Welcome to Oak Grove - a property with a 100 year old deconsecrated Episcopal church, beautiful woods, and amazing grandfather oaks. A common site for weddings, drum circles, and other metaphysical and spiritual happenings, the property has a labyrinth, a free expression chalkboard, a Zen sand box that are free to use.
A short walk down the wooded trail brings you to a small clearing with a central fire pit and several areas suitable for a tent. Situated close to a road, traffic can be heard but easily tuned out, particularly as the road gets much quieter at night. The woods are next to a large open field that is great for star gazing. Bring your hammock!

We renamed the farm in 2012 to Sapphire Farms when we purchased the last remaining 225 acres out of 600 acres with the main farmhouse. This farm has streams, springs, a pond, trees, and old tobacco barns great for exploring. We also raise endangered heritage livestock breeds. This is a working farm that had been in limbo for years. We want to return it to its glory and remain in operation for many more years to come. We do not use any chemicals on the fields that would pollute the water or soil. We replant trees to help clean the air and provide food for wildlife. Sapphire Farms is one of the few farms engaged in healthy farming practices for soil and water in our area. Practicing bio-diversity farming to insure health of food, livestock, and us. When you visit, notice how green the grass is, how green and healthy the trees are, more importantly look at the water that flows on the farm. The pond is healthy and thriving. I am not sure the work is ever completed, but we hope that visitors who stay on the farm will see the beauty as we do daily. Enjoy.

It’s nestled on the south-eastern slope of 4000-foot Mount Pleasant in Central Virginia, convenient to I81. (Note, there is a town called Arcadia off I81, but that is not us. Not to confuse.)We have a mountain creek with waterfalls, towering Beech and Sycamore trees, Witch Hazels leaning over the water, trout, crayfish, snakes, salamanders, and all the rest. We have about 2000 feet of the vertical mountainside with trails to explore. (But the stage and most of the camping is down closer to creek-level.) There are more sites higher up the mountain if you like more isolated camping. More of a trek to the bathrooms/showers/freshwater.We have one of the finest private stages on the East Coast with a top-notch sound system and a natural amphitheater which is like a single pie wedge of a Stadium that has regular live performances throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Our yurt is regularly booked as a unique glamping experience. There are chickens, ducks, turkeys, and guinea fowl free-roaming. One dog, eight cats, and several humans are blessed to call this home.
