Site 2 - Happy Hippy Acres
10/10!!!
Jerry & Jill’s campsite was perfect! We only had time to do one night but are already thinking about when we could come back again. They provided a jug of water and firewood which was so kind. They also provided a sheet with directions to nearby swim spots. There was a group at site #1 and we couldn’t hear any talking or music, just the occasional door shutting. The gravel hill to the sites is steep and loose, but my RAV4 made it up okay.

Great hosts answered any and all questions. Very secluded campsite but had plenty of room outside, surrounded by trees multiple places to hang your hammocks. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Loved it!
Loved it! Felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves! Very clear directions and good roads leading to the site. Everything was set up ready to go just had to pop up the tent, light the fire and enjoy nature at its finest! Even had the pleasure of a beautiful deer crossing over our site first thing this morning. Highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks

Friendly, quiet spots
The Hubs and I booked here for Memorial Day weekend. We love camping near Beaver Lake but away from crowds of people. As soon as we arrived Jerry gave us written directions to a few secluded swimming beaches. They were very private and easy to get to. The campsites are well maintained with plenty of space to spread out. Water and fire wood is provided and there is plenty of downed wood to scavenge as well. The sites are very quite, with an occasional crunching of a vehicle on the gravel road. I don't know if this is considered a Dark Sky area but it should be. We could see every star.
Tips:
- ALL wheel drive!! Most of the drive is easy enough, but the final hill to the site may be an impasse. My FWD Honda Element could not make it on our first attempt so we had to reverse up the hill. There is a parking spot at the bottom of the hill if your car can't make it.
- The closest convenience store is about a 25 minute drive so make sure you have everything you need before the sun goes down. Our papers got wet so we had to go old-school soda can method the first night.
- Bug repellent!! It's Arkansas. Always bring tick defense and burning sage to deter the biting flies.
Jerry & Jill are friendly, wonderful hosts. Tornadoes hit Rogers on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Jerry and his family checked in on us Sunday morning before driving around on ATVs with chainsaws clearing the roads of downed trees. He also helped us out with the papers situation.
