A Perfect Getaway for Us & Our Dog.
Everything about Victor's Wilderness Trails at Sumac site was top drawer. The listing was completely accurate, communication was excellent, and Victor was available before and during our stay.
The biggest highlight was how he handled the weather. We experienced a tornado warning and severe thunderstorms, and Victor made sure we knew where to go for safety and checked in on us both times. That level of care meant a lot.
We brought our Lab, Debra, and this was a dream vacation for her. The site is very dog-friendly, with 17 km of marked trails. We didn't get to explore as much as we'd hoped because of the weather, but what we did see was enough to make us want to come back.
The campsite is private, spacious, and well laid out. The tent platform, fire pit, BBQ, prep station, covered earing tent and drinking water all made camping easy and comfortable. The drinkimg water is really good.
The dock was perfect for swimming, and having the Sumac Centre just a short walk away for clean washrooms, hot showers, and a place to cool off during the 33°C heat was a huge bonus.
The site was easy to find, incredibly quiet, and we slept like babies. This was our first camping trip in over 30 years, and it couldn't have been a better place to get back into camping. We'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, especially if you're bringing a dog. We're already talking about our next visit.
