Come camp with us, under the BEAUTIFUL grove of Maples, Oaks and Pines here at our Farm. This is the first of two Hipcamp sites available on our property.

Our Canvas "Glamping Tent", is nestled in a mixed forest grove of trees in the middle of our small Maple Sugar bush on our 6 acre family hobby farm. If you like the "idea" of camping in a tent in the woods, but not the hassle of hauling equipment, bedding, etc, then we have the solution for you.

Our "Glampsite" is nicely secluded from farm life and neighbors and it is FULLY outfitted with camping necessities for sleeping 4 adults/children comfortably (1 QUEEN SIZE bed, 1 TWIN SIZE Daybed, and a MICRO TWIN size (24"w x 6' L) Chaise lounge. All linens, blankets and pillows are supplied. This is an "Off Grid" site ie: no electricity, we do provide a small power pack in the tent to charge your cell phones, and tablets, and we have excellent cell service on the site.

The tent also comes fully stocked with all cooking and eating necessities (pots, pans dishes, cutlery) a propane BBQ,  a 2- burner camp stove, 5 gallon jug of drinking water,  ice cooler and a screened dining tent with picnic table are on site. All you need to bring is ice, food, beverages and bug spray (lol).

The firepit has a load of firewood ready for your first night, plus 2 muskoka chairs, a small wooden bench, marshmallow roasting sticks, and a fireside hammock, ALL ready for your use.

We have board games, books, lanterns, lights and a small battery powered generator to charge your cell phone, or tablet located in the tent as well for your use and convenience.

We provide a very clean Outhouse with a "dry" compost toilet (ie: no water to flush it), and a handwashing station (with water) just outside. Also *NEW* this year, a hot water outdoor shower house.

It is the PERFECT spot for a "family friendly get away" to "The Farm" or a leisurely country "couples getaway" to experience a "hobby farm/small homestead" life.

Our property is located on the very edge of the Canadian Shield, so most of the landscape is slightly rocky, rugged, and naturally wooded. But because we are an active sugarbush where we produces maple syrup every spring,  it is NOT densely forested with thick undergrowth, and thus has open visibility throughout the Maple Sugarbush, including distant visibility of the other campsite(s) on our property - which are the "Pine Grove Campsite, AND also *NEW*  this spring,  a tiny rustic cabin bunkie named the "Stargazer" (which sits and overlooks our horse pasture, and with a grand opening date TBA soon).

Please note, we are NOT wilderness secluded, we are a RURAL/COUNTRYSIDE property with rural neighbors, whose homes are located in the distance along the edge of our property.

However,  our property has a "conservation area/park like" feel to it, with numerous short &  looping, walking trails that meander throughout the Sugarbush, pasture area,  around our "3 season pond" (ie; it dries up during June, July & August) and of course our farm animal "homes".

These trails are perfect for short nature walks, where you'll experience natural wildflowers, see and hear songbirds, small animal wildlife, and of course, farm life too.  Also *NEW* this season we will be adding natural art displays, activity areas for kids and benches throughout the property so you can meander, then sit, relax and take in the natural world around you.

We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution.

We are a small working "hobby farm", therefore we have a small, but varied collection of farm animals, and gardens. We have lots of chickens, (including roosters who crow in the early morning hours) 3 miniature goats, 2 horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog. During your stay with us, if you so desire, you are welcome to come learn about and interact with our animals and daily farm life. (farm fresh eggs, maple syrup and homemade bread are also available to purchase).

Campers should also be aware that because we live in a rural area, and NOT a wilderness area. It is NOT "wilderness quiet" here, but it IS countryside quiet.

We are in close proximity (hearing distance) to a local 2 lane highway that does produce minimal background traffic noise during the day, and morning hours, but is almost non-existent of noise at night (after 7pm).

We have also created *NEW* this year some natural privacy "screens" (aka "waddle fences" ) throughout the property to create more a "private/secluded feeling while on your site.

Finally, besides the frogs, crickets, cicadas, and other "sounds of nature" that share our property, we also have farm animals that make noise (roosters crowing any time day OR night) AND produce "smells",  (ie: manure).......but remember.... that is the "Charm of the Farm" :-)

There are also SO many local options available for recreational activities and visiting historic sites off the property.

We have 2 local lakes, with swimming, beaches and boating options, (7 min drive).

Biking and hiking areas, including the Cataraqui Trail, the K and P Trail, and the Rideau Trail. All of which are within a 10-minute drive of our home.

Frontenac Provincial Park is a 25-minute drive away, with more rugged interior day hiking trails.

Canoe & kayak rental options within 25 mins away.

Local restaurants, unique local shops, a brewery, Wilton Cheese Factory, gas, grocery and drug stores are all a  5 minute drive away.

A little farther away is:

~The Nationally Historic City of Kingston, aka "The Limestone City" which located at the head of the St Lawrence River & Seaway on the east end of Lake Ontario, is home to many historic sites and museums such as; Fort Henry, RMC, Queen's University, CFB Kingston, Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, and the "INFAMOUS" Kingston Penitentiary and Kingston Haunted Walk,  is only a 20-minute drive away.

~The FAMOUS Thousand Islands National Park - 51 mins away, and Gananoque, Ontario -Gateway to the 1000 Islands- is 35 minutes away.

~ Sandbanks Provincial Park with its famous fresh water beaches and sand dunes is 75mins away, and is located within Prince Edward County, which is also famously home to MANY unique & local wineries, breweries, orchards and artisan shops and boutiques.- 54 mins away.

You certainly will not be bored or lacking things to do and see both on and off the property.

Great experience with camping being made easy and very enjoyable!

Clean, beautiful, well organized, surrounded by nature and the animals, and a very friendly staff that welcomed us with a feeling of home (Lisa and Margaret were great to interact with!). The Maple bread is so good, fresh and soft, very much recommended! Also the goats were very fun to interact with, quite friendly after getting to know them a little haha!

The star gazing area is beautiful with very comfortable seats (unfortunately had some clouds set it though!).

Would like to go again definitely!
We will be spending 2 nights instead of 1 that time 'round! :)

Thanks for the accommodations, and the great experience! Recommended , 2 thumbs up 👍 👍

Absolutely loved our stay at Lisa's. Perfect for a quick couple's getaway midweek overnight, coming from Kingston nearby. Would definitely come back again, bring a couple friends, and make a whole group clamp out of it. The horses were sweet, the goats were awesome and fun to play with. Lisa and her family were welcoming but kept a professional distance and gave us tons of privacy. Looking forward to the next.

It's a great glamping site! I have not camped before so this was a good introduction to camping. We went with our 2.5 child and it was doable and fun for him. Almost everything is provided (bed, cooking items, even bug spray!) We loved the tent itself, it was so cozy. They have animals and fresh eggs! The hosts are lovely and such a kind family. Will be back when our son's a bit older :) thank you Lisa and thanks to your parents for making our stay comfortable.

Our family loved the glamping experience. Everything was all set and ready to go. Lisa’s hospitality and service is 10/10 and would highly recommend families and/or couples to check it out because it’s a nice getaway. We love seeing the animals! The kids loved the goats and horse. We were recommended to check out Syndeham Point Beach and we LOVED it. Definitely a place to revisit again <3
