Also, in nearby Bobcaygeon you can find world-class shopping and dining, parks, beaches, festivals, a heritage village, and even more lakes. Weekend Trip to 29-Acre Artistic Forest Retreat

Natalie and Seth's barn was overall a great experience! We enjoyed all the extras that were provided to us: entertainment system, well stocked kitchen, etc. The art pieces were also a nice addition too. We all slept great and warm. Our only complaint would be that the toilet smell was a little difficult to tame for us. The sawdust helped a bit but still had a faint smell in the downstairs living space so we had to vent out the barn every few hours to get some fresh air. Hope to come back soon! We had again an amazing experience at Sharrons. This was our second time staying here and i believe now this is going be every year. My 5 yr old loved every single moment here especially the beautiful animals. She fed them, played with them and even held a bunny. It was a dream come true for her. We, three moms looking for a little escape, couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot for our fall weekend. From the moment we arrived, everything about this place felt quietly magical. The setting is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, natural, restorative. The rustle of autumn leaves, crisp fresh air, and unspoiled surroundings made it easy to slow down and breathe. It’s rare to find somewhere so serene, where you can truly unwind. The host was thoughtful and attentive in all the right ways. The tent was comfortable and well-prepared; everything was clean, cared for, and exactly what we needed. The out houses were immaculate—so well kept that they felt more like a pleasant surprise than an afterthought. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and inspired. Weekend Trip to Camp Rose Island

Sarah’s arrival instructions were perfect (our GPS definitely said we arrived before we arrived). We ended up being able to drive all the way in to our site in our Corolla, there was only one rock that stuck out a bit but Sarah warned us about it. The site itself was secluded and quiet, a good distance away from the next closest site. The lake was lovely, the land is lovely, Sarah is lovely; all around a lovely experience 💚

3 nights at Camp Rose Island

Staying at the Forest Site was a top notch experience! Sarah and Will were excellent hosts. Sarah met our car at the road when we arrived and showed us to our site so there were no issues at all in finding the campsite. The cooking area was so nice to have, especially since there was a fire ban and we couldn’t cook over the fire pit. The supplied tent was very roomy and comfortable and we also had plenty of space to pitch other tents. The Forest Site felt very isolated and private from the other sites. The shared beach area and swim dock were great and located on a beautiful private lake. Highly recommend and I hope to stay here again!

Beautiful structure near the creek. Big ol raft in the water with a ZIIIIPPLLLLIIIINNNEE that was much enjoyed Twinkly lights on trail leading to the igloo No wood provided, dishes were dirty from previous folks, BBQ didn’t work Beautiful pond!

1 night at Camp Rose Island

Everything met our expectations at the forest site. 2 min walk to the lake which was nice. Enjoyed the canoes, some fishing and the paddleboard. It rained the whole time but that's out of everyone's control. The provided propane stove was handy. Just be sure to bring your own cutlery, pots, pans, napkins, etc... one person slept up on the bunk, while I set up a cot below. We both slept well. Recommend this to others looking to escape into the woods and not have to worry about bringing a tent.

2 nights at Camp Rose Island

It was quiet and rustic. The sites are all spread out nicely. The door to the screened shelter has quite a step to get in. But you can get in to from the side where the tent is. The tent was roomie. The lake is weedy and has sinky bottom, but deep enough in the middle where the floating dock is. There was a canoe and paddle board which was nice. So you can get out to the floating dock to have a swim. The outhouse was.your typical one. I would suggest adding some screen at the top of it to allow some light in it and it was a good distance from the tent about 60+ feet away. I would like to try the lake side site if a rent again next year, you get your own little dock and it looked like the lake was deeper along the shore line making it easier for a swim then the other dock. Overall would recommend.

1 night at Uxbridge Igloo

We had a lovely time in the Igloo. The location is beautiful and the water was clean and swimmable. The zip line and the slide were pretty fun too. We oiled have loved if the toilet was not beside the bed, it doesn’t smell lovely while in bed. Nonetheless we had a lovely time. Cleaning guy crept up on us before 11 am check out and scared the bejesus out of us. Maybe coming after 11 am would be a nice touch. The sound of the river while sleeping was a plus ! Bring a fan if you are visiting in the summer it is hot. The sauna is lovely and close to the water so you can plunge when it’s hot;)

Weekend Trip to The Hemlock Hideaway

We had a really nice stay! Kelly was very helpful and communicative as we made a very last minute booking and showed up after dark. I love the bell tents, they are my new favourite way of camping! Everything is set up for you already, and there is more space than in an average tent or even a bunkie. Would definitely stay here again
