    Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
    This land is a six acre slice of property that includes a meadow, wooded areas, a small pine forest, native stones galore, a steep mountain side, giant boulders, a wet weather stream and pond, and 2 old tin barns. From West to East, the property starts flat but then begins to slope upward as it runs from the base of Fitzgerald Mountain Eastward nearly to the top of the mountain. The former homestead was removed within the past 20 years, creating a fantastic spot for the campground. It is located a short distance from Fitzgerald Station, which was a well known stop on Military road (later known as Butterfield stage line) in the 1830’s. The camp is only 2 miles from historic downtown Springdale, which is an area undergoing exciting revitalization. A concrete trail is planned that will connect the camp area to downtown making biking to restaurants and pubs much easier in the near future. The Razorback Greenway runs through downtown, and provides a biking connection to all of Northwest Arknsas. Learn more about this land: Fitzgerald Mountain Van and RV Camp offers 2 RV spots (26' max) with ride in / ride out access to Fitzgerald Mountain's world class trails.  The mountain is home to OZ trails mountain biking and hiking for all levels. (look up OZ trails  - Fitzgerald Mountain) The 2 van camper/RV spots sit at the base of a shade tree and the entry to the “Goat Trail.”  This trail (named for the adjacent goat farm) will lead campers to the campfire area, "Fitzmo Barn", and Butterfield trail.  Fitzmo barn has a map where you can leave your mark by putting a pin in your hometown and signing the wall.  Leave your brand's sticker on the wall so other bikers and hikers can find their way to your hometown spots. The barn has chairs for the fire pit area, and can also provide some shelter if it rains. Butterfield trail crosses the camp area adjacent to Fitzmo Barn.   Head North on Butterfield to connect with blue and black trails including the “best trail ever” and fantastic views from the mountain top.  Head South to connect with trails for all skill levels including a strider course for the kids at Bayyari Park.  Bayyari Park is only 1/3 mile away and has public restrooms that I'm told "remain open until 10:00 PM year round unless there is extreme cold." The only neighbors of the camp have a small farm to the North, and their goats and peacock occasionally visit the camp’s Western field.  Other than these neighbors, the area feels secluded, especially at the fire pit and barn area.  Fitzgerald is a historical area.  Fitzgerald station is nearby, and served as a stop on the Butterfield overland stagecoach mail route that was used in the 1800s. Downtown Springdale is 2 miles away, and the pubs and restaurants cater to bikers.  A paved trail is planned for the near future that will provide bike access to downtown. *Note* Backing up to a turn around area will be required for exit from the RV spots.

    This place rocks! The directions were pretty straight forward and the property is awesome. I loved putting my pin in the map and signing the door in the barn. The trails off the back of the property are pretty good and worth walking if you spend the day here. I highly recommend and will definitely be making a return trip.

    This is a simple, absolutely no frills spot at the end of a dead end street. No facilities/amenities. It was quiet and peaceful, had an old barn with solar lights and just off a mountain bike/hiking trail. Go in expecting that and you have no worries. The neighboring goats were entertaining. I’d stop over again when in Springdale but next time I need to bring a bike!

    It is a nice, quiet, pleasant place to primitive camp. I DoorDash most weekends in Fayetteville. It is very convenient and easily accessible.

    Great spot, and exactly perfect for what we needed. The area was clean and well-kept and I can absolutely see coming back with friends and occupying both available sites to create sort of a shared area between for cooking and hanging out. The animals at the neighboring property were great entertainment as well!

    Nice location on the edge of the forest and Bayyari Park, the convenience to the trails can’t be beat. The camp property is on one of the bike trails (Butterfield Trail) where its a ten minute walk south to the trailhead and flush toilets. And from camp a 13 min walk up the trails brings you to the rock climbing at Coyote Cave where there are numerous fun bolted routes and bouldering. Camped here in a 23 foot Ekko RV had to level about 5 inches as the gravel pad has a slope. Would highly recommend this camp.

    Great place for a camping feel while still close to town. Enjoyed waking up to the goats and deer around the area and in minutes dropped into the mountain bike trails.

    Enjoyed our stay at this camp spot. We have a small 12’ camper trailer and e-bikes. This was a good spot for us and we were able to ride to the Razorback Greenway which was just a couple miles away and rode to Bella Vista one day and Fayetteville the next. There are 2 camping spots available and they are very close together so would be good if you wanted friends to join. No one else was in the adjoining spot so it was very private and quiet. We had goats and a peacock visit (but they kept their distance), and when we pulled in after dark saw 2 baby deer resting in the meadow next to us. Trailhead for hiking is right behind camp which we didn’t get to explore this time around but will definitely be back to explore more in the future. There are also restaurants, a comedy club, and convenience stores pretty close by but feels like your far away from civilization at the camp site. Thank you for letting us camp out at your peaceful spot!

    Quiet, nice little area with fun outdoor trails/nearby history/fun things to do close by. Loved it! Nice fire pit and it was super easy to cleanup and put out.

    Fitzgerald Mountain RV Camp
    This property is gorgeous we loved setting up camp here! It was quiet and wonderful! We had a great time! If you want more of a secluded spot with amenities close by this is your place! The Billy goats were awesome to see and the big pup is a joy to watch! My only suggestion for RV campers is to bring extra blocks to leveling out your RV. Other than that the boys and I had a blast! Thanks Zach!

    This RV camp is great for a couple of nights to explore Fitzgerald mountain and Springdale. There are chairs included for the fire pit area and the barn has a map where you can pin your hometown. Butterfield trail onsite can get you where you want to go on the mountain, leading you to trails for all levels and the public restroom at Bayyari park. At night you can see the glow of the city, but it still feels like camping since you are on the side of the mountain. I spent a lot of time on the property making sure it would make a nice camp area. Come try it out!
