Welcome to Sustainable Hill Wellness Resort, an 11-acre yoga retreat and campground nestled in the peaceful valley of Scotch Village, Nova Scotia. Perched alongside the Herbert River and surrounded by forest and meadow, our eco-minded haven invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect&mdash- with nature, community, and yourself. Whether you’re pitching a tent beneath the stars or staying in our tiny home, you’ll wake to birdsong, rustling trees, and the peaceful presence of farm life all around you. Our small-scale regenerative farm is home to sheep, chickens, quail, and our friendly border collie. Guests are welcome to book a guided farm tour to meet the animals and learn about our sustainable practices. Wander wooded trails, enjoy riverside relaxation, or discover the forest playground. Drop your kayak in the river and paddle back to camp! We have a swimming hole perfect for paddling and floating too. Our open-air yoga deck hosts occasional classes and retreats that celebrate movement, mindfulness, and nature. You may find yourself here during a pop-up artisan market, a seasonal music night, or one of our community-focused wellness events. We host a wide variety of offerings throughout the year&mdash- from forest school programs and postpartum circles to folk music gatherings and farm-to-table dinners. While events vary by season, the atmosphere is always warm, welcoming, and rooted in intention. Sustainable Hill uses composting toilets and natural building techniques to support a low-impact, mindful way of living. We invite you to unplug and tune into the rhythm of the land. Outside, you'll find private parking for up to two vehicles and a charming gravel patio area surrounded by nature. Enjoy morning coffee or evening chats around the fire table, with seating for four including two classic Muskoka chairs and a picnic table for al fresco dining. While the tiny home and patio are private, you may see other guests enjoying the shared land or strolling down to the nearby river. Step inside to a clean, bright space with modern finishes and thoughtful touches throughout. The main floor features a king-sized bed with a sliding bedroom door for privacy, crisp white linens, and plush pillows to ensure a restful sleep. The living area includes a small sofa, a drop-leaf dining table, and four chairs—perfect for meals, board games, or simply unwinding. A ladder leads to a cozy loft with two twin beds, ideal for kids or extra guests. The kitchen comes equipped with a full-sized fridge, two-burner cooktop, toaster, coffee maker, and basic cooking supplies. (Please note: there is no oven.) The bathroom includes a full-size shower and a composting toilet—designed for eco-conscious living. That means everyone sits to pee, and solids go in the bin. We promise it’s easier than it sounds—and surprisingly odour-free! Stay comfortable year-round with a mini split heat pump that provides air conditioning in the summer and heat on cooler nights. Riverside Tiny Home

Nice spot. A relatively quiet and secluded location. The bed was very comfortable in the tiny home. A little river is near to sit by or to swim in and it's not deep. We enjoyed hearing and seeing the local farm animals and sitting by the propane fire pit. I will likey come back again.
