A truly stunning secluded hobby farm with extensive gardens, a small pond, an old trampoline, several pets, lovely residents and a delightful night ambiance. Its only a 10minute drive to the gorgeous Cowichan River provincial park and the many beautiful spots it offers for hiking, swimming and tubing. Alternatively, a 15min drive brings you to the hiking or biking on Mount Prevost. But also, the property is beautiful enough to just stay put if you want to relax and enjoy the westcoast weather and environment without any stress....there is even a local-secret beautiful hike with a spectacular lookout only a couple of kilometres away. I have a food truck and extensive veggie gardens and you may choose to purchase hot meals, frozen entrees to take with you, or various supplies/groceries on site. Just ask if you need anything, we probably have it!! We are big believers in non-consumerism, repurposing, growing food & living peaceably with community. We hope to inspire you to do the same! Welcome to our little slice of paradise!!Suitable for up to 2 large tents, a large beautiful flat grassy spot next to the forest, far from the house and overlooking a beautiful flower garden oasis with a cold dip pond or bathtub, and a short drive to our amazing Cowichan River Provincial Park. Delightful night-lighting complements the evening songs of birds, crickets and frogs. (and not much mosquitoes really) Beautiful thermal breezes really pick up on the sunniest of days in the mid-afternoon and fill the property with glorious fresh cool air carrying a hint of ocean and fragrance from flowering and evergreen trees. (DO PIN YOUR TENT DOWN OR LEAVE IT FULL) Park at the bottom of the drive parallel to the rocks, the bathroom and shower are right there, and the tent site is 30 meters or so to the left in the photo--its a beautiful grassy site with chairs and tables, as well as a couple of extra large shelters nearby to set up your cooking or relaxing, especially convenient if the weather is dodgy. (you may even set your tent up under one of the shelters to keep dry...) there is electrical connection at the bar for charging your phones, a small fridge and cold water sink. The wifi password is available there too. You may pitch more than one tent if necessary. The beautiful Cowichan river provincial park is 10 minutes drive from here for swimming, and we can rent you proper river-tubes if you wish to partake in the favorite local activity of tubing sections the river.
