Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming. It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products. Camp Tally is tucked away in the Holly Hills neighborhood and features a 2023 Little Guy Max Teardrop Trailer. (AKA NYC apartment) Fully equipped with a double size bed, microwave, propane cooktop, AC, Hot shower, toilet, dedicated workspace, FAST WIFI, TV, Fire ring, comfortable chairs, firewood, and most importantly Privacy all while being 2.1 miles from FSU & FAMU. The mattress was upgraded to a Sealy pillowtop. Our neighborhood is super safe and quiet, great for morning and evening walks or runs. We are a 7-minute drive to Whole Foods, 5 minutes to Publix, and a wonderful ice cream shop is across the street with a drive-through and non-dairy options if you can't do lactose. This is a great stay for those traveling on a budget. ***Trigger warning*** This is a "Tiny house" stay. Our plus sized guests might not find it very comfortable. We look forward to hosting you! The Goat House Farm provided the perfect yet affordable getaway for my partner and I. The farm consisted of friendly goats, adorable chickens, and a dog named Tobi that made us feel right at home. The location of the farm was great, as we were able to go to various springs and state parks during our 2-night stay. The cabin included all the necessities and was comfortable. The host, Melissa, was very sweet and welcoming. It was a short hike to the lake that provided even more beautiful scenery. We quickly made friends with the orange cat that hung out outside the cabin, played fetch with Tobi, kicked our legs up outside, and made the most of our ideal summer evenings on the farm.

Weekend Trip to Camp_Tally

Amazing location, just a few minutes from FSU campus. I was visiting my son at FSU and needed a place close by to stay and this worked out perfectly. The camper was vey nice with a bunch of extras like a Keurig, Roku, and a Sega Genesis! The site is private and I was able to make a camp fire with the kindling and fire starters provided. Will definitely stay here again.

This was a nice solo travel experience for me. The Rustic Cottage is very cozy, clean and stocked with almost everything you'd need (i.e. cookware, spices, body wash). Goat yoga was fun and the property is serene. Horseflies were in abundance during the day but that didn't dull the experience.

It’s truly a rural experience. The host was very responsive to all questions, before and during my visit. She even offered to let me come out when the goat kids were being bottle fed. The Coop was clean, decorated just like a chicken coop, and had cold A/C. I added in the morning biscuits option which was a tasty treat as I got on the road.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy camper while visiting our daughter at FSU. The camper exceeded our expectations. It was a unique alternative to a hotel stay. It was private, comfortable and fun! The queen bed felt a little more like a double, but the dining table converts to a bed easily. The toilet and shower were easy to use. The shower area was clean and surprisingly provided an area to relax and freshen up. We didn't start a fire but sat in the cozy pit to have our coffee in the morning. Lots of beautiful birds stopped by to check us out. Firewood, kindling and fire starters were provided. We used the A/C so the hum of the fan blocked out sounds at night (so I’m not sure of the noise level at night). We will definitely stay here again!

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this unique and charming spot!

This was really fun place to stay. I was in the “Little Coop” which was clean, cozy and convenient to the bathhouse. Basically, it is like camping without having to set up your tent! I enjoyed the goat and other animals on the farm. Melissa was a warm and welcoming host.

I was in town with my adult daughter for a football game. We stayed in the cottage. What a unique and fun place! A perfect rustic getaway if you love animals. The bed was super comfortable and the cottage had every convenience needed. I call it glamping but even better. We paid for biscuits and soap that we did not receive, but in all fairness we were not around much and I did not ask before we had to leave.. I considered it to be a donation to the farm. Roosters start crowing very early in the morning. And goats have a distinct smell. Not bad, just like goat haha. We had read that in other reviews and knew what to expect and did not mind at all (knowing we were staying on a working farm).. This place is not everyone’s cup of tea, but we loved staying here.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! With a daughter In her third year at FSU I had had enough of college town. And staying At the goat Farm was perfect. Just a Short drive into town, then back to the peace and quiet of nature. I had a nice hike with Toby the farm dog. And we both got a beautiful sunset on the lake. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. And Melissa makes the best cookies ever.!

Most excellent! Highly recommend! Charming, clean, comfortable and close to everything! We were surprised by a welcome package with stuff to make s’mores on the Fire Pitt just outside the camper. The camper was clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you are over 6ft tall or heavy the bed may be a little tight for you. I’m 5’9 and my girlfriend is shorter so it fit us perfectly While it is in the middle of a neighborhood it does not feel like it. We will be back for sure.
