It was our dream to build a place of refuge for ourselves and others to share. It's simple, rural, surrounded by the history of the old west. The amazing garden was in sore neglect when we found it in 2015. It is now alive and thriving; 15 raised beds of veggies, with culinary and medicinal herbs, grapevines, blackberries and elderberries, too. With our own well (we just dug it this past July), our water is PURE; a 1500 gallon catch tank holds our beloved monsoon rains. And in season, the figs are fabulous...and so are the pomegranates. We cherish no street lights and dirt roads - peaceful and serene - endless skies, beautiful mountains. If you love the land and the high desert, you will love it here!Learn more about this land:We have a 430 square foot western style bunkhouse with living/kitchen/dining area, private bath with shower only, one bedroom with queen bed. Kitchen is equipped with electric stove/oven, full size refrigerator, with stylized washtub as kitchen sink. Firestick TV, mini-split heating and cooling, with linens, coffee maker, dishes/pots and pans included.

The Hummingbird Capital of the world is next door in Sierra Vista. Come a see what we are talking about and stay a night or two at the Glory Seed Ranch! Learn more about this land:We have beautiful scenic views of the Dragoon Mountains, Whetstone Mountains, Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone range Mountains and the Huachuca Mountains. You must cross the Babiqumari River to access this little gem of a horse property. There is plenty of State Parks nearby as well as state land hiking and walking available. With wildlife galore, from deer grazing in the morning, to rabbits darting around or a turkey crossing... Maybe you will see a hummingbird, or perhaps the dozens of birds taking flight. Nearby, in Sierra Vista, is the Hummingbird capital of the world. At night you can almost touch the stars... Peaceful and quiet! We are only 20 minutes away from Tombstone.

We have just reopened our campground January 2023. Sleep under the trees of the mesquite bosque. Dip in our swimming hole when it's warm enough. Take a stroll down into the dry San Pedro River bed in the dry season. Our small homestead has dogs, cats, pigs and various small farm animals depending on the time of year. Besides our amazing bird population, we have a seasonal colony of bats on the property. Sit by the pond and watch as they whizz by to get a drink before they head out into the summer night. I grew up on this property, my daughter was born here and it has been various things over the years from a small family farm to a charter school to a work trade program. Now it's our small homestead now. All money raised by this site is going right back into the campground, eventually a small cabin space too! We do not live in cell service so please do not use our number as you would a mobile phone. It is a landline. The camp site is close enough to access our Wi-Fi.
