The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers. Onsite parking is available for one vehicle per campsite (additional spots may be available on request).
In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50+ nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation.
You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups.

If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At 10,833 feet in elevation, this is the second highest peak in California. There are two ways to get to the summit. You can hike the whole thing or shave off about 6000 vertical feet by riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Either way, the summit is not to be missed.
For a real challenge try the epic Cactus to Clouds trail. It was rated as one of the hardest day hikes in the world by Backpacking Magazine. Its 21 miles take you skyward through sub-alpine forests, mountain meadows, snow-dusted crags, and gnarled granite. An alpine start is required to avoid the midday heat so be prepared and take plenty of water.
Campers have plenty to choose from. The San Jacinto area offers two drive-in campsites, four hike-in primitive campsites, and adventures for every brand of wilderness craving. If you want to backpack to the summit over a day or two try the Deer Springs Trail. This park has adventures for every brand of wilderness craving.

We have 2 full outdoor bathrooms, one was most recently added at our Elderberry Camp Site (site 1), and is also close to site 4 our Oaks Campsite as well. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. Our products are available for purchase, with or without a tasting. We recommend you bring cash if you are interested. We also take Venmo!
GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

We are the second owners of the property and want to be as self sustaining as possible. We are on a well and have converted to solar power. We will be building up the camp sites as well, gradually adding more amenities as we go to create a unique experience for our guests.More about me:I had a great and successful career at a very large CPA firm in San Diego but with city living comes pressure and stress. Due to deadlines and even more stress created by the partners of the firm, I ignored what my body was telling me. I put off going to the doctor for months telling myself I didn't have time and, after this next deadline I'll get a check up.I knew that I needed to change my lifestyle but I wasn't doing it fast enough. We closed escrow on the property in October of 2016 and that November I was in the ER. I almost died. Spent my birthday and Thanksgiving in the hospital.Soon after that I quit my job at the CPA firm and started working from home. Located in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country, you'll be minutes away from 50 wineries. Situated down a quiet rural lane, and secluded by lush California pepper trees, your glamping spot is an ideal getaway for wine lovers who prefer to get away from the city hustle.
The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers. Onsite parking is available for one vehicle per campsite (additional spots may be available on request).
In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50+ nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation.
You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups.

We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses. In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity.

At 10,833 feet in elevation, this is the second highest peak in California. There are two ways to get to the summit. You can hike the whole thing or shave off about 6000 vertical feet by riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Either way, the summit is not to be missed.
For a real challenge try the epic Cactus to Clouds trail. It was rated as one of the hardest day hikes in the world by Backpacking Magazine. Its 21 miles take you skyward through sub-alpine forests, mountain meadows, snow-dusted crags, and gnarled granite. An alpine start is required to avoid the midday heat so be prepared and take plenty of water.
Campers have plenty to choose from. The San Jacinto area offers two drive-in campsites, four hike-in primitive campsites, and adventures for every brand of wilderness craving. If you want to backpack to the summit over a day or two try the Deer Springs Trail. This park has adventures for every brand of wilderness craving.

We have 2 full outdoor bathrooms, one was most recently added at our Elderberry Camp Site (site 1), and is also close to site 4 our Oaks Campsite as well. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. Our products are available for purchase, with or without a tasting. We recommend you bring cash if you are interested. We also take Venmo!
GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

This is seriously such an incredible place and experience! Joshua’s land is beautiful, well maintained and the tent itself so comfortable. The view is UNBEATABLE, with amazing dark sky visibility as well. it was easy to find and get to, but still felt super private. It also had everything we needed to prepare and eat a couple meals comfortably. The property is shared with Joshua’s father Ghost who is so nice and who graciously showed us around before leaving us to our privacy. The clean private toilet was also a huge plus. we seriously cannot wait to come back—the perfect getaway from SD or anyone looking for a unique and comfortable camping experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this camping experience! If you want to find a beautiful place to enjoy nature while having the most amazing hosts ever, then camp here! Enjoy LOTS of space to relax and hike around this amazing property. Definitely tour the orchard! Buy their amazing products, and hear the story of this family’s organic farm. This site was perfect for our family and friends with children from age 6 to 18 years old. It was immaculate. The bathroom made this mama so thankful after having some grubby happy campers that I could clean up before tucking in. The well water was superb. If you aren’t convinced yet, I don’t know what else to say! We are 100 percent coming back to camp here again and visit our newly made friends. Fall in love with California again at Villa Macala!

The entire place is an homage to architect, metal artist and sign maker Bob Morris who reimagined and helped create old town Temucula. Great trip with friends and family this weekend. We really appreciate how clean the bathrooms were, and how our campgrounds were well maintained. The fire pits are in good location and condition, and it was cozy throughout the night. Despite getting caught in a heat wave there were areas under the trees for us to hang out at until it became cooler. Overall this was a great quiet spot to spend time at without being close to neighbors.

We had such a beautiful weekend at this campground! The setting is truly centered in nature, with little to no outside noise, exactly what we were looking for in a peaceful getaway. Even when a few campers started getting a bit loud, the host quickly stepped in and kindly asked them to quiet down, which we really appreciated. The sunset and sunrise and other views were absolutely stunning. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of birds and nature was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge.
We stayed at the Whispering Winds site, which was a great spot. The restroom was conveniently located and not too far of a walk for us.
We would 100% recommend this place and will definitely be returning!

The Oak Grove was a really fun stay. We chose the meadow area this time, and the view was gorgeous with all of the grass and clover growing in. If you are wondering about the sites in the meadow, the ground is free of debris, making it okay for you to drive on to get your site comfortable. The flushing toilets all over camp are clean and functional. It is great to be able to wash up in the hot showers as well. I love seeing all the new developments at camp every time I come. There is now a horse and a cute donkey on the property. The roads are a little rutted due to the recent storms, but the roads at Splitrock are regularly maintained and graded, usually after the storm season has passed. Still, most any 2WD vehicle can drive on the roads just fine. Please remember to leave your sites the way you found them or better. Thanks again, Ben and Splitrock.

We arrived after dark and found our way to the campsite easily. The moon was super bright so we didn't even need headlamps to set up. There weren't very many other people that we saw, only a few in the morning that were walking the trails and such.
There were tons of wild rabbits so do keep your dog secure if they like to chase! We could hear them thumping when we got close to their burrows.
Everything was super convenient, bathrooms were close by, water spigot right by the picnic table and the fire pit was lovely.
It was also super warm, we were just in tshirts and outside until around 1:30am without being cold at all. Not really any mosquitoes either!

Splitrock was one of the biggest highlights of our trip from San Diego all the way up to San Fransisco RV camping all the way. We camped 11 nights and chose to spend three of them at split Rock, making it out last stop in the way back down. The grounds are AWESOME, tons of great walks and nature, extraordinary views at night, minimal light pollution so you could see many cobstillations and plants from the very cool observation deck. My son lived the goats. The bathroom and facilities were clean and ample throughout the grounds. We stayed at the communal campground and also at a Van Life site one night were we met some very cool folks who were also van camping. Great walks and light level hiking throughout. The folks we met camp hosting were also super friendly and helpful. Also, Fallbrook is very close by with a grocery store and a couple nice taco spots and stuff. Lastly, the drive up and back down to and from the grounds is incredibly beautiful with awesome twistys and excellent views.
All in all, I could not recommend Splitrock more highly, and this is after camping up and down the coast in all sorts of places. 5 stars all day.

This place was absolutely magical. The observatory deck has stunning 360° views overlooking both the mountains and the ocean, truly breathtaking. Ben, the owner, was so friendly and welcoming, and his hospitality really made the stay feel special. The camp host was also incredibly sweet and helpful; she greeted me when I arrived, directed me to my campsite, and stayed communicative the whole time.
The property itself is gorgeous, peaceful, tranquil, and serene. Goats roam freely around the land, and the owners’ shepherd‑like dogs were such a sweet addition to the experience. It felt like stepping into a little off‑grid paradise.
The amenities were great too: off‑grid hot showers, flushable toilets, and everything was clean and well maintained.
Such a beautiful space and an unforgettable stay. I’ll definitely be back. 😊
