Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, microwave, teapot, crockpot, toaster, and 2-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans - enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are provided. The cabin has a small woodstove as its only heat source. A little wood can be provided, and we provide newspaper, matches, and fire starters. There is an abundance of kindling around the property - great for getting a fire going. The stove holds 18" x 4" split logs, if you have some to bring. There are two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a counter/bar with views of the creek. The bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 3-gallon hot water heater limits showers to less than 5 minutes. Nice sturdy steps lead up to the loft upstairs which has an 8" full-sized (wider than a twin but narrower than a queen) memory foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up. A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and has a rechargeable motion detector indoor light. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark. WiFi is available. The password is listed in the binder on the table. Some games and puzzles are provided.

The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site, inquire if curious! Wildlife is prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns. The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! My husband and I had a great time tent camping here!! We went during the off-season so it was extra quiet and the whole place was elaborately decorated for Halloween - including a haunted walk-through path, which was such a treat! There was a heated bathroom with showers and a cute camp store as well. Being next to I5 there was car noise but we found it to be more like white-noise than annoying. Our tent site was in the main part of the camp, but we walked up the short hill to where the other tent sites are and Mt Shasta is right there staring you down! It was beautiful. Also a bonus was all the farm animals! There were chickens, roosters, turkeys, goats, and more, and two cute little camp kittens led us around when we were exploring. We didn't get a chance during our short stay to meet the host, but she's provided such a fun and comfortable place to stay and we would definitely stay there again.

I can highly recommend this camping site. The views of the mountains and stars at night are incredible! We stayed at T5 site and didn’t have any problems at all to drive on the gravel road up there. We managed to do this with a small Prius. The camp site has also a small shop where we could buy souvenirs and essentials. At night they also had a small Halloween party, which was fun to attend. The bathrooms next to our campsite were very clean and well maintained. Five out of five stars !

Patrice’s campsite is as described by others and in the hip camp listing. It sits in the middle of a large piece of property just past the town of Weed off Highway 97. We liked this location and site. We pitched our tent on flat ground that felt remote, quiet, and off the beaten path. Campsite 3 had a great view of Mt. Shasta, though when we were there it was covered in clouds. You should be aware that the Porta-potty feels like a long walk from the site (100-200 yards). Patrice is super responsive and will make sure you have everything you need.
