We are a family-owned RV park and tiny home village located 50 minutes from the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and only 20 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our family -- Adam, Shelley, Zoe, Ava, and Cairo -- purchased the RV park in 2021. The property was a trading post for decades but had fallen into disrepair. We have been busy painting, cleaning and improving the grounds to become a comfortable oasis for your family. Our location on US Hwy 89 on the east side of the highway is only a few miles from the breathtaking aspens of Lockett Meadow, the ruins of Wupatki National Monument and the lava flows at Sunset Crater. The park is a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Moab and Durango. Stay the night or as long as you like! Drink in the hibiscus sunrises above the Painted Desert and relax into the long shadows of the San Francisco Peaks. She passed a few years ago, and what better way to honor her belief in us than to create Ethel's Hideout. We came from a small ranching family, which has brought us closer than we ever imagined. Located right in the heart of several national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and many more fun things to tour. Hook ups include power and water. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. Traveling with horses? We have just the spot with (8) 12′ x 14′ covered stall. Contact us to book stalls for your horses to stay over night with you.

At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. We are home to a family-friendly honky-tonk, and microbrewery, now open Thu-Sat 3:30pm-8:30pm. Please check our Instagram or Facebook @the4sbarn and @greatskycampranch_showlowaz for updates. Elevation - 3800 feet, not too cold in the winter, gets to 100+ in summer.
Rainy season, is late June through September.
Our 3 sights are all level gravel, 50amp, 30amp and 1 non hookup site.
Imagine yourself sitting out in the warm evenings looking up at the wonderous, star filled sky. Or watching the sun set over the Hualapai Mountains, or getting up early to catch the sun rising over the Aquarius Mountains.
The Hualapai Mountain hiking trails and Lodge (Great food with Mountain views) are within half an hour drive.
The City of Kingman is also half an hour away west on hwy 40. Where there are Wineries, Breweries, Museums, Restaurants and ample shopping, including, of course, a Walmart.
Other nearby fun places to explore:
Follow the famous Mother Road - "Route 66." Where you can:
Visit Peach Springs and drive to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, have a picnic by the beach and splash in the Colorado River.
Take a picture by the 3 dimensional Route 66 sign.
Drive up the 22 mile Sidewinder (191 curves), to the old restored mining town of Oatman, with all kinds of little shops, and a daily gunfight. And be sure to meet the Mayor of Oatman, who is actually one of many locals wandering freely through town, descended from the original Donkeys owned by the miners when they abandoned the town. Yes the mayor is a Donkey, and watch it because he may try to steel your bag if it contains candy or food.
Keep driving down old Rte 66 to Topic, have a drink sitting in one of the Butt Chairs at the bar, or outside overlooking the Marina.
Next drive 40 minutes to Lake Havasu, where there are many great experiences, including hanging out in a little piece of London with Restaurants, Bars and shops along Lake Havasu (Colorado River), under the actual London Bridge. Which was disassembled stone by stone, numbered, shipped and reassembled. Now bridges the City to the Island.
Not too far from here is the Grand Canyon West Entrance. View it's Grandness walking out over the Canyon on the Amazing Glass Skywalk. You can go river rafting, ziplining and explore cultural exhibits depicting ancient village life.

Though tucked away to give the illusion of seclusion, we are located only 7 miles from downtown Kanab Utah. Kanab features many fun and exciting events throughout the year. Located right in the heart of several national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and many more fun things to tour. Hook ups include power and water. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. We are home to a family-friendly honky-tonk, and microbrewery, now open Thu-Sat 3:30pm-8:30pm. Please check our Instagram or Facebook @the4sbarn and @greatskycampranch_showlowaz for updates. Elevation - 3800 feet, not too cold in the winter, gets to 100+ in summer.
Rainy season, is late June through September.
Our 3 sights are all level gravel, 50amp, 30amp and 1 non hookup site.
Imagine yourself sitting out in the warm evenings looking up at the wonderous, star filled sky. Or watching the sun set over the Hualapai Mountains, or getting up early to catch the sun rising over the Aquarius Mountains.
The Hualapai Mountain hiking trails and Lodge (Great food with Mountain views) are within half an hour drive.
The City of Kingman is also half an hour away west on hwy 40. Where there are Wineries, Breweries, Museums, Restaurants and ample shopping, including, of course, a Walmart.
Other nearby fun places to explore:
Follow the famous Mother Road - "Route 66." Where you can:
Visit Peach Springs and drive to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, have a picnic by the beach and splash in the Colorado River.
Take a picture by the 3 dimensional Route 66 sign.
Drive up the 22 mile Sidewinder (191 curves), to the old restored mining town of Oatman, with all kinds of little shops, and a daily gunfight. And be sure to meet the Mayor of Oatman, who is actually one of many locals wandering freely through town, descended from the original Donkeys owned by the miners when they abandoned the town. Yes the mayor is a Donkey, and watch it because he may try to steel your bag if it contains candy or food.
Keep driving down old Rte 66 to Topic, have a drink sitting in one of the Butt Chairs at the bar, or outside overlooking the Marina.
Next drive 40 minutes to Lake Havasu, where there are many great experiences, including hanging out in a little piece of London with Restaurants, Bars and shops along Lake Havasu (Colorado River), under the actual London Bridge. Which was disassembled stone by stone, numbered, shipped and reassembled. Now bridges the City to the Island.
Not too far from here is the Grand Canyon West Entrance. View it's Grandness walking out over the Canyon on the Amazing Glass Skywalk. You can go river rafting, ziplining and explore cultural exhibits depicting ancient village life.

WOW, what am amazing place to stay, relax, watch the sunrise, sunset and the starry sky. Easy access to Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon and the surrounding national monuments. They have room for all size RVs, tents, and boondockers. Shelly and Adam have done an amazing job with this place, including a new dog park. The Lodge has exercise equipment, a comfy sofa for tv viewing, a pool table, ping pong table and air hockey. They have food, snacks and fresh eggs for purchase. We were there 11 nights and hated to leave.

You do notice a little road noise from Hwy 89, but not unbearable. Defiantly will spend a couple nights here when passing through in the future.

One the best hidden gems! The owners were so nice. It rained most of the day we were there so we hung out in the “lodge” all day with our dog and played cards, pool, darts and ping pong. Even watched a few movies.
We will definitely be back next March for a longer stay.

We stayed two nights here in our RV to explore the Grand Canyon. It's such a great spot, we loved the lodge with games, the chickens, and Squeaks the resident cat! The claim that this campground is big rig friendly may be a stretch, we have a 34' motorhome towing a 28' cargo trailer and it was pretty tight getting into our spot. The sites are definitely not level. The scenery is beautiful.

Northern Arizona
While northern Arizona's best-known attraction is the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, there’s plenty more to see and do, from visiting Lake Powell on the Colorado River to backcountry tent camping among the ponderosa pines in the Coconino National Forest, Prescott National Forest, and Kaibab National Forest. Sedona, just south of Flagstaff, also makes a great base for hiking among Arizona's Red Rocks or swimming in Oak Creek Canyon’s Slide Rock State Park.
Western Arizona
Dubbed Arizona's "West Coast," this part of the state offers all sorts of outdoor activities, much of which revolve around the Colorado River. The town of Yuma near the southern border is a popular spot, featuring an old Wild West prison and serving as a good base for visiting the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge. Attractions further north include Lake Havasu State Park, where you can swim, camp, or even check out the 19th-century London Bridge. Further north, the massive Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers year-round camping and easy access to two lakes.
Central Arizona
While it's easy to associate central Arizona with Phoenix sprawl, this region offers a lot for outdoorsy types, all within a short drive of the city. Popular spots for outdoors lovers include the Superstition Mountains in the Tonto National Forest, Lost Dutchman State Park, and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. If you're interested in archaeology, the Montezuma Castle National Monument is also worth a visit.
Southern Arizona
Southern Arizona is full of Wild West spirit, with a mix of historic ghost towns and scenic desert landscapes, plus plenty of forests, particularly in the Chiricahua Mountains. Must-visit parks include Saguaro National Park and Catalina State Park—both just outside Tucson. If it gets too hot, make like a local and head to Patagonia Lake State Park, a prime spot to swim and cool off from the Arizona heat.
