In an old farming area of Gilbert, stay in your RV with electrical, water, and sewer hookups, and enjoy the beautiful pool and hot tub (shared space)! Our home is on a 1 acre lot. The RV parking is on one side of the garage, and there is a large grassy area with huge shade trees on the other side of the house. The pool and hot tub are shared with the owners family. For safety and security there are audio/video cameras at the driveway, front door, and pool areas of the house. Things to do in the area: If you like hiking: Hieroglyphic Canyon is a must-see hike while you’re in AZ! Trailhead is about a 33 minute drive from the house. Some beautiful views on the Lost Dutchman Trailhead, about 28 minutes away. South Mountain Preserve has great views of the city. About 21 minute drive. Horseback riding: ride the San Tans with MD Ranch LLC. About 40 minutes away. Yeehaw! If you like golf: Top Golf is a favorite, about 10 minutes away. Dobson Ranch Golf Course is only 15 minutes away. The Links at Queen Creek is a Par-70 golf club with putting/chipping area, rental clubs, carts, bar and grille, and fully stocked pro-shop. About 28 minutes. Las Colinas Golf Club…lots of courses to choose from. 28 minutes away. Activities for adults: Wine tasting at this industrial modern local winery? Yes, please! At Garage East, about 11 minutes away. Challenge yourself and have a blast at Paragon Escape Rooms, about 22 minutes away. Activities for kids: Freestone park is only 5 minutes away and has batting cages, basketball courts, volleyball courts, 3 playground areas and picnic tables. Visit Sea Life Aquarium’s 360 degree tunnel and feel like you’re swimming in the sea while never getting wet! 18 minutes away. Visit Legoland for all things legos, rides, and more! About 18 minutes away. Mansel Carter Oasis Park offers a splash pad, skate plaza, basketball and volleyball courts, 5-acre fishing pond, and more! About 27 minutes away. Gilbert Regional Park has a splash pad and tons of space to play. About 18 minutes away. Main Event has arcade, laser tag, bowling, billiards, food and fun for the whole family! About 11 minutes away. Fat Cats Gilbert has a movie theatre, bowling, and arcade! 4 minutes away. Feeling wild? The Phoenix zoo is amazing! About 26 minutes away. Awesome spot! The host was there to greet us, plenty of room for our truck and 25’ trailer. Nice, quiet location and meticulously well-kept! The pups were super happy to be able to run around. Absolutely would recommend and hopefully will be able to stop again next time we are through the area.

Weekend Trip to The Sunset Nooks

Directions clear, found the site after dark without issue. Cory is responsive and provides a welcoming site. Site has two well placed trees to provide natural shade for the tent. Site is fenced in, with a swing close gate - provides peace of mind for those with kids. Plenty of space, we fit a 10 person and a canopy with space for likely 1-2 more tents. We biked to the lake, very tucked location, not public access, so had it to ourselves. Great view of the distant mountains. Fish may be smarter than us as we only managed a small tilapia, but the lake is lively with plenty of fish jumping out along the shore line. Portable bathroom was pristinely clean, one of the best we’ve seen. Site is well kept, we look forward to returning and seeing what else Cory can do with the place! Most importantly - Cory is a phenomenal host - welcoming, helpful, and laid back. Especially welcoming and willing to help with anything we needed - he went above and beyond to make our weekend trip great. Absolutely recommend this site!

Lovely private spot on the host’s property. Quiet desert setting yet close to stores, restaurants etc. Easy in and out set back from the road and the neighborhood was pleasant to walk my dogs in.

This place is great and perfect for what we were needing. Well kept and clean. Our dogs are free to run and don't need to worry about them wandering off, the land is fenced and gated. Wendy is very friendly and kind. We will continue to stay here when in the area.

The RV spot was wonderful as it had full hookups and was nice and clean. Our dog Birdie was able to come and go from our camper without worrying about a leash as there were drive and walk gates to secure the area. We were able to let Birdie meet Spencer and Melissa’s dog Harley and they got along great. With their permission we would let Birdie and Harley play in the mornings to wear them both out. I will gladly stay again if we find ourselves in the Mesa area and there is availability. Very convenient location. Mike, Nancy, and Birdie.

This is our second stay with Spencer and Melissa. We absolutely love this spot. Its perfect for privacy and quiet time. The yard is fenced and our dog has plenty of space to roam. Their dog Harley is the sweetest girl. She anxiously waits for us to open the gate between the yards so she can come play with our dog. We will definitely stay there every time we are in the area. We have a 45ft Class A and it fits wonderfully with lots of room to spare. We highly recommend this Mesa location.

We chose this spot because of its close proximity to Still University. The camp spot was just as their photos show - a very clean and private site with full hook-ups, including sewer, a fenced yard for our dogs to run around in, and a nice, cool pool to top it off. There were city sounds, but for being in the heart of mass civilization, it proved to be a quiet location, especially in the evening and mornings. Both hosts were kind and friendly. Enjoyed meeting their son and dog also. Thank you Spencer & Melissa.

1 night at Nelles Ranch

Your camping in the backyard of a house on a 2 acre plot. Although it appears to be suburban and the lot is walled/fenced on three sides there is an astonishing amount of wildlife here. Flocks of doves, coveys of quail, tons of rabbits, other birds and we could hear coyotes every morning. The Suarouro (sp?) Cactus are really impressive if you've never been right up close to one. Our stay was quiet and peaceful, and Louise let me park the sprinter under the shade next to the corral... That was huge for keeping the van cool in 105 Phoenix weather. Thank you for that. The place is 20min from Mayo Clinc so we will definitely be back. And yes... we got a fantastic loaf of homemade bread.

Spencer and Melissa were wonderful hosts, and they really put a lot of thought and investment into the space so that campers can have a great stay! The RV parking area was wide and very well-maintained, with so many amenities. It had hookups for power, water and sewer, a brick patio, a fire pit, a sparkling pool and a covered gazebo. The RV gate was secure and had a separate entrance gate with a personalized code for access. The property is conveniently located near many restaurants and retail stores. The hosts were delightful, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay, and we look forward to coming back again!
