It is set on a property with a larger host cabin and looks out over the beautiful hills of the Sequoia National Monument. It is ideal for one person, or two who don't mind sharing a small space. It is half a mile from the town/resort of California Hot Springs; currently under renovation. THINK TINY, THINK ADVENTURE Modern TINY (16') Home on Wheels was inspired and built with a desire for minimalism, clean lines and efficiency of space. It has all the modern amenities you need in the midst of Nature. Space is sufficient but limited. Tiny is located inside "Lone Pine Mobile Oasis" RV PARK, on the west side of HWY 395, and Lubken Canyon. There is Hwy noise and there are neighbors. Semi's do drive the Hwy during the night. Please preview location before booking. We do have WIFI! The space Our home is only 16' long (8'x16') but has a well-equipped kitchenette, full bath with a shower and a conventional toilet. The kitchenette has the basics and then some... a coffee maker, a portable induction cook top, pots and pans, cooking utensils, basic spices and condiments. It also has a Britta water pitcher/ filter for your convenience! The living / sleeping space is a twin size sofa / daybed with a pull out trundle. The foam mattress size is 38" x 75" for both beds. The top mattress is 8" thick with a weight capacity of 400 lbs and the trundle is 6" thick with a weight capacity of 250 lbs. This may not have enough support or may be uncomfortable for some. The dining space has a movable coffee table /bench /shoe rack/ storage with locking brakes and a lift up dining table / office desk. The bench also stores the 2nd comforter for the bottom bed. TINY is well insulated with Rockwool in all walls, ceiling and floor, has a built in mini split -AC/Heater with remote control, dual pane windows and doors, tinted glass and black out shades for your comfort and enjoyment. TINY only has 50 amps of power and the on demand water heater requires 50 amps. Only 2 lights are able to be used while taking a hot shower. THE BREAKER MAY SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NEED TO BE RESET. (This has not happened in over a year but, just in case) CAUTION: Things appear smaller than they feel like inside! Driving up you may think, "OMG, it's so small", but after you step inside, you will hopefully feel, "WOW, it feels bigger than it looks". The 395 highway may be too close and light sleepers may feel it is still too noisy. Please do not book and leave a bad review if this would bother you.

Weekend Trip to Spirit Walk - Private Retreat

The Playhouse was a beautiful place and so full of nature! The first morning we woke up to squirrels playing right outside of our window, later on we saw a Deer and her little baby walking right past the dining area! The nearby stream could be heard throughout the camp (it wasn't loud, it was very soothing) and there were a ton of birds! If what you are wanting is a bit of nature, this is the place to go! We loved every minute there!

Weekend Trip to Spirit Walk - Private Retreat

My girlfriend and I rented the Playhouse at Spirit Walk and loved it so much we were sad to leave. John has done an exceptional job of setting this beautiful property up to be a peaceful space to unwind and renew. Conveniently located, yet it feels like you are way out in a creekside retreat far from town, it could not have been better. Communication was exceptional, instructions were clear. For us, the outdoor shower option was one of the highlights. Cooking under the canopy of oaks in the shade when it was hot was another. Exploring the area, we saw several camp grounds etc and we felt so lucky that we had found John's Spirit Walk property. The playhouse is simply appointed and perfect. The upstairs loft bed with windows looking out to the woods at sunrise is something I will definitely be returning for. If you are considering booking the playhouse, Do it! It won't be your last time.

We rented the playhouse as part of our group camping at the entire site and I would highly recommend doing so if you’re planning on group camping here! It was nice to have the extra space/extra bathroom. The house itself was very cute, clean, and well maintained.

This place was amazing! my girlfriend and i were lucky enough to have had the entire place to ourselves the 2 nights we stayed at spirit walk. we loved that john was very intentional about leaving as little human trace as possible when designing this place with a compost toilet, biodegradable everything, outdoor kitchen, etc. i truly felt immersed in nature and left feeling much calmer. also kernville is such a california hidden gem! we’ll definitely be back

Such a heavenly location! We stayed at the playhouse, it was cute and cozy. The grounds were well kept and really charming. Loved the proximity to the river and having an outdoor kitchen was fun too, don’t get to cook outdoors everyday. Would def go back!

Weekend Trip to Spirit Walk - Private Retreat

This land is very well thought out. John didn’t miss a thing! Whether you’re tent camping or staying in the adorable playhouse, he thought of it all. The communal kitchen is equipped with everything so there’s no need to pack oolong items. There are food storage bins as well and a few picnic tables. The deck is beautiful and the lighting is perfect. I stayed in the playhouse and it’s cozy and romantic. It has a private fire pit but I’m guessing anyone can enjoy it. There is even an outdoor shower for those bold enough ;-) The property is private and well kept. I went valentines weekend so it was cold and rained the first night but the second night was clear and the stars were bright. The creek/river was very active and the sound was soothing. You can access it down the path. John wasn’t there but walked me through the property over the phone as if he was right there with me. I HIGHLY recommend visiting, I’ve never experienced anything like it, and quite honestly can’t come up with anything negative to say other than I didn’t stay long enough :-)
