My husband and I had such a wonderful few days at Mike & Sue’s amazing property. They, along with their lovely dogs were very welcoming, helpful and great company. The property is gorgeous with a few surprises to delight guests. The water is fresh and lovely to swim in. It’s a quiet refuge from the busyness of city life. Highly recommended you book your stay. We had a wonderful stay at HoneyBee Haven! Mike and Sue are fantastic hosts and the property is beautiful - much more so than the listing would suggest. The cabin with common kitchen, screen porch and living area was a real bonus, and the lake was spring fed, clear and refreshing which made for great swimming and floating. The setting is lovely and quiet providing a great respite from the go-go of city life. They have two very friendly dogs who made the stay even more fun with their love of the water. Overall, would couldn't recommend Mike, Sue and their beautiful property more highly and look forward to returning in the future.

WOW..out of 10 I give this a 12..yes a 12.It was just what I needed...everything was awesome, Mike, Sue, Honey Bee & Bo were awesome.Always there if I needed anything, taking me on an ATV ride, letting me fish and yes I did catch 2 trout.It was quiet, never slept so well,listening to the birds at night,an orchestra.The place is immaculate,well looked after,had a kettle for my coffee mornings plus a lot of other convenient items too many to list.I was prepared for anything but didn't need everything.I will definitely be back as it was the best tent camping I have ever done and believe me I have been around..lol.I wish this Family all the best in the future, It was great meeting such down to earth people as them.See you soon folks.

It was such an amazing experience! We arrived a little late, but Mike welcomed us warmly. That night, we even got to watch a hockey game with Mike and Sue—they’re truly wonderful hosts. We stayed up late sharing stories and life experiences, and they made sure we had everything we needed. It was our first time camping as a couple, and they made it so easy and enjoyable for us. We had a great time swimming, cooking, and just relaxing. The property is beautifully maintained and everything is so well thought out. We even took the boat out and swam in the afternoon— it was perfect. We’d 100% recommend them and are definitely looking forward to visiting again!

2 nights at the Goose - Jamink Farm

We loved seeing all of the wildlife and farmstock that would just hang out around the cabin. We would definetly recommend the tour! Our guides were very knowledgable about what they do and showed us some on the best looking calves and chickens youll see around. A wonderful experience all around.

Just got back from the most amazing camping trip and I’m still buzzing! 🌲✨ This spot is an absolute gem—gorgeous nature everywhere, with so many hidden treasure spots tucked away in the forest. The lake and beach are the perfect size for a refreshing swim or just relaxing in the sun. Toilets? Super clean and well-kept. And the cherry on top? The incredibly friendly owner and their adorable dog, Shadow! 🐾 Felt so welcomed and at peace the entire time. Highly, highly recommend this magical place—and I honestly can’t wait to go back soon! ⛺💚

The host is helpful friendly, he helped me get a fire started when it was raining. The camp sites are nice and secluded. The stream is really clean and shallow, the river is full of all sorts of fish, a couple muskrats/otters, and a few frogs, there are always giant blue herons, bald eagles and vultures in the sky. I’ve caught a 3ft pike, and a few walleye.

Our host was very hospitable and friendly. The land was beautiful, and we were very glad there was a composting toilet available.

Weekend Trip to Meech Creek Falls

Neal is a really great host and made this whole experience worth coming to. The campsite was exactly what we were looking for. It's perfect if you just want to relax and connect with mother nature and destress away from everyday life. Definitely recommend to everyone. My husband and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish and plan on coming back. Might just be our new favorite vacation spot

Weekend Trip to Cedar fox Farm

What a beautiful spot! It was rustic and cozy, with everything you need to make lifelong memories of a fun experience. I brought along my two young sons and we all had the best time. Of course, we brought extra warm sleeping bags to keep warm, with extra socks and hoodie sweaters, but we knew to be prepared at this time of year. The other thing we expected at this time of year was the swarm of mosquitos. We brought along two Thermacells that worked great, had lots of bug spray with us, brought a battery operated electric bug zapper to get rid of any mosquitos that joined us in the treehouse and brought a hanging bug screen to cover all of our chairs so we could enjoy sitting outdoors without any bugs getting us. I would recommend the same to anyone visiting in May. The joys of being outdoors! Haha. Our experience here was great. From all of the added amenities, to the beauty of the structure, along with the luxury porta-potty, you can’t go wrong! Side note: for an added fun experience, check out Rockin Rhonda’s Diner only 10 minutes away in Avonmore, for ice cream or a bite to eat. The locals are so friendly!

I did the car camping here. It was amazing all the campsites were empty when I was there so I get to pick whatever campsite I want. You don’t have any grocery stores around 20 km so bring in the wood and all the basic necessities .

Weekend Trip to Meech Creek Falls

We loved the whole experience from start to finish. Neal was an amazing host who made sure anything we would have needed was already there for us and everything was beautiful. The sauna was the perfect relaxing along with the view and sound of the falls. It was really great along with the outdoor kitchen and even a woodstove for those chilly mornings/ nights was a very nice touch, 20/10 would recommend for anyone who is looking to decompress from the work week and relax all while having a grocery store and gas station within 3 minute drive to make good use of the kitchen outdoors, anyways we had a great time thanks for having us!!!

Now we welcome visitors who are looking for a casual, rustic, laid back experience with nature in a simple, peaceful setting. Nature is allowed to thrive on our property, and the entire property is forested and wild. The majority of our campsites are shaded under a verdant and lush canopy. Our private beach and small lake welcome you for a swim. All we ask of our visitors is: that whatever you bring in you take home with you, that you leave your campsite and the property the way you found it, and the only thing you take from here are pictures and happy memories. All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water. Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking. Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September. I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. 103 Acre Marlborough Forest

Camping at the 103 Acre woods is part of the Marlborough Forest. It has groomed pathways in the meadow and rustic pathways through the woods for your hiking pleasure. If you are interested in backwoods camping, it's easy to do here, park your car in the driveway, grab your gear, and head to the back forty! If camping is not your thing and you just want some private land for the day, such as a photo shoot, or just wandering around, firepit lunch or firepit dinner, just book a site. If you reserve both sites, the entire land becomes yours for the time you are here. I only list 2 sites for camping so you will have plenty of space and privacy from any other campers. Lots of space to spread out and have your privacy. If you want complete privacy, reserve both sites! For the tenting campsites, I have 2 available. One is in the front 40 near the playstructure and closer to the house. It's called the "Cedars". You can drive directly to your campsite. The other campsite is a short hike into the woods and is just off to the side. It's called the "103 Paces". When staying at the 103 Paces campsite, you can drive through the meadow and park just outside of the woods. From there, there is a lawncart you can use to transport your gear to the campsite. Each campsite has a firepit for your use and is close to a shared composting toilet. If you are staying in an RV, you can park in the driveway and still access all the other parts of the property. Tent campers can select anywhere they want to pitch a tent and enjoy the beauty of the 103 Acre woods. Depending on where you choose to camp, you might be able to drive right up to your site. Firepit and wood available for use providing there is no burn ban. Water from the hose attached to the house is available for use. You are welcome to use the outside outlets to charge your devices. RV Electric hookup can be used for an extra fee. I have a composting toilet in a privacy cabana. There will be sanitizer to sanitize your hands. The composting toilet is a shared facility for both campsites. Comes with toilet paper. If you prefer to have your own composting toilet, you can add that on for an extra when you are booking. It's 10.00 more for your stay. I have a few water jugs to have water at your site if you don't have your own jug. A compost bin is available for food. A trash can is provided for waste. Recycle bins are in use as well for paper and plastic. I have patio table that can be used at your site if it's in the front 40. Back forty, I have a smaller more portable table that can be used. It's not too heavy to port. Firewood is not necessary to bring, there is lots of wood locally here on the property to use, you just have to gather it up yourself. I have a wheelbarrow that can be used to transport it to your site. There are wetlands and forests and meadows. There is very little light pollution here. Come and gaze at the stars If you are lucky, you might get to hear the resident whippoorwill, he is nocturnal. The sky is beautiful at night. Wake up to the sounds of many birds. There is a play structure for kids with 2 slides and a bridge, monkey bars, swings, firepole, and climbing wall. There are many things to find in the back 40. You might find a vintage car bumper, and in the spring if you look really hard, you might come across Lady Slipper orchids. They are stunning in the wild. If you want to trudge through the wetlands, be sure to bring your rubber boots. In the front 40 you can take some fun pictures with a vintage abandoned front end of an Aston Martin truck. The 103 Acre woods is conveniently located 3K from the Rideau River and Canal in Burritt's Rapids. Burritts Rapids has a nice "Tip to Tip" trail you can hike on the island of Burritts Rapids. Also there is the Henry Street Park, which has a small beach on the Rideau River. The Rideau Trail is located nearby as well. There are many entrances to the Rideau Trail just minutes away. Located 10 minutes or so from Merrickville. Great fishing along the Rideal Canal lock system. Merrickville has a small beach on the Rideau River. Merrickville has a wonderful Gelato place "Stella Luna". Get your Gelato and walk back to see the boats in the historic Rideau Canal. Lots of history in Merrickville and Burritt's Rapids. If camping is not your thing and you just want some private land for the day, such as a photo shoot, or just wandering around, firepit lunch or firepit dinner, just book a site. If you reserve both sites, the entire land becomes yours for the time you are here. There are 2 well-behaved chiahuahua's who live on the property. They will see you at the meet and greet. They will for sure welcome you to their yard. Your dog is welcome, just remember to pickup after them.
