We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. For cyclists, there is a 32-mile long bicycle path at Beals Point that connects Folsom Lake with many Sacramento County parks before reaching Old Sacramento. The park also includes Lake Natoma, downstream from Folsom Lake, which is popular for crew races, sailing, kayaking and other aquatic sports. At both locations, you will stay in 16ft deluxe tents. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Car and RV campers are welcomed and there is plenty of car/RV parking on the asphalt lot outside the fence at the East Side of the property near the mailboxes at the intersection of Rte 4 and Brice Station Road. Our grassy lawn tent area is inaccessible to vehicles and RVs. Our parking area is adjacent to the highway and may not be what rooftop and van/rv campers are expecting in terms of a peaceful camping experience. If you have tent, it’s recommended to camp out on the lawn. We have tents for rent if you need one.

Weekend Trip to Ria's Ranch, 5th Wheel

Maria and her husband were very supportive and made this trip memorable. My kids are talking about their charming three dogs. Vey close to Sac but has everything to unwind. The 5 th wheel was also very clean and comfortable with heat and A/C. I would like to visit with other families if they build more spaces. Thank you so much. Also the egg from Maria was so high quality:)

Weekend Trip to Unhitched Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina

Our stay was great, we enjoyed our weekend very much. The only suggestion id make is that the cabin be cleaned better, the window sills were dirty and the blinds needed cleaning. Price was great, cooking equipment and utensils were ok, they served the need. One last thing is the playground for the kids for sure needs work, I would love to bring my grandkids but there would not be much for them to do.

We stayed in #42 house right by the beach. We had so much fun!! the place was a very clean and cute, with plenty of room. (we had 13 people) Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I would say is if you have more that 5 people bring paper plates and silverware. We will be back!!!

2 nights at Treehouse Geodome In The Sierras

My 5 yr old and I stayed in Joshua’s tent and had wonderful time. The tent is much bigger than the pictures look and even tho it was 100 degrees outside it ended up being very comfy inside. Slept soundly both nights. We loved meeting the goats and llamas - very tranquil and easy around little ones. With the hot weather we were even invited to use the pool - so generous!! I cooked couple of dinners in the out door kitchen and was grateful for the fridge. We visited local caves, historic gold rush towns of Murphys and Columbia, swimming hole, and Calavera Big Trees - all within 15-45 min from the HipCamp site. Also, the local grocery/market has everything you’ll need for food or otherwise. Definitely considering bringing the rest of the family for a future visit. The hosts were very generous and timely with communication, I highly recommend it for a comfy & rural feel in Gold Country

1 night at Cosumnes River Somerset Camp

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! What a relief to get away from the constant noise/stress/stimuli and allow my soul to rest for a bit amongst the towering oaks, soothing sounds of the babbling river, and billions of stars at night! We so needed this! Thank you Noleen and team for the much needed escape. And the bed in the trailer is so comfy! There’s like a foam mattress that makes it better than my own bed at home! Our 9 year old daughter was able to sleep on the bunk inside and our 7 year old daughter enjoyed her crack at the foot of the bed, but she may be an anomaly…! They slept out in a tent the first night but loved the trailer so much they crashed with us the second. This place is so unreal and I’ve been telling everyone I know not to waste another moment at a public campground because this is where true restoration can happen! Can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to The Painted Lake

What a spot for animal lovers, sunrise seekers, and water sports of all kinds. We have stayed here once in December and now in July. Both times were comfortable and relaxing. The AC unit is a must because it was hot! The lake water was 83 degrees and Jeremy provides floaties, and kayaks. The hike down and especially back up is strenuous and in the heat it was a lot. So just don't bring much down to the lake is the solution. Jeremy has thought of everything when it comes to convenience and comfort. There is a full refrigerator and freezer right by the cabin and we never had to buy ice. There is a clean porta potty for each cabin site too. We had privacy, a gas grill, a working sink and shower at our site. There is electricity inside and a very comfy bed and plenty of pillows. The view from the deck is so picturesque and relaxing. The horses, goats, dogs and chickens are free to roam the property and are so fun to interact with. The town of Murphys is a close drive with lots of restaurants and shops, the Mercer Caverns etc.

What stood out to me is the hospitality of their space. Both Kat and Steven were very welcoming...."make yourself at home". The apple and berry turnovers delivered to our campsite were warm and wonderful. Was perfect for our extended family! Definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Painted Lake

We loved our experience at the tree house. The outdoor kitchen and shower with hot water was super convenient. The farm fresh eggs made for a great breakfast. The tree house is cozy and the views are incredible especially in the night. The ac made our stay comfortable. The animals, goats, and the nearby vineyard all made it wonderful experience. The dogs are adorable. We spent several hours on the lake using the kayaks that are provided. Jeremy is an awesome host. Thank you Jeremy.

This site is close to the restroom which is the biggest positive. Make sure you contact the host earlier to get the code for the lock as we had tough time reaching the host for few hours after reaching the site late in the evening
