Mountain View Retreat

This place was amazing! It was very peaceful and beautiful. It was fun having Jefferies’s two great Pyrenees, three goats and six chickens. It made me a little less homesick😀 We would definitely go back again.

Great setup for the RV with full hookup. We enjoyed the solitude. The grounds are exceptionally kept and while we spent a lot of time in Phoenix there are lawn games, board games and a workout area to use. We received some eggs from the chickens too!

I highly recommend staying here if you are exploring Phoenix area. Beautiful camping on a small farm. Jeffrey & his wife were awesome hosts and even shared some farm fresh eggs with us! The sites are big and the outdoor shower is great! They thought of everything.

Great campsite but the barking

The campsite is well-maintained and clean, making it a great place to camp. However, we had mixed feelings due to their dog barking through the night and continued barking during the day. We were looking for a peaceful escape, so the noise was disappointing. Another unusual point is that while they request no lights, the trees are all lit up with bright lights. Despite these concerns, the hosts and the campground itself are very nice. Perhaps the barking dog was just a one-time occurrence, but it did affect our experience.

Highly recommend!

Jeff’s campground was exactly what we needed. It was SUPER safe feeling with its locking gates, had fantastic amenities like a hot outdoor shower, bathrooms, fruit trees and a hot tub, and Jeff and his wife were so friendly but left you to enjoy your own experience. My daughter and I felt the rules were easy to abide by, and it was great that Jeff gave us a tour of the property and explained how everything worked. I would stay here again and highly recommend this stay.

Jeffrey's property is nicely landscaped and clearly a labor of love. We felt so at peace during our stay, enjoyed watching the goats and using the hot tub. We will stay again next time we are in the Phoenix area.

Perfect First Hipcamp Experience!

We couldn’t have asked for a better first stay! Jeffrey was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our visit. The property itself is beautiful, the hot tub was spotless, and the campsite was cozy and comfortable. Our dog loved playing in the dog park and being around the other animals. Jeffrey truly set the bar high for Hipcamp stays. We highly recommend this spot and look forward to staying here again the next time we’re passing through Phoenix!

Wow! Everything here was amazing—the hosts, the views, the serenity and the animals. Jeffrey and Michelle are incredibly welcoming and dedicated to their guests. It feels like you’re in a private resort surrounded by nature, yet close to shops and services. You should definitely experience it with your RV or in one of their beautiful accommodations. It’s a must-visit when you’re passing by New River!

Stifling

Jeff and his wife are very nice people and the place is nice enough. He is doing his best to set up numerous spots for people to stay on his property. The reason for the negative review is there are wayyy too many rules. You can't have any outside lights on at all, no strong flashlights, no provision for outside fires. He was concerned that a small propane stove was flaring too high during the act of cooking hamburgers. You have to be careful not to disturb his 2 dogs who readily bark which Jeff finds very disturbing. After a while we felt we had to whisper around the campsite. Not a big deal but you can't park by your campsite because he doesn't want undo traffic or noise on his property. He does provide a cart you can use to wheel your belongings from your car to your camper. We actually left early and stayed at a nearby campground which was incredible and stayed another 2 weeks. We would have stayed with Jeff but it was too uncomfortable.

I highly recommend this Hipcamp! Immaculate grounds, everything is so neatly arranged. Beautiful outdoor area to take in the serene mountain views and to watch their farm animals in the pasture. The sites are spacious and it has great wifi connection. The hosts are wonderful! 10/10.

Jeff was great. He allowed my Real Estate Client stay at his property while her property was being finished built. She stayed in My RV. He was able to approve her 13 year old to stay even though they usually don't allow kids. He toured the property prior to my client arriving so I could make sure it was good. Jeff was patient with my client on her hectic moving day which also was the night she moved into my RV.

"Amazing Time Spent There"

We really enjoyed our time at Jeffrey's property. He was a great host, answered any questions we had promptly and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and listening to all the birds and animals. We would definitely recommend Jeffrey's place to anyone.

Mountain View Retreat with Hot Tub

We enjoyed our stay north of Phoenix during our cross country trip across the south and into California. It was conveniently located north of Phoenix with lots of places/little towns to explore nearby as well as being within easy reach of Sedona and the Verde Valley. The site itself is very clean and organized. It is pleasantly laid out with plenty of space between the sites. The views of the surrounding mountains and desert landscape are spectacular. There is an outdoor kitchen and lounge area for campers to use but needs to be scheduled. We were invited to use the hot tub (scheduled blocks of time on the hour). It was rather chilly in the evenings during our stay so we didn’t do much outside after spending our days exploring this very beautiful part of our country. The cost was a bit higher than most but it is commensurate for the amenities. Jeffrey was very attentive to our needs and ensured that we fully briefed on the rules of the use of his place. If you are someone who is uncomfortable with a lot of rules, this probably isn’t the place for you. All in all we had a fantastic stay in this little slice of heaven.

Must stay!!!

This campsite was amazing. We were right next to the chicken coop and enjoyed petting and visiting with the chickens. The goats and their guardian dogs were SO SWEET, calm and gentle. Watching the dogs play together on the trampoline was probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen in my life. The hospitality that the hosts provided was unmatched. After check in, we got a tour, signed up for a slot to use the hot tub. The outdoor kitchen space and seating area was beautiful and sitting there in the evening and using the wifi gave me a nice break from being in the van. The site was quiet, peaceful, and we felt very safe. If we ever make our way to Arizona, I would definitely book a space here again!

Pros: Lots of rules, host very responsive, goats, chickens, dogs, secure camp, level site, hot tub, dog park, views. Cons: Lots of rules, can't keep tow vehicle with camper, can't drive tow vehicle to camper to unload groceries and supplies, can't deliver Amazon packages. Be sure to ask for a personal wagon to ferry items between camper and vehicle if needed.
