We have a horse, chickens, goats and pet sheep. There are lots of fruit trees, over 100 oak trees, a secret cave, and an old barn. At night you’ll hear crickets while you enjoy the fresh air. There is a large camping area for you and you’re welcome to visit the farm animals. There is also a kennel available if you bring your dog. The camping spot is flat. You’ll drive up a small hill and then arrive Learn more about this land: Shaded private getaway, close to the highway but quiet. Area is on a small hill with a nice view. We are 20 minutes from San Luis Obispo, 8 minutes from Paso Robles, and 25 minutes from Morro Bay. Lots of hiking with wine and beer tasting nearby. We are close to the Midstate Fair, and about 15 minutes from Vina Robles.30 amp Shaded private getaway, close to the highway but quiet. The Large camping area is flat, on a small hill with a nice view . We are 20 minutes from San Luis Obispo, 8 minutes from Paso Robles, and 25 minutes from Morro Bay. Lots of hiking with wine and beer tasting nearby. We are close to the Midstate Fair, and about 15 minutes from Vina Robles. Santa Margarita Lake is about 25 minutes. Extra parking is available if needed.

Nice quiet and shady spot

This is a nice quiet and shady spot with a large flat area to park your vehicle/rig. About 12 minutes from Paso Robles. Right across the driveway from the hosts home. I never met her, but saw her coming and going. So, she just left me alone which I appreciated.

Exactly what we needed!

We needed a site with hookups and enough space to feel comfortable as we passed through the Atascadero area on a trip down the coast. We were grateful that Barb's spot fit the bill perfectly! We had hookups and water and a pen for our dogs. We were grateful for the kind greeting but equally for the space to do our thing and carry on our trip. Thank you so much for having us, Barb!

Wonderful Time

We had a great time on Barb’s property. She was quick to respond to my messages and was very clear about the do’s and don’t’s. Even though we had some rain urging the stay, the ground didn’t get muddy because she has some decomposed granite on the site, which was great. The water dripping off the leaves of the many oaks was very soothing in our trailer. The water and 30 amp hook ups worked perfectly and the site was nice and clean. Its location is perfect for exploring the Central Coast. We got to chat with Barb our last day there and she was so pleasant. We are already planning our next trip to the area and would love to stay there again.

This was a great spot! It was secluded and had power and water hookups if needed. It was also very close to Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. We would definitely recommend this spot and would stay here again in the future!

This is a nice place to go right near 101. It was good to be up on the hillside under the oaks. We enjoyed meeting the couple of sheep and barn cats. Was a little adventure for me to turn around and back up a 26' trailer for the first time, but there was enough room for us to get it done.

Great stay for your visit to Paso!

This is a wonderful place to camp when you’re visiting Paso Robles. It’s private, tucked into (Oak?) trees that filter the stars at night and the sunrises in the morning. Quite a beautiful sight. Our host, Barb, was very helpful and welcoming. She brought over some beautiful little cheesecakes that she had just baked shortly after we arrived. The site itself easily accommodated our 40’ rig (airstream + truck, although the listing states some concerns about larger rigs.) The location is close to town and all the amazing wineries and attractions this area offers. We wandered up the property one day and met a steer and three sweet kittens, as well as the neighbor who stopped for a friendly chat. All of this was thoroughly enjoyable. We will return to View on a Hill!

Pretty and quiet place to camp

Great place to park our truck and camper for several nights while visiting family and exploring the area. Quiet place to sleep. Clean area up on a hill among trees and a distance from the house. Appreciated the power and water. Although Barb was very quick in responding to my texts we never talked to or saw anyone. Hope to ome back.

A quiet and pretty place to park

Big pro: Cute little farm we stayed at with our toddler. Cons: FYI, it was wet and winter, but we were not allowed to do a fire or even light a grill to warm up food in the morning due to fire ban, as stated in the description. Can hear freeway noise and there was a bright light in front of main house that I wish could be dimmed or turned off at night.

Sweet ranch camp

I requested a last minute stay and Barb graciously accepted. She sent detailed directions to my phone and the spot is clean, large, private and not far from anything you want to do. It was rainy so I didnt get a chance to enjoy the large outdoor picnic table provided but it did look inviting!

Best camping experience ever

I had the most magical experience camping here in our RV with my best friend on Christmas weekend. The camping spot is surrounded by gorgeous forested hills. Waking up to the sounds of diverse birds, such incredible smells of the trees and plants all around. Barb and Elle were the most wonderful hosts and introduced us to their three horses, one of which was a miniature horse named Kisses. Honestly the most friendly horses I’ve ever encountered, eating lush grass from our hands and gladly accepting our pets. Our hosts also gifted us some herbs and lemons from their garden that we added to our dinner. So close to beautiful state parks like Los Osos and Morro Rock to explore and watch the sunset. Absolutely recommend and we can’t wait to return !

Barb was very communicative, and met us after dark in a pouring rain to make sure we had everything we needed. The site was easy enough to get in and out of with our 30 foot class C. It's a beautiful place, and we enjoyed a nice walk the next morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Private Site

Close to all the pricy stuff in Paso plus easy day trip to Morro Bay & Cambria. Very private, big level pad but tricky maneuvering for a trailer. I'd expect the same for a large RV. Great directions for that. Water & 15 amp though I didn't use it. Host was very prompt at replying since I stayed an extra day plus booked next weekend too.

This was our second stay at this property. All was in good order, everything worked well: large level site, electricity, water. Quiet and peaceful well-shaded location. Good directions and communication with host. Highly recommended if you are wanting to stay along the central coast, Paso Roles wine region.

Good location and easy site access for a travel trailer; Very private, quiet and great views! Barb was a perfect host. When power went out (local utility issue) and she was very responsive - kept us updated etc. We will definitely visit again!

The locating was far enough from away from 101 that it was very slight background type noise. Three coastal town close by two small towns very to the 101. Huge oak trees provided a large shaded area perfect to enjoy the wildlife ,deer, wild turkeys, ,many types of birds, and farm animals.

Beautiful morning light

We really liked that stop on our way back to SF. Close to the highway and yet very quiet. It was private enough to leave the front windows of the RV without privacy shields. We saw a dear on the land and loved the light in the morning. That spot was rather perfect I must say, I would have stayed longer if I had the time!

Beautiful private site on a hillside. Large space with electric and water hookups, very convenient. Table and chairs for meals. In the shade of tall trees, Great host well and made sure we had ever we needed. Very convenient if visiting the region of Paso Robles, Mono Bay, or stopping betwen LA and San Francisco. Highly recommended.

Shady spot in wine country

Barb has a beautiful, shaded camping spot on a hill. The pad is fairly level with convenient 30amp and water hook ups. Friendly horses to pet on the property as well as geese and chickens. Conveniently located to everything in the area. We camped in our 28' Airstream, a little tricky getting into the spot (we had to go further up the hill to turn around before we could back into the camping spot), but the spot is ample for a trailer that size with room to play.
