We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses. In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.

FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.

GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

At 10,833 feet in elevation, this is the second highest peak in California. There are two ways to get to the summit. You can hike the whole thing or shave off about 6000 vertical feet by riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Either way, the summit is not to be missed.
For a real challenge try the epic Cactus to Clouds trail. It was rated as one of the hardest day hikes in the world by Backpacking Magazine. Its 21 miles take you skyward through sub-alpine forests, mountain meadows, snow-dusted crags, and gnarled granite. An alpine start is required to avoid the midday heat so be prepared and take plenty of water.
Campers have plenty to choose from. The San Jacinto area offers two drive-in campsites, four hike-in primitive campsites, and adventures for every brand of wilderness craving. If you want to backpack to the summit over a day or two try the Deer Springs Trail. This park has adventures for every brand of wilderness craving.

This little farm is being brought back to life! Once part of an 160 acre avocado farm now it is a 15 acre little slice of heaven purchased in 2019. Previously the farm had been let go and now our duty is to get it back in shape. We are making steady progress and fall in love with the land more everyday. Currently we are also planting about an acre of lavender which should be a beautiful backdrop come 2024. Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

This was my first experience at a Hipcamp. I loved it! It was fun to have goats and a llama wander through the camp site. The last 2 nights I was the only camper and the howl of coyotes made me feel like a pioneer alone on the prairie.

I had such a nice little get away :) I had never been camping alone before so wanted somewhere relatively local and not too into the wilderness to give it a go. Arrived to a nice clean paved little site which I really appreciated since I have just a small sedan not meant for off roading at all. I opted for the stove and the fire pit which Garth had set up ready to go! He came out to check in with me when I got there and fortunately I did not need any assistance this trip but had I needed it I know would’ve been taken care of! Not a ton of shade and it did get warm but there was plenty of breeze! The Pepper spot had a beautiful view, I also set my tent up in front the tree with flowers under it which a hummingbird frequently visited, probably my favorite little perk :) yes, you’re clearly on someone’s property lol but with a little effort that can stay mostly out of view and it’s a beautiful property anyways so I don’t see any cons personally. I would stay here again happily :)

Dave, the property care-taker was very kind and enthusiastic about making sure we had everything we needed!
We loved that we had a bathroom right on our site, and when it got too hot, we were able to connect the hose to the pergola that had misters installed.
We loved how natural everything was,
and the scenery was amazing!
Note that there is not a lot of flat ground at our site Elderberry than we expected, but we made it work.
The fire pit was perfect. the wood-burning stove was super cool but, not practical for us because the wood was burning too fast for it to heat up the stove top.
Now the tasting and tour is A MUST!
Not only is it free, but you get to try all the amazing jams and olive oil they make here at the orchard! The tasting was held by the property owner, and she was the sweetest and we loved hearing her stories.
The tour was definitely a rush! Dave took us all around the property on what felt like a juiced up golf cart, and it was crazy fun. He had a lot of cool stories to tell as well, and it was really cool to see where all the jams and oil come from, and the history of the land.
I will warn you, the ride will for sure have you covered in dirt by the end of it! 😆
The swings were also really fun, you can see the grounds from up top!

The whole family loved camping here and we are already planning another trip with friends! Lots of space for the kids to run and play. We camped at the redtail rock campground. There were lots of big boulders to climb on and block the wind. No shade so bring a pop up. There are goats roaming around which was really exciting to see them cruising by.
The campstore doesn’t have much… firewood, fuel, some snacks. No ice, no beer or wine.
I didn’t feel like the $10 extra baby goat experience was really worth it. There’s plenty of opportunities to see the goats without paying. And I guess I didn’t explain to my children that we paid to be in the pin with the goats (to feed the baby goats) because they got in trouble for letting themselves in to the goat pin the following day. There are also some private residences scattered throughout the property. My children also got in trouble for getting off the main road and walking near one of the trailers. They were following the goats lol. So just make sure you review the rules with the kiddos. It’s a quick 5 min trip to the river. Lots of nice shady hikes there.

This was an amazing experience and our first time taking our youngest camping. Being surrounded by the eucalyptus trees was very calming and thankfully it wasn’t as hot as we thought it would be. We had a wonderful hiking adventure just wandering around and saw beautiful views! The restrooms were clean and the little ninja setup was fun for our daughter. ☺️ We roasted marshmallows on the gas fire pit they provided and saw a stunning blue moon that night. Jordan and Rheanna were very helpful hosts. When we had our battery unexpectedly die on us the morning we had packed up, they were able to bring us a jumper pack without hesitation.
Can’t wait to come back and see the place in different seasons!

We loved this campsite! I truly wish we had planned for more than 2 nights here during our trip. My 7 year old fully agreed, saying it was the one spot on our trip (that included Disney) that he would have liked more time. The views were breathtaking, and the wandering goat herd was so much fun.
The outdoor shower was great, but be sure to bring a towel to stand on or some sort of shower shoes. The base is a rock thats a bit rough to bare feet (but great for being non-slip).

We tent camped in the Oak Grove and it was a beautiful experience. We were the only people there! It was our new puppy's first camping trip and both our dogs enjoyed the wide open space to run around in! The toilets were clean, and nearby. It was easy to find, and Benjamin sends detailed information before your stay. I would highly recommend this beautiful farm to my friends and family!

Our stay at the Bee Box RV site was absolutely incredible! The spot was impeccably clean, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The setup is fantastic, with a great covered patio, relaxing fire pit, and a spotless private bathroom.
The staff was exceptionally friendly. A special shoutout to David, who gave us a warm welcome and a wonderful tour of the property. While there, we bought some of their olive oil and fresh pressed pomegranate juice, hands down the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this beautiful, scenic getaway. We'll be back!
