Welcome to Ouachita River Haven! Nestled between Ouachita National Forest property and the Ouachita River, our Haven is a peaceful little slice of nature for you to take a break, catch your breath, and enjoy the outdoors! Property has 1000 ft of river access, with canoe & kayak docks, swimming hole, volleyball and tetherball, horseshoes, swings. We offer hiking, mountain biking, and river shuttles as well as canoe/kayak/tube rentals and shuttles. Such trips should be reserved in advance by messaging us or visiting our website. Our office sells firewood for $5/bundle. We also have a small array of custom woodwork items from our woodshop, freeze dried snacks and hiking restocks, food from local vendors, and souvenirs! All primitive sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and campfire grill grate. Electric sites are 30 amp, if using for tent camping you will need a 3-prong converter (we can rent one to you for $5 if you do not have your own). RV/Camper MAXIMUM length is 28 feet. Tipi rental is a camping experience only; it does not have electricity, a/c or heat. There are solar lights inside. We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night. Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. A/C, heat, electricity, TV & DVDs, Microwave, and Mini fridge are inside. Guests use campground restrooms Campground restrooms and showers are a short walk from campgrounds. We are pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed at all times that they are not in a tent or camper and friendly with other dogs and people. There is a working dog on the property-he is friendly with all people and dogs.

Wifi sometimes does extend to the bunkhouse, it is very minimal and not meant for streaming purposes as it is not unlimited. - The family-friendly Ouachita River flows casually past our property and we have 1000 ft of riverfront access to it. A river trip passing massive rock bluffs shaded by tree-lined banks and slopes is just what the doctor ordered! We have canoe, kayak, and tube rentals and shuttles available with prior arrangements! - On site canoeing, kayaking, river tubing, swimming, fishing, hiking, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, tether ball. Canoe, kayak, or tube use must be set up ahead of time with host. - We are close to crystal mining, horseback riding, biking, hiking, ATV trails. Shuttle service available with prior arrangements. - Free of commercial development, the Ouachita is a gentle river with occasional Class I-II rapids separated by flat-water pools. Fishing is excellent, with an abundance of bass (mostly smallmouth, largemouth and spotted), bluegill, catfish, green and longear sunfish, walleye and any number of other species. - Mother Nature blessed the Ouachita Mountains with the most beautiful quartz crystal in the world. Mount Ida is known as the "Quartz Crystal Capital of the World". We welcome all rock hounds, both amateur and professional. - Womble Trail, Ouachita Trail, and Lake Ouachita Vista Trail are nearby EPIC mountain biking and hiking trails. There are other secluded, forest trails such as Fourche Mountain Trail, available for exploring on your ATVs. Just a few feet away from your cabin are short trails into the National Forest.   - We are located near one of the darkest sky places in Arkansas and you can easily see the Milky Way. You will see fireflies in season and you might catch sight of an occasional Bald Eagle, Blue Heron or Road Runner.
