The 21 acre property provides amazing views as well as biking and hiking along the local fire and farm roads. The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers. Onsite parking is available for one vehicle per campsite (additional spots may be available on request).
In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50+ nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation.
You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Due to deadlines and even more stress created by the partners of the firm, I ignored what my body was telling me. We closed escrow on the property in October of 2016 and that November I was in the ER. I almost died. Spent my birthday and Thanksgiving in the hospital.Soon after that I quit my job at the CPA firm and started working from home. Still suffering from complications, that summer in June/July I ended up in the ER again. Even closer to death this time. Since then I've turned around my health. Focused on life on the farm. Creekside Cabin: 468 sq. ft, a beautiful deck backing up to the national forest, with propane fire pit(you supply your own propane tank), and charcoal bbq(you bring your own charcoal), overlooking fresh water creek, outdoor shower, large fireplace, open floor plan, living room with cozy queen bed, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, and a twin bed. This cabin has the option to add the vintage trailer in the driveway June - October only as an additional space. Does not have electricity, bathroom or heating for $75 per day. Trailer not available other times of the year due to cold night temps.
Vintage 1937 Cabin: larger indoor space 1304 sq. ft. , a rock front patio, Wood stove in living room, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, private large bedroom with another wood stove w/ queen bed and twin fold out couch, laundry room, enclosed patio with gas bbq, and a charcoal bbq on front patio(you supply your own charcoal)..

You truly feel like you're in the high Sierras just 1.5 hours from Los Angeles. Big Bear Lake is a 45 minute drive away.

If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Join us in beautiful Idyllwild in the mountains of southern California! We are within easy reach of San Diego, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs for a peaceful get-away to escape the valley heat and immerse in the pine forests of this peaceful mountain town. Idyllwild is filled with hiking trails and is one of the main stopping points on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Our quaint downtown area is filled with Native American artwork, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops, an ice cream shop, souvenir and supply shops. Our property is our one acre private home with multiple campsites and facilities for campers. Indoor accommodations will be offered soon! We are located within walking distance of many trailheads, and approximately two miles off of the PCT at the South Ridge Trailhead.
Make yourself at home on our friendly family property equipped for tent camping. (Indoor accommodations coming soon! Feel free to inquire for advance bookings.) Access to meticulously cleaned toilets and warm showers inside of the main house or trailer. Additional services available at certain times include laundry service, home-cooked vegan meals, trail pick-up/drop-off. Two Cabins to choose from, each with its own vintage charm. Both on the same dirt road across the street from each other, separate properties, both with their own private hot tubs, kitchen, claw foot tub in bathroom, heating. Rent separate or rent both and bring your friends!
Here are the special additions at each cabin:
Creekside Cabin: 468 sq. ft, a beautiful deck backing up to the national forest, with propane fire pit(you supply your own propane tank), and charcoal bbq(you bring your own charcoal), overlooking fresh water creek, outdoor shower, large fireplace, open floor plan, living room with cozy queen bed, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, and a twin bed. This cabin has the option to add the vintage trailer in the driveway June - October only as an additional space. Does not have electricity, bathroom or heating for $75 per day. Trailer not available other times of the year due to cold night temps.
Vintage 1937 Cabin: larger indoor space 1304 sq. ft. , a rock front patio, Wood stove in living room, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, private large bedroom with another wood stove w/ queen bed and twin fold out couch, laundry room, enclosed patio with gas bbq, and a charcoal bbq on front patio(you supply your own charcoal)..
Both cabins:
Require 4 wheel drive and chains or two wheel drive and chains during winter storm snow days due to remote location.
Big falls waterfall is just a short hike away, as well as the trailhead for Vivian creek Trail. Come spend time nestled in the Coulter Pines, oaks, and maple trees.
Your neighbors are raccoons, and bears, property is situated on the edge of the San Bernardino National Forest at the top of the mountain.
You truly feel like you're in the high Sierras just 1.5 hours from Los Angeles. Big Bear Lake is a 45 minute drive away.
In town you will find Elkhorn General Store and El Mexicano Mexican Restaurant, both close early:).

My gf and I and her mom we tent camped at the Cityscape Farm View Summit and it was PERFECT, private, peaceful and the view was beyond amazing. Shane, was awesome and was very responsive and accommodating. Feels like you're truly out somewhere in Napa Valley. The farm was very beautiful, highly recommend and we will be back again SOON!

This is such a beautiful spot. For my boyfriend and I's first camping trip with our dog this was absolutely perfect! The views were incredible, and we were so close to so many possible activities in the area. We came to hike and were delighted to know you could start a hike directly from your campsite! We also got to see the farm animals which was such a treat. Shane is the most accommodating, he made sure to explain everything we needed, was always one message away, and hand delivered our eggs/fruit that we purchased off the farm right when we bought them! I definitely hope we can make it back to the farm one day, and we recommend anyone who has this spot as an option to make the booking!

We loved visiting Vicki's land! The tent was a perfect size for my husband, dog, and I. The grounds had beautiful views, trails, and the other camping sites well spaced out. I would definitely recommend camping here and would love to return again soon!

This place was exactly what it says it is, the views are stunning, and there is lots to explore. Perfect place if you have a doggie who needs to run around as well. Vicki is super welcoming and friendly, and leaves you be while you are camping. Bringing a bundle is a good idea, but you can always find food nearby to keep the fires going. Made it up there in my Corolla which is really low to the ground. Just make sure you are paying attention to the road if you have a low car like mine, because there’s a lot of spots you can bottom out but there is always a way around them. If they are booked up you will see and hear the other campers around you. Overall a really good vibe and would reccomend to anyone. A little cold up there so layer up.

Absolutely! Easy camp set up with actual toilets and shower onsite. Definitely will be back for a quick escape from the city. Only thing to be concerned with is that those roosters be rooster-ing through out the night.

The dirt road up to the ranch was slightly narrow at some points but still an easy drive up. Very peaceful and calm once we settled into our campground. Vicki was very welcoming and friendly as well as the other hosts. We will definitely plan a second trip back soon!

This is our 2nd time here! We have gone at least once a year. We have loved it every time! Vicki is so nice and provided us with a great, private campsite. Plus, her famous greeter, Solo (dog), was friendly! The campsite has portal toilets, trash cans, and showers. The weather was 50-70 degrees and no wind—beautiful views of the mountains and the land. Plus, they allow campfires, which make our cold nights more bearable! We went hiking in Palomar Mountain State Park, which had many trails!
