Lots of vineyards to go wine tasting to that were a short drive away. Brought some twinkle lights with us that we put up to add more lighting and a special feel."

Tule elk, prog horn antelope, and valley quail are just some of the animals you may encounter on our ranch. The pond is full of fish (bass, blue gill & sun perch) so don’t forget your fishing poles (catch & release). -We have beautiful 2 stall hot water showers, and three stall restroom including handicap stall. **Cleaned & Sanitized DAILY Our communal kitchen has : a large gas bbq grill, 3 smaller gas grills as well as gas burners & sink. **Cleaned & Sanitized DAILY. There are several counter high prepping tables around the kitchen (please clean up your cooking essentials & food after each meal as everyone shares this space). There is a private driveway that leads from the main road directly to the camp site. Easy parking, plenty of outdoor space within the campground that is 70 feet wide and 60 feet deep. If you're a baker or bread-maker like I am, you'll be delighted to learn about the artisanal wheat varieties he grows on the farm (and makes bread with)! I want to come back when the wheat fields are lush and fully grown. Can't recommend enough!

Pleasantly surprised! This is the first time that we have stayed at a Sub Outdoors Resort. A few things that we were unaware of: 1. Halloween is huge deal at this location! If you want the weekend prior to Halloween be prepared for the entire park to fill quickly but also participate in all the festivities! Which is super cool. 2. If you have pets, please consider utilizing a travel fence! They allow your pets more freedom without the constant constraint of their leash. 3. The amenities were phenomenal, minus the food selection- but we are foodies. That and the bar/restaurant hours are strange. It is possibly because we were there in a low season?? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not sure but the bar/restaurant was only open Thursday-Sunday. I assume most people probably only stay the weekend/long weekend but for people that are there during the week Paso Robles has plenty of food/drink options. We will 100% come back for another stay!

What an excellent, relaxing way to get away! Everything we needed was pretty much provided and the bedding was substantial and comfy. We had a thunderstorm hit and even that was a nice experience. A great way to experience mother nature firsthand! We never got wet or were uncomfortable in any way. A hot soak in the tub with my sweetie while stargazing was the trips fav! If you are particular about your cookware, I would bring a good pan and maybe a knife but other than that everything was peaceful. All the wineries around was a plus also!
