature with the comforts of a rustic, cozy cabin in the woods!

Wackalulus Wonderland was so fun! Lynda, Rich and Bo were beyond beyond gracious and fun. We stayed in the Boat House and it was so cozy and comfy. We had sole access to a fully outfitted kitchen with a great deck area. There are so many separate spots to hang out, socialize or spend time alone appreciating the trees and the busy birds. Walking along the creek bed and just marveling at nature. It's close enough to golf, dining, the river....something for everyone. We can't wait to go back!

We had a very good time at the tiny house. It was very peaceful and Ceviche made our stay even more special. The house is very comfy and has everything you need. Marek is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

Serene Scenery ✅ Tranquility ✅ Clean Space ✅ Well Equipped Cabin ✅ Friendly & Gracious Host✅ Adorable Dog✅ Unforgettable Experience ✅ Everything I wanted for a much needed peaceful getaway was met. The vineyard is as it was described and more. Amazing backdrop to an adorable and quaint little home. The window on the top overlooking the vineyard made sunrises and sunsets really special. A beautiful vineyard and little gazebo you can tell lots of life was put into this place. Ceviche the dog was so sweet and gentle. Marek was especially friendly and attentive. Great conversations with him. Checked in on me once a day to make sure all was well. PRO: no mosquitoes! I was so happy to bring my own hammock and placed it under the big tree and loved picking some grapes hanging all over the big tree! What an amazing first Hipcamp experience. So many great locations I was looking into but something about that tiny home and pictures of the vineyard really called out to me and I am SOOOO happy I chose this place. It will be hard to choose other places for my next trip. I know I will be back.

Wonderful getaway—magical grove with little surprises around every corner. We relaxed around the fire annoyed the patio and hot tub. But there’s also a tiki bar, a pirate-themed lounge, a trains, gnomes, and pink flamingos. A lovely couple hosting with lots of hospitality! Loved our stay— a great launching pad for the Russian River! Thank you! Xoxo

Marek's property is really special! Tucked away from the main roads and few neighbors. Beautiful views in the day and stars at night. There was cell service on property and the guesthouse was easy to find.
