We named our property the Twisted Branch after one of the big oak trees that sits on the site where you will camp with us! It's on a hilltop with amazing views in nearly all directions. The campsite faces South/West so sunsets are fantastic. We use no chemicals on the soil or annual grasses. It is very quiet and the night sky is always stunning. Owls hoot at night and Redtail Hawks hunt for ground squirrels during the day. We have alot of Acorn woodpeckers living in the oak trees, the ones with the bright red head feathers. April through June we see bright yellow Orioles. At night you will hear hundreds of little frogs in the nearby ponds, depending on the season.
We are located in the heart of Wine Country and there are plenty of activities around us and in town.

Our families heritage in the San Joaquin Valley is over 100 years, we are California grown! The land was purchased from the railroad in 1919 by Grandpa Coen when he immigrated to the USA after his service to the British Empire during WW1.
Grandpa established and maintained the vineyards during his life in California's Central Valley which he left to his daughter, Irene. She kept the farming tradition going with her husband, Al, and they expanded by purchasing surrounding land
and planting more vines.

Other Shared Structures: The Lounge Barn, Legends Saloon, Loading Dock Stage, Antique Barns and the Game Room.
Evenings: Evening time at Almond Springs is spectacular. There is no light pollution, and the stars are amazing! The space is also well lit with intimate café lighting.
Weather: This is a remote country space. The Cabins and Kitchen both have Heat and A/C. Please come prepared for what the weather predicts for San Miguel, CA.
Dogs: We allow up to two dogs. They must remain on leash at all times. There is a $50 pet fee per pet.

Barbara and Dan bought these 37 acres in 2005. It had no improvements. The only thing it had going for it was a 250-year-old oak tree, and its location in the heart of wine country. Carrisa Plains is known for its beautiful display of wild flowers in the spring time, incredible sunny days, and spectacular wildlife viewing. The ranch is also located a short 29 min drive from the Carrizo Plain National Monument and Las Padres National Forest.
Tule elk, prog horn antelope, and valley quail are just some of the animals you may encounter on our ranch. The pond is full of fish (bass, blue gill & sun perch) so don’t forget your fishing poles (catch & release).

The summer days can get pretty toasty and the winter nights can get very chilly so check the weather before your stay and plan accordingly. Don’t forget your swim suits as we have soaking troughs for you to cool off in.
-Also please note we are located an hour from the nearest town, no stores or gas stations. Please come fully equipped with your own utensils, cooking essentials, food and beverages. We sell ICE!! $5 per 5lb bag.
We are off grid, there is no electricity, all lights are battery or solar powered. You may want a flashlight or headlamp for walking around at night.

We named our property the Twisted Branch after one of the big oak trees that sits on the site where you will camp with us! It's on a hilltop with amazing views in nearly all directions. The campsite faces South/West so sunsets are fantastic. We use no chemicals on the soil or annual grasses. It is very quiet and the night sky is always stunning. Owls hoot at night and Redtail Hawks hunt for ground squirrels during the day. We have alot of Acorn woodpeckers living in the oak trees, the ones with the bright red head feathers. April through June we see bright yellow Orioles. At night you will hear hundreds of little frogs in the nearby ponds, depending on the season.

Weather: This is a remote country space. The Cabins and Kitchen both have Heat and A/C. Please come prepared for what the weather predicts for San Miguel, CA.
Dogs: We allow up to two dogs. They must remain on leash at all times. There is a $50 pet fee per pet.

Tule elk, prog horn antelope, and valley quail are just some of the animals you may encounter on our ranch. The pond is full of fish (bass, blue gill & sun perch) so don’t forget your fishing poles (catch & release).

Although it rained 90% of the time we were there we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property and the sites were wonderful and well kept. Outdoor bathroom is super cute and well stocked. Fire pit (in ground and mobile), chairs, outdoor bbq, picnic table and water hookup at the site. The fresh eggs were delicious and firewood was available for purchase. The pond was stunning. We loved fishing and enjoying a dusk cruise in the paddle boat. I loved that although Nolan and his wife live on the property they gave us our privacy the entire time. If we needed anything, they were available but they gave us our space which we appreciated. Goats were cool too! Highly recommended.

We stay at Cheryl‘s vineyard over new year‘s eve. We needed a stay for the night spontaneously and were super happy, that Cheryl answered on our request so quickly. When we arrived we figured out, that we can‘t plug in the electricity hook up with our cable of the rental van and Cheryl offered us to park behind the shed to use the other hook up for her tractor. It was rainy and it was late and it was our second night with the van on new years, we are still thankful that she was available and helped us through the phone when we arrived! It‘s a super peaceful and quiet spot, exactly what we were looking for!

Wow. What a magical space! Even our dog, who is always skiddish at new places, was at total peace here. The outdoor tub is awesome. The sleeping camper was sooo cozy. Every part of the space felt carefully thought out. The big deck overlooking the rolling farmland.. majestic. We’ll be back for sure!

Cool little campsite on Nolan’s farm. Left a day early to beat the rain and wind. But it’s a nice peaceful spot. The rolling hills past the pond is beautiful. If you’re a bass fisherman this is heaven. I caught over 10 bass in 2 1/2 days and my gf caught a bass and bunch of blue girl. Gf loved the animals. Super easy getting ice from the host. Definitely Would stay again. Dipped in the 40s at night but wasn’t bad if you have a fire and a good sleeping bad

We really enjoyed this spot. It felt safe and secure, and one of the biggest positives for us was that there was no in-person contact with the host. I have a severe immunodeficiency, so being able to access the property without direct interaction was a meaningful plus for my disability. We truly appreciated that and had a great stay. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the views here & the cattle & horses were nice to watch. Like someone mentioned there is a lotttt of cow poop. You’re in their space, it’s nature, didn’t bother me much but I can see how if you had young kids with you it might become a problem 🤷🏽♀️ beautiful area that felt very private. No cell service so plan accordingly. Exactly what I was looking for!

I went to view the meteor showers so I parked my RV out in the field. I didn’t have to level it because it was easy to find a flat spot and easy to turn around. I didn’t use the other amenities on the property as I was only there for the meteor showers which was great😄

The dream catcher exceed my expectations and was so cute and cozy, had a lot of extra amenities such as a propane fire pit, hot running water and a flushable toilet and the host so graciously provided towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and a hair dryer! The setting itself is so beautiful and has an amazing view. The “kitchen” provided has a few things but I would recommend bringing your own equipment for cooking. Lastly, the bed is very firm and unfortunately we were unable to sleep well on it at all, we used some of the outdoor chair cushions to add some extra comfort to it which helped us sleep better the second night but if you aren’t used to an extra firm mattress I would recommend bringing some extra cushion/padding. I would definitely go back again despite this as we had a lovely time. We were lucky enough to have the property to ourselves that weekend so our experience was very private but would just like to mention that the dream catcher site is located between the two other main camping sites on this property. Otherwise this place was super cool and definitely a neat find!

We absolutely loved our experience at the farm, the hosts could not have been any nicer and it was exactly what we needed after a less than perfect experience at another Hipcamp the night before. I can’t wait to go back again and spend more time at the farm.
First time I’ve ever had a host pre light a fire for us as well, they definitely went above and beyond for us and made our visit very memorable.

This is a very special property, it felt like we walked for miles each day with our dogs in gentle rolling hills dotted with beautiful oak trees and not having any indication of humanity, lots of nature. Each night we walked up the nearby hill to watch the seemingly endless sunsets transform from yellows oranges and reds into shades of purple. The site is clean level and easy to access and the hookups are easy and clean. Christy was responsive, helpful and friendly with a nice gift bag upon arrival and other baking options in the mornings. There’s no doubt we’ll visit many more times when we need a nature break. Highly recommend.

The Dream Catcher site was so awesome! Everything from the outdoor bathtub for an evening soak to the warmth from the heater made for a great visit. The sunset and rise from the property are also to die for! I would recommend this property to anyone that is planning on visiting the area! My pup also loved the freedom of running around the site!

1 night at Enney's Ranch
Enney's Ranch is a truly lovely spot. Secluded, quiet, and with stunning views, the Blue Bonnet Ridge tent was a delight on a chilly fall night for my partner and I. Kenney, our host, welcomed us when we arrived and was also lovely. If you're a baker or bread-maker like I am, you'll be delighted to learn about the artisanal wheat varieties he grows on the farm (and makes bread with)! I want to come back when the wheat fields are lush and fully grown. Can't recommend enough!
