Country Camping Near Ichetucknee
3 units · Glamping, Motorhomes, Tents10 acres · Lake City, FLWelcome to our private ten acres just a few miles away from Ichetucknee Springs, Suwannee River and the Santa Fe River.
Our property is located halfway down a dead-end road and ends at a friendly neighbor's small blue-berry farm where you can pick fresh blueberries when in season. Our other neighbors have Brahman cows, adorable miniature donkeys, pigs, chickens, roosters, Guinea fowl and even peacocks. You are likely to hear the crow of roosters, the bray or hee-haw of donkeys, the mooing or bellowing of cows, the squealing of pigs , the unusual calls of Guinea Fowl, peacocks, and multiple other common-country noises.
We are pet friendly. Pets can be leash free as long as they stay close to camp site and are friendly. We also kindly ask if any circumstances arise that warrant your pet(s) be put on a leash, that you please do so. Our property is fenced in with an older country-style fence.
We have two medium-sized dogs that stay in our fenced-in area surrounding our home. Jom is a Jack-Whippet (Jack Russel/Whippet mix) and Dolly is a Border Collie. Both are rescue dogs.
We also have a semi-feral little black rescue kitty that roams the property, but usually stays close to the house. Her name is KC or Kitty-Cat. If she does venture outside of the fence by the house, please do not attempt to pet or pick her up as she can be quite unpredictable - like most cats.
We also are hobbyist beekeepers (a/k/a apiarists) and have sweet local honey for sale * when supplies are available. Our "Bee" yard is to the west side of our property, near our home, and is semi-fenced off. Ours bees are not aggressive, but in an abundance of caution, we ask that you please do not enter the bee yard and be mindful to keep pets and children from inadvertently entering that area.
