**The road to my property is open, Google is wrong** Nestled in a quaint old Fishing Town is a 4-Acre Forest property that hasn’t been touched since 1885! This land overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean, with a 25ft bank at the edge of the property, and almost 200ft of stone beach! No potable water on this property (well water is available by hose for cooking/cleaning/showering), but 10 minutes by car, you’ll find a Sobeys, a pub, a Home Hardware, and small local shops that carry camping supplies and so much more! There is a composting toilet being built, please either bury the bag when you are done, or double bag it and leave it in the garbage box at the end of the driveway. As a septic system is now on the property, I am unable to provide access to the waterfront campsite for camp-cars/RVs/trailers. 30 min drive away is the infamous Martinique Beach, a very popular surfing spot! Lots of hiking and site seeing available nearby as well. A long driveway is the entry point to the camping site. All I ask is that each camper leave the property better than they found it. As you depart, another camper is most likely arriving, so please keep that in mind. Enjoy the peace under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking against the shore, and the leaves rustling in the breeze! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is currently a Tiny Home on the property being built, and it is currently occupied by the property owner full-time. Garbage pick-up in this area only allows one black plastic bag to be removed every 2 weeks. If your garbage is in a clear bag the city will take it and you can put your sealed garbage in a clear bag in the wood box at the end of the driveway. The city ONLY takes clear bags. Recycling is allowed in blue bags. Due to this restriction, I am not able to handle all the campers garbage -- please take any that you create with you if you do not have clear bags. Nestled in the trees on a large deck with the sounds of birds and squirrels all around, this unique structure spans 15 ft across with 14 triangular sides. It holds a double bed, dinning table, rocking chair, 3 burner stove, sink with water, full kitchenette and all the cooking utensils you need. The wood stove keeps the space very warm and cozy and we offer professional massage and reiki. You can walk, ski or bike for hours along a river. Or visit towering gypsum cliffs that host huge bat caves.. Our yurt is tucked away in the trees of our 20 acre wood lot. We provide lots of wood and fire starter for the wood stove but guests should have experience with wood stoves (or be really keen to learn). The stove is big enough to easily heat the whole yurt to cozy comfort but guests should expect to have to keep the stove going in order to keep the space warm and this may mean stoking it once in the night. We provide lots of extra blankets and two pairs of extra slippers for those who forget to bring their own. The solar panel creates enough power to run the lights, charge a cell phone and sometimes a computer but not much more. The space is beautiful, unique and quite dreamy but it is rustic. There is a composting toilet next to the yurt (with hand sanitizer but no sink) and outdoor showers (with hot water) near our farm house. There is a three burner propane cook stove, cooking and dining wares and a small sink for dishes. There are all the utensils that you may need to cook for yourself but there is limited counter space so cooking elaborate meals is possible but could be cumbersome. There is a cooler and we can stock it with ice packs upon request. We supply coffee and a french press,. We also offer massage and reiki to guests for $90 (60 min). Morghain Lee is a massage therapist and Reiki Master and enjoys blending these two body therapies for a holistic healing experience. There is an outdoor fire pit and star gazing chairs. We ask that you only use natural soaps in the shower, the sink, pond or river. We have some Dr Bronners if you like:) Cell reception on the land depends on the provider but most people have weak service (one or two bars). Enough to maintain a phone connection (if you are not walking around too much) but not enough to download videos. Some people have more or less. We do allow pets but we ask for an extra $15 contribution to compensate for the extra cleaning. We also ask that dogs not be on the bed and that they don't chase our chickens or kittens. There are outdoor showers available in spring, summer and fall when the pipes won't freeze. For those wanting to stay for longer periods in the winter we can discuss usage of the shower in our house.

"Big Blue" sits atop a lawn covered hill on the shore of the Cobequid Bay. A grove of fir and pine trees offer a sense of woodland solitude and fairies. The energy is magical. You can enjoy a front row seat or amble down over the lawn to sit on the end of the public wharf to watch the tidal bore squeeze into the mouth of the Shubenacadie River. It won't be long and you can marvel at the force of the water as it turns and begins to pour back toward the Bay of Fundy. Walk across the dyke to reach the oldest continually operating general store in North America - Frieze and Roy. Beyond the Wharf, a locally stocked craft shop borders us on the easterly side of the lawn. Next to it you will find Dawson Dowel Picnic Park, a playground and basketball court. On the westerly side of the driveway you there is a marsh area. The remnants of the shipyard where the WD Lawrence was built in the 1800's can be seen poking through the sand on the beach directly in front of the marsh. At low tide you can walk for miles in a westerly direction. Always be Tide Aware! Across the road from the marsh is the residence of WD Lawrence himself. It is a provincial museum. Directly across from Big Blue is a Ducks Unlimited pond. The sound of the geese and ducks can be heard 24 hours a day! There is a path that circumvents most of the pond. Adjacent to the Lawrence House parking lot there is an observatory where you can linger and watch the shenanigans of the occasional muskrat or possibly a beaver. The washrooms are accessed through a side door on the verandah of the main house. There are three showers and three toilets. If happen to be missing your "workout" there is a treadmill and exercise bike available to use. Outdoor fire regulations are strictly adhered to. There is a BBQ available for a small fee. AND it all looks out on one of the loveliest and most peaceful harbors I’ve experienced. Oh, and I forgot to mention a launch if you’re there to kayak! Jeffrey and his family are fabulous hosts. Friendly, but honor your privacy as well. Jeffrey is a great resource on the area, the islands, and local history. This was our 1st HipCamp experience, what a great start! We did not want to leave!

Beautiful spot to explore 100 Wild Islands. Jeffery has thought of everything for a glamping get-away, with a beautiful hilltop view of the islands. The amenities are well thought-out and the access to boat launch is very convenient. It was lovely being able to have a campfire while overlooking the sunset over the water. p.s. Note that there are two camping sites fairly close together and in full view/sound of each other.

Gloria has such a unique place, right on a bluff overlooking the confluence of Shubenecadie River and the Bay of Fundy. Our teardrop camper set up perfectly on a flat spot behind her house, and we enjoyed a day of watching the tide come and go. It's also a good launching place to view the tides at narrow spots nearby, or to explore other aspects of this beautiful area. We also enjoyed walking the dyke from Gloria's house to Frieze and Roy, the oldest general store in Canada, where we had a delightful meal at the Mud Slide Cafe.

Was very impressed with the campsite we stayed at! There was hot water for showers, a dishwashing station, a toilet and options for both wood fires or propane fires. It was secluded and quiet with plenty of room for tent camping. Would highly recommend.

Jeff and Tracy have done an outstanding job of making and taking care of a campsite with extras that really help, like a shower, an RV style bathroom and a sink for washing dishes. They were welcoming and kind and kept us informed of things of local interest. Jeff is brilliant and imaginative in the way he creates the camp space itself. The stars were brilliant too, and the harbor views were breathtaking. We would return in a heartbeat. We felt right at home.

Sam is extremely attentive to the campers needs, the parking area was flat no need for alot of leveling, after being off grid for a couple days it was nice to plug in and refill our fresh water tank, theres a nice set up for camp fire or relaxing in a hammock or use of the bbq in a wooded area. Hes currently building a cement pad for some extracurricular activities which will nice to get some exercise after traveling, It was the best of both worlds, 5 minutes from a Walmart and Chinese food but in a wooded area for privacy, also a great place to park if you have appointments or mabe a concert in the city and cant take your rig, my husband and I both enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again

We had wonderful 4 night stay. “Littlewoods” is a beautiful set up in the woods. Everything you need is right there, fire pit, hot plate for cooking, a mini fridge, even a sink for washing up (cold water) and shower with hot water. The site is well kept and neatly set up. We’d definitely recommend it and would like to return in the future.

All I can say is wow. I am a 28 year old transgender man and I have never gone to a place that I felt more free. People allowed me to just exist, without questions, without scrutiny. The staff were incredible, the bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and I was truly welcomed. I came to solo camp for the first time, and site #37 exceeded expectations. When I showed up early, I was allowed onto my site which was spectacular. There’s a certain fear when camping solo as a queer person, but this campground made it easy. Thanks again.
