Wild Coast has 2 nightly campsites for you to enjoy. Site one is a large, flat open gravel base. And Site 2 is a large, flat grass based site. Please note you must have your own trailer or tent.
Weâre a 5-10 minute drive to Rathtrevor beach/Parksville, Englishman River. We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it!
The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks!
Centrally located on Vancouver Island, itâs a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive.
Pets are welcome, but please be responsible for them. There is a large open grass field for you to let them run and burn off that energy.

We are an RV-only campsite. The site is level and can accommodate vehicles up to 40ft in length. Electrical, sewage, and potable water hookups included.

Recently we decided to share our property that we love and have enjoyed so much for two reasons: to give others the opportunity to enjoy it and to put money away for university. Our parents, Mark and Sarah, got behind the vision and are excited to be part of this project with us.
We would describe our property as: homeâŚand a really fun place to grow up! Our parents thought that wasnât descriptive enough for Hipcamp so theyâve helped us describe it more.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood in a forest that has been a source of peace, relaxation, and fun for us in our growing up years. Weâve noticed that people who visit here say they feel the same way.
With plenty of space for kids to explore and adults to relax, our 3 acre forest is perfect for down time with a book in the hammock or a nature walk before dinner.

A single, tidy campsite with picnic table surrounded by mature and gently manicured forest, as well as a hammock, and a new construction outhouse. (Go dad!)
We love hospitality, so though we wonât always be around when youâre here, if we are and you need something you can simply ask and weâll do our best to provide what you need.
To help you feel welcome we provide a fresh, cool jug of drinking water and large container of fresh potable water as well as access to an outside tap to fill water containers if needed (upon request) , power to charge devices (upon request), and a campfire ring with firewood (sorry about the frequent fire bans. Huge bummer. We will post current fire ban status while youâre here.)

Alternatively, a 15min drive brings you to the hiking or biking on Mount Prevost. But also, the property is beautiful enough to just stay put if you want to relax and enjoy the westcoast weather and environment without any stress....there is even a local-secret beautiful hike with a spectacular lookout only a couple of kilometres away.
I have a food truck and extensive veggie gardens and you may choose to purchase hot meals, frozen entrees to take with you, or various supplies/groceries on site. Just ask if you need anything, we probably have it!!
We are big believers in non-consumerism, repurposing, growing food & living peaceably with community. We hope to inspire you to do the same!

It was a beautiful spot for camping. We spent two days there at the RV site. It was quiet and clean. Jim was really pleasant to talk to and gave us some great tips on where to go to for local attractions. Would definitely come back here.

Location: just off BC Hwy 4 near 4-4A intersection and Old Country Market (Goats on the Roof). Nothing fancy, just level, gravel pads with full hookups. (Water spigot is heated.) Could use as a staging point for day trips. No other campers on night we were there. Quiet; no shade, no privacy. To clarify, sites listed as 30 amp or 50 amp are those amperageâs only, no other sockets. Yes, I would stay here again as a backup to a park campground or when I need to empty tanks.

Easy to find and spacious sites. Really appreciated the access to laundry - wasnât expecting that! I only stayed a night but it was a good place between pacific rim and Nanaimo. Itâs close to a great coffee place just a couple minute drive away. There was a little dog that was loose on the property for a moment, it seemed nice/shy. I was getting ready to leave and didnât have my dogs with me at that moment so not sure how it would have responded to them. Didnât do much exploring because it was a stopover for me but it seems close to hikes, water etc. Thereâs also a Thai restaurant nearby but I didnât try it. It was a great place to stay the night and do laundry!

Spacious sites & like that they are terraced. Rare not to have a huge lists of rules; we appreciated that. The proximity to Rathtrevor Provincial Park, Englishman River Falls & the Old Country Mart in Coombs was nice. Sites could use some privacy between them and some visual separation from hostâs property would be great as thereâs a bit of an industrial vibe there. Overall, a good stay.

The site is in the front of the property and is a great stop for the night. We arrived late and Paul came out to help me set up and plug in. The next day him and his wife showed my son their chickens and bunny and he loved it! Super nice people. Iâd definitely camp here again.

Walter made really nice RV-sites with everything complete. We could even do laundry, for free. We didnât expected that. But came in really handy.
Kristy helped us out big time with showing how it all worked (first time in Canada/America). That was super awesome.
They both had great knowledge about the area and what to do. Good recommendations, for lakes/ hikes and more. They were super friendly, helpful and willing to make it our best stay.
And they did!
Can recommend staying here, 5 stars!

This is a hidden gem. We set up our base camp here and spent 2 weeks exploring Vancouver Island. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Walter (Jim) and Kristi were outstanding hosts. Very accommodating and very responsive. There are currently only 4 sites - all have full hookups. We made friends with everyone immediately and enjoyed our time back at the campsite as much as exploring the island. In the evenings we gathered and did craft projects with anyone who wanted to join us. Lots of things to do around the area and easy accessibility to routes around the island. Definitely recommend and will definitely return.

The views were incredible. You could see all the way down to Mount Baker in Washington State from jims convivial deck. The sites were large and were positioned such that you could easily have privacy but also friendly interactions with other campers if you were so inclined
