Overall I am very unsatisfied by this listing. I saw the positive rating being 96% so I decided to book this place but after looking at the reviews left by other people. I will disclose that it is in fact needing some work. I wouldn’t really say that it is glamping but more of a mid way between a tent camping and glamping. Had some issue looking for the house during the evening and also if you have Verizon then you won’t get service. One thing nice is that you are away from your busy world. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you want a glamping experience for the price which was paid tho. Need more work done to equate the cost of the cabin.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!!
The place was very dirty, here is a list of everything:
- The whole placed looked abandon.
- Spider webs everywhere inside of the cabin. I have stayed in plenty of cabins, it's normal to see spider webs outside but not inside, on the grill, or porch.
- There was a dead lizard in the garbage can.
- The furniture outside was very old and in bad condition, most cushions were ripped.
- The couch inside had some bad stains and it smell bad.
- The bedding smell too. We had to purchase blankets in order to sleep.
- The dish sponge was disgusting.
- There was standing water with rotting leaves in the shower and smell quite bad.
- There was standing water in the recycling bin and it also smell bad.
- The corner of the outhouse was bent and the hand rail to get in was broken.
- There was rat pee and poop in multiple places in the outhouse, including right next to the toilet paper. The pee was dried, which means it had been there for several days at least. This shows they didn't clean the place before our arrival. This is simply not acceptable, it's very unsanitary.
- The outhouse lights were not working.
This place is in awful conditions and should not even be listed. I wish I could upload all the photos so people can see the actual conditions of this place.

I stayed at this casita about 5 years ago and loved it so much that we went back this past weekend. I was so excited to go back but ended up leaving the trip very disappointed. It looks like this place hasn’t been cleaned/kept up for awhile now. The cooking area has a lot of leaves and spider webs, rodent droppings and flies in the restroom, couch and blankets were dirty, spiders above the bed and outdoor shower was full of leaves. To top it off, I think the septic tank is full so when we washed dishes, the whole casita started to smell like feces. The hot water for the shower didn’t work as well. I was counting down the min to leave this place unfortunately :( with a bit of TLC and a whole lot of cleaning, I think this place can be magical again. Really hoping things turn around cuz it really was magical before.

This is what I sent Dana yesterday. Still no response.
Didn’t really hear back from you, but we did make it to your shed We were not really too pleased, after paying $250 for a night stay, we expected it to be in much better shape than what we found. We don’t mind “distressed” look, but this felt just distressed. It felt grimy, spider webs were everywhere, table surfaces barely wiped off, etc. The new (?) bath area was a little better. The roof is crashed in, the toilet door missing hardware etc, but we at least felt it being reasonable clean. It’s such a cool little spot and the ideas and colors looks cute, but what was meant to be shabby chique just feels shabby. You charge $90 for cleaning (w pet) and I wish you use it fully instead of just a quick once over and added rent.

The casita has seen better days. The pictures were slightly deceiving. It just looked like the place had been unoccupied and untouched for a while from the outside. I went for my birthday from LA to get some time to relax and enjoy nature but, during the less than 24 hours there, maintenance to the main house’s hard and surrounding area was being mowed/leaf blown from the time we got there 4:30pm and when we got back from dinner 7:30pm. That was fine, albeit still annoying, but the kicker was the 6:30am leaf blowing in the morning. The inside of the casita was fine just not very cozy. I was looking forward to hanging out outside with a glass of wine but the outside wasn’t inviting and as I said - untouched with cobwebs and debris. I understand this is hipcamp but still if we were comparing it to the pictures it just wasn’t the same. The cool outdoor shower was backed up and out of order. Thankful for the sounds of the trickling creek and the proximity to Halfway Station which was a delight to have wine and food to celebrate my birthday. Oh and the mattress was very nice!

We had a pleasant stay, very comfortable and cozy house, with everything we needed plus board games and the bbq pit was very nice and accommodating, it was great to find some charcoal there! Close to their house, but still feel private! We loved the flexibility and the kindness of the host! Thanks 💕

Overall this was a mixed experience:
- The Good: equidistant to the beach and Paso Robles area, quiet and peaceful location, the casita was clean and cute, the outdoor area was serene and shaded.
- The bad: there was a fair amount of rodent poop in the shower and bathroom area.
- The ugly: the toilet is on a septic system and the tank was overflowing during our stay. We were not able to flush the toilet, because if we did, a river of human wastewater would spill out on the ground, making the area surrounding the casita smell horrible. We communicated this issue to the host on our first morning there and never received a response :/

Loved the outdoor shower, it was a super cute place to spend the night near Morro Bay. I visited with my parents and they moved the loft bedroom, Im a 34 year old women and the only down side is that I wish the sleeper coach was more comfortable but it wasn't the end of the world for just one night. The sounds of nature outside and the sound of the water at the creek was PERFECT! Over all we really enjoyed our stay here.

Overall, we had an okay experience, however there were a few elements that would make us not recommend this spot. The inside of the home was generally clean, and the bedding definitely was, but the outside bathroom had rodent feces in the bathroom and shower areas, and the other outdoor shower was not clean. There were also animals (squirrels or mice) living in the ceiling cavity of the house that scurried around, since this is a loft bed it was not the most comfortable. The sides of the skylights are also open to the elements and lizards liked to enter there. Otherwise, the place had super hot water and great facilities for camp cooking, and no one was in the area which was nice. Not super important, but during our visit there were no goats or any other animals, which could have been disclosed. I’m sorry to have to write a negative review, but I do want to be honest to let others know.

Such a great little spot! Everything is there I really had to bring very little in terms of kitchen and bathroom necessities. The little cabin is exactly as described. Didnt get too hot or too cold! Very comfortable bed. Really nice to hear the little creek the whole time. Close to town for visiting restaurants, parks, wineries and breweries. Would love to come back!

My husband and I, along with our two dogs, had a magical stay here for the weekend! The sounds of the creek were serene, the casita was adorable with a very comfortable bed. There is a nice grill and the propane fire pit was easy to work. We hiked up the hill to get cell service and watch the sunrise in the morning - hike takes less than 5 minutes! Lots of shade and the casita was cool when it was hot, and warm when it got cold at night. The shower worked well - you just have to turn the sink faucet to the temperature you want, then turn the shower on and wait for the temperature to adjust :) A great place for sweet memories!

What a sweet spot to land on our honeymoon! The hosts even left us a bottle of bubbly in the fridge to welcome us :) we never did figure out the hot shower, but otherwise the stay was really perfect and cozy, especially the outdoor fireplace!

Super cute little spot. We stayed overnight on a road trip during the atmospheric river so things were crazy but this was a safe, warm, dry rest spot for us and our dog. LOVED the outdoor shower and would love to return in better weather!

We loved the cozy little cabin ! We had the property to ourselves and wandered the area with our pup care free! The little heater in the cabin came in handy too so don’t worry about freezing over night ! Dana was a great host and was very quick with the replies whenever we had questions.

The Casita was perfect for two people and two pets. The bed was very comfortable and everything felt very clean. The electric heater was great for the cold mornings. The refrigerator was perfect to store a few days worth of food. There are two showers, both with hot water. One shower is at the Casita and private. The real flush toilet was a very nice touch. No need for camp waste bags. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. For cooking the site came with both a propane stove and charcoal bbq grill. The site was close to a lot of stores and the beach. Most things were 10-15 minute drive. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Dana's tiny home. Access to both the grill and the stove made cooking our meals super convenient. The space was cute and thoughtfully decorated. The bathroom was shared with another HipCamp Tent and while we could see the tent up the hill, it was far enough away that the space still felt decently private. Only disappointment was that we didn't see any goats, kitchens or her Border Collie, however, a super friendly cat came by to hang out with us during breakfast on Sunday. So cute!
