Experience the famous Shuswap River "float" which is only a 5 minute walk to the Baxter bridge boat launch, park and community hall. The Ashton Creek convenience store and gas station has all your basic camping needs including ATV gas and propane (also a 5 minute walk). Access to hiking trails including a unique water fall nearby. Mabel Lake Resort, boat launch and Golf Club is a short 20 minute drive. Camping at Olich Creek Farm is unique and family friendly. Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay. Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available. Weekend Trip to Herman Lake Wilderness Campground

We loved camping on Caitlin’s land! She was so so sweet and informative, and there was lots to do and see(if only we had more than just an overnight!). Our site was right next to a sauna, and overlooked a cute little marshy lake. We walked around and checked out the neighbouring sites available, and they all looked really cute. Pets are allowed, we had our 2 huskies with us! There’s a coin shower, a dock, sheep, turtles, a playground, fire pits, an outhouse with a cushy seat. The sound of frogs croaking throughout the night:) highly recommend staying here, and we will keep them in mind for next time we visit out that way. Thanks so much for the lovely evening Caitlin!

Weekend Trip to Olich Creek Farm

Very peaceful and private and fun to have so many animals around. Heather, her mom Sanda and farm hand Matt were very welcoming and friendly. Always had time to chat. We loved our stay there. HOWEVER, DO NOT USE THE GET DIRECTIONS LINK ON HIP CAMP. That takes you to the wrong address. Put in her address and all is good! We also walked to the waterfall ( about 3.0 miles round trip and sat by the river and had lunch one day ( about 1 miles RT.

I had the best time at Olich Creek Farm. Heather was so welcoming and took us on a tour of the farm and introduced us to all of the animals, our favourite were the miniture pony's. The barn site was lovely and sitting in our camp chairs in the evening surrounded by friendly sheep and goats was perfect.

This is a large site with room for 2 or 3 large RV’s and awesome views over Salmon Arm waters. Site was fairly level although entrance was a little tight once down the access track it was pretty easy to get in. Only had one night there but would recommend.

Frogs were having a full moon singing rave!. Was awesome. Some owls joined in too. Not been many places where you can immerse yourself in that sonically. Vast array of birds up at this marshland lake at elevation and away from traffic. Lovely camp spaces. Nice outhouses.

We had a fabulous stay at the cabin. We loved how everything was milled and built by the owners. It was clean, quiet and so peaceful. We definitely plan to return. The hot pool was HUGE and had a great view of the stars at night. We came prepared with coolers full of ice, cooking utensils and made use of the provided bbq. There was a large fire pit and wood provided, although we ran out of time to have a fire. We enjoyed the wood stove heating and rustic nostalgic feeling. The outdoor shower and outdoor washroom were clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and our son loved his space in the upper loft. We appreciate it is pet friendly, although this trip we left our dogs with a sitter :) This is a little piece of heaven!
