Weekend Trip to Grand Canyon Oasis High Desert Camp

Nice little park close to Wupakti National Monument, Sunset Crater, the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff. Quiet and clean. Right off the highway but the road noise was a non-issue for us. The dog park was a bit overgrown and the only real issue we had with the place was the stickers that got in our pups feet on a regular basis. Not sure how that can be rectified, certain areas are just prone to goats head weeds and other pokey weeds. There is an amazing walking path just outside the fence which was fabulous and went for miles, our fur babies could have walked for days and days into the National Forest! We would surely stay again and recommend it to friends or anyone passing through the area!

We loved our stay on Holly’s land. We were welcomed by Zeus 🐕 and Romeo 🦃 and so many other goats and horses. All are very nice and peaceful during the night ! The stars are wonderful with very small light pollution. It was a bit windy so no campfire unfortunately. Highly recommended !

Weekend Trip to Grand Canyon Oasis High Desert Camp

We are new to Hipcamp. We are on our first long trip since retirement. We wanted to be near Flagstaff to be close to many places around Flagstaff that we wanted to see, so the Grand Canyon Oasis sounded inviting. Im not going to lie, it said just north of town… and it is… but leaving Flagstaff to the north on 89, we realized it was 24 miles out of town. Just north of town you crest a hill and see nothing but a vast landscape of beautiful high desert an a very long straight away downhill. No sign of civilization at all. So my wife and I are thinking hmmmm! Several miles later we come over a crest and see a couple buildings. Alas, we are here. After some looking we saw the path between the buildings to the campground, plenty of maneuvering room and well marked, we made our way to site #6. We face way from the highway giving us the most expansive view of high desert as far as the eye could see. Wonderful to see that. The campground only has about ten sites or so and many have tiny houses already set up for those without an RV. The campground was covered with 1/4” red lava rock. No mud, no potholes, all good. I’ll stay here again if I ever get back this way despite my initial thoughts. In fact we extended two more days! We day tripped to Sedona, Winslow, Prescott, and of course the big one, the Grand Canyon. The only downside to here would be that if you plan to imbibe in some drinks in town, this is not the place. Thumbs up from us!

We loved Holly’s place! The animals and host are very welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect distance from everything we wanted to do in Sedona while still being tranquil and quiet. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Cornville!

This place is just amazing. It encourages you to be outside weather permitted. I stayed in one of the sites that has the grill and fireplace. It was very nice to experience that, especially when it snowed! I had that fireplace going. It was beautiful. Next to the campground is a national forest and it was very nice for my dog and I to walk through the trails. The clubhouse is not a clubhouse. It’s a chalet! It is gorgeous and so inviting. The staff is very nice, especially Sabrina. Whenever I had questions or concerns, she was always so accommodating. And she makes a great peach Arizona mule. Thank you, Sabrina for your hospitality. I will certainly be back again.

I’d highly recommend Verde camp. Extremely clean, and had every amenity. Also we went over Easter break and they had two Easter egg hunts that my kids had a total blast participating in. My family loved the pool and the game room. We want to make it a tradition every Easter break.

We stayed one night in a 23ft sprinter. This was a perfect spot after a night of star gazing at Lowell. Davan was quick to respond to question. Location was easy to find, private and the neighborhood felt safe. This spot is great.

We are a family-owned RV park and tiny home village located 50 minutes from the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and only 20 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our family -- Adam, Shelley, Zoe, Ava, and Cairo -- purchased the RV park in 2021. The property was a trading post for decades but had fallen into disrepair. We have been busy painting, cleaning and improving the grounds to become a comfortable oasis for your family. Our location on US Hwy 89 on the east side of the highway is only a few miles from the breathtaking aspens of Lockett Meadow, the ruins of Wupatki National Monument and the lava flows at Sunset Crater. The park is a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Moab and Durango. Stay the night or as long as you like! Drink in the hibiscus sunrises above the Painted Desert and relax into the long shadows of the San Francisco Peaks. Our sunsets and night star-gazing are just spectacular and we're enough off the beaten path that there's no crowds or traffic to deal with, but you are close to dining and area attractions. This is a quiet, rural neighborhood and a peaceful farm that borders the National Forest for easy hiking and few neighbors. The farm animals do cluck, crow, whinny, neigh, baa, bleat, squeal, and oink at various times, including early morning. There is one mile of a somewhat bumpy gravel road with hills to reach our neighborhood, so please make sure you are ready for that and have adequate towing power. The nearest services and dining are 5 minutes away. We are about 25-30 minutes to Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, and the popular red rock hiking sites.
