Showed up and left, pictures failed to show correct image. This was a driveway next to owners house in a city neighborhood. No privacy. Owner was nice and refunded my money. I deleted Hipcamp

Super spot ! 10 min to Lawrencetown beach, and 8 minutes to many stores, groceries and restaurants. It’s a single place, so you are the only one at the spot.
Owner is really kind and friendly. I will go again for sure !

Sam was super accommodating and a really friendly host. The site was level, terrific picnic table area and great hookups for the RV. It was quiet and secure. Highly recommended!

Sam welcomed me and described the site's amenities - water, electricity, trash and recycling, grill, firepit and firewood. Nice level place to set up adjacent to woodland at the end of the street. I'd stay again when in the Halifax area.

We have a 30ft trailer that we were able to park comfortably! Sam has a beautiful set up with hanging lights, a camp fire, BBQ, etc. The place was definitely a vibe and everyone was so friendly! Very convenient spot and close to everything. Would highly recommend :)!.

Awesome site. Sam was very helpful. A lot of pros: picnic table, hammock, lighting, BBQ, fire pit, disc golf. Just make sure you bring a portable toilet if you’re tenting.

Another amazing vacation at SurferShade this year! My husband, friends and I really appreciated to cozyness and the large size of the site! SurferShade has everything you wish for a good and relaxing camping trip! We really enjoyed cooking on the bbq, taking naps in the hamac and playing guitar around the fire pit (no fire because of the burn restriction in nova scotia, but still I really nice spot to chill). Our dogs was really in vacation too, they had so much place to play and they loved being in the forest! Sam is an amazing, friendly and available host! If you're looking for a private camping spot (not 5 feet from an other camper), that has everything you'll need for a great stay with your camper, SurferShade is the option! 🏄🏼♀️🌊🌅

Surfer's Shade RV Oasis
Sam offers a great camping experience to his guests. There is ample space to park with water and electric. There is access to his back property for grilling out, eating, lounging in a hammock or having a fire. He joined us for conversation and entertained us with his musical talent. Meeting his son was an extra bonus. Thanks Sam!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Surfers Shade Oasis. It was perfect for what we intended on. Felt very safe leaving our trailer and exploring Nova Scotia, using it as our home base. And to top it all off, the host Sam was amazing and his son Josh. If you ever stay at Surfers Shade you have to ask Sam to pull out his guitar. The man can play.

We enjoyed camping at surfers shade. The site has been created with so much love and offers all you need with an RV. This site is quiet and still just 20 min from Halifax away. From here u can explore lots of nice places within no time. It’s a must go if u want to start to explore NS. Even better is the hospitality of the host. I recommend that you experience it yourself. I guarantee you will not regret it

What an incredible trip we had at surfer shade! Private, cozy, large, useful, nice and the best spot to stay and chill during a trip to Nova Scotia! Surfer shade is perfect camper/rv and tents. It’s a large private cozy place. There’s electricity and water. About the host, what a nice guy! Sam is super friendly and chill. He gave us many surf and skate advices🏄♀️. It was super nice to chill around the fire and playing guitar, Sam has some serious guitar skills ask him to show you hehe!

Sam was an excellent host, very accommodating. He was super concerned about our comfort, and enjoyment. Thank you for that. Keep in mind the spot is in a residential area, but that is to be expected being so close to halifax. Super wonderful time. And could stories shared a put surfing.

Sam was a fantastic host, willing to go the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. He glady helped us set up, by providing power and water. There was a cool picnic area and bbq. The fire pit area was lit too, sharp spot.
We also had the opportunity to go visit halifax as we were super close to the city. Great spot, thanks Sam.
