Big Belle Farm is surrounded by large hayfields on the front of our property and at the back behind where the concert will take place.
Tenters will be camping in the front fields and RVs will behind the concert field.
When you come onsite there will be someone to meet you who will point out the locations were you can setup your tent or RV.
There will be event Portable Toilets on site and access to water near the concert grounds.

At the other side of the harbour is Ingonish Ferry. At one time the road around the harbour did not exist. People, horses and goods came across the bar by means of a ferry. There were many wharves with wooden ships tied up.
The long white building on the corner used to be on the bar.
A walk along the bar will award you with a view of the Keltic Lodge. Continue straight at the corner and you will find a trail that will take you to Ingonish beach.

It is a short 3 min walk to the Fisherman's wharf. About 5 min drive to the historical town of Yarmouth, NS and the Cat Ferry to Maine. John's cove beach is about a 15min drive on the way to the Yarmouth light on Cape Forchu. Yarmouth Golf club is about a 4 min drive away.

Located nearby is a ranger tower to view the area and the stars above.
Best to get all your supplies in Port Hawkesbury if u are just arriving on Cape Breton.
Strait Richmond Hospital. is 10 min. away if needed.
Please be mindful of our garden and young fruit trees.
Please pack out ALL of your garbage as we do not have local garbage pickup... garbage can be disposed of in local towns.
The town of Louisdale offers free potable water and dump station (located next to Babins Yamaha).
The site is located near Cleveland NS. But unfortunately a snow plow knocked down the street sign a few years ago an despite complaints to Richmond County no sign has been replaced :( We will send you a directional map after booking.
You will turn off Hwy 4 at Evanston Rd. then turn south at Johnathan R Bouman Rd. (look for the black boots hanging on the wires above to turn at) which will be approx 2-3 kms down Evanston Rd. and is the 1st road you will come to. The site is the last driveway on the right. A rope is strung across the driveway, please unhook and rehook when you depart.... Enjoy your stay :)

It was a great experience. We were there for Blueberry Jam and it was perfect. If you were a picky eater, they only had hamburgers, hot dogs and fries, but that is to be expected. A suggestion, breakfast food.

We loved Blair's spot right along the water! It was perfect for a two night stay before we drove the Cabot trail. He's included a picnic table nook and a separate fire ring area, and you have access to a private little dock and
rocky beach. It's also an easy walk to a public beach and trail. Great place, highly recommend, and we definitely plan to come back on our next trip to Cape Breton!

Sam is extremely attentive to the campers needs, the parking area was flat no need for alot of leveling, after being off grid for a couple days it was nice to plug in and refill our fresh water tank, theres a nice set up for camp fire or relaxing in a hammock or use of the bbq in a wooded area.
Hes currently building a cement pad for some extracurricular activities which will nice to get some exercise after traveling, It was the best of both worlds, 5 minutes from a Walmart and Chinese food but in a wooded area for privacy, also a great place to park if you have appointments or mabe a concert in the city and cant take your rig, my husband and I both enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again

We had a wonderful time staying with Sam and Sadie! The location was perfect for exploring Halifax and going surfing. They have a beautiful garden with a lovely fire pit, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We felt very welcome and would definitely come back again.

What a hidden gem. We enjoyed every second of our stay at Hilltop Ridge Campground. The place is very well maintained and the view over the ocean stunning. The host Steven was very welcoming.
