My partner and I loved staying in the dome, our dogs had a blast playing with Max and Ruby too, sweetest pups I ever met. It was amazing sleeping under the stars and the moon. It was like camping but a lot better. Mitch was very attentive and made our stay an 11/10. If you forget something civilization is close by so don’t fret. The pond and the land surrounding the dome is breathtaking. If you want to sleep under the stars surrounded by nature add this trip to your bucket list you will not be disappointed !

Dale's yurt-style tent was an excellent spot for us to meet up and rest for one night before our canoe trip in the Kawartha Highlands. Dale was quick to respond to my questions and went out of his way to provide wine glasses. The electric fireplace was a welcome feature on a cool night. Wow! We came in mid October to see the autumn colors. What a great experience! First off the hosts are amazing and very helpful. The lodge itself is very comfy, the bed is super clean and comfy as well. There's enough firewood for the whole stay (2 Nights). Oh and our dog loved it as well! The place is around 20 min drive away from any nature hike, and there are plenty in the area. Highly reccomend

This cozy, tranquil cottage is surrounded by gorgeous lake views. Sitting on the edge of Lake Scugog, there are many activities to enjoy nearby including fishing, boating, swimming, paddling, and more!There are also plenty of adventurous trails just minutes away from the cabin where you can hike or bike. The activities nearby are endless.The cottage is located in the middle of Port Perry (a 20-minute drive) and Lindsay (a 25-minute drive). The cottage is equipped with a couch, bed, tv, mini-fridge, coffee maker, electric cooktop, sink, and cooking utensils. Other amenities include potable water, a toilet, shower, picnic table, and wifi. Campfires are permitted and pets are welcome.I look forward to hosting you and sharing my little slice of paradise with you!

Fifthwind farm is located high on a hilltop in Northumberland county. Our farm is only 10 minutes north of Cobourg yet feels tranquil and remote. The view is spectacular…on a clear day New York State is visible. Our Bunkie is fully insulated and cozy on cold winter nights. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails. Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. The Bunkie does not have running water, but water is provided, and the sink can still be used. There is a large bonfire area on our farm, (a little bit away from the Bunkie) also a play area for kids including zip line, boat structure, sand box, swing, above ground pool and trampoline; gorgeous circular organic garden with seating area and a small orchard. The garden and orchard provides many of the flowers, herbs and berries used to create skincare products. www.purejoybotanicals.ca. At Fifthwind we are also dedicated to developing and showcasing natural building techniques including straw bale and compressed earth blocks. www.fifthwind.ca Cobourg is rich with festivals on summer weekends and is known for it’s large beach and waterfront trails. Northumberland Forest is nearby and has trails for hiking and skiing. Hazel Bird natural oak savanna is 5 min away.

If you are working remotely the cottage has great WIFI. You will love the 100 feet of waterfront including water toys! The cottage also features a firepit, wood-burning stove, BBQ, and heat & AC. Lakeside you will enjoy canoeing, paddle-boating and kayaking. You can relax on the screened-in porch while watching kids play. In the winter, enjoy snowshoeing with the snowshoes that are provided! Located only 1.5-2 hours from Toronto (depending on traffic). The cottage is a 12-minute drive from beautiful Balsam Lake Provincial Park, which has scenic hiking trails, a beautiful and clean beach with swimming, picnic areas, and a kids playground. Traveling with small children? Let us know! Our cottage is very family-friendly with lots of toys, books, games, a sandbox, kid's life jackets, mini Muskoka chairs, and a mini picnic table. It is fantastic for wading or playing in the shallow water by the dock, canoeing, paddle boating, relaxing on floaties, etc., however, it is not ideal for distance swimming. We recommend that guests bring water shoes or crocs. This cottage is not suitable for parties.
