Situated in Caithness, New Brunswick, where the Magaguadavic River meets the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Once owned by high profile Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea resident, Robert Pagan, the property, like other properties in the area, was granted to American Loyalist Soldiers of Scottish Highlanders, and named for Caithness, Scotland, the place where Golf began.
When the US Revolutionary War ended, the King of Holland was chosen to define the boundary between the United States and Canada. He chose the “St Croix River”. The problem was, nobody knew where the St Croix River was. That name had been used by the French, but had not been used in a very long time.
Canadians believed the Schoduc River was the St Croix. American’s believe the Wolastoq River (now called the St John River) was the St Croix River.
The local North American Indigenous people (the MicMacs or Mi'kmaqs) told Robert Pagan of a place called “Bone Island” where their history told of Europeans living and dying there. Pagan did an archaeological dig on “Bone Island” and found the remains of the French colonists and their settlement. This proved “Bone Island”, also known as “Dochet Island” or “Saint Croix Island", was the site of Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Monts' ill-fated 1604 settlement.
Based on this, the Boundary Commission agreed that the Schoduc River was the Saint Croix River and therefore, the international boundary between Canada and America.
The survivors of the 1604/1605 fall/winter moved from St Croix Island to Port-Royal in Nova Scotia (two years before the European arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, the earliest continuously occupied European settlement in the USA).
Without the work of Robert Pagan, this campsite and half of New Brunswick, including the Capital City of Fredericton and half of the City of Saint John would have been part of Province of Massachusetts Bay (later Maine).
In the 1800's this property was part of a 1000 acre lot of land owned by two McKenzie brothers, Sea Captains. Since the late 1960s, the property was the summer home of Ben and Marg Leland, parents to 14 children and 50 grandchildren.
Today, there are four (4) separate fields available for campers - Barnes' Point, Charlies Garden, the Villa Point and the Main Beach.
The property has 2 miles of shoreline and several beaches to enjoy. The property even has a private island, Blueberry Island.
A really unique and quiet place to stay.

Natural long grass fields for camping, some mowed mid-season. There are several shale beaches on the tidal salt water. There is also access to the Fresh Water of the Magaguadavic River.
Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters, may want to choose to go from the campsite, up the Magaguadavic River to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest (at the most eastern end of the Campsite).
Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an ice cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.

We have large area cleared for RVs, trailers, tents or camper van dispersed camping sites. The ranch has ten 30 amp power sites with lots of room to turn around and most you can drive right through without having to back up.
Views of mountains in every direction with lots of wild birds in the area. We have horses, cows, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats at the ranch. The small working ranch is in the Rocky mountain trench with the Rocky Mountains to the east the Caribou range to the east and the Monashee Mountains to the south.

Nearby activities include hiking, biking( bike rentals available in town), climbing, fishing, paddling.
The site is 20 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake trailhead) and just over an hour to Jasper National Park. Valemount townsite is 15 minutes away and is home to a renowned mountain bike park, and excellent restaurants such as the Glacier fire Pizza.
Please take the time to read any posted signs regarding rules of the ranch, speed limits, etc, and do not leave a trace. Please bring your garbage, tissues and cans with you. There is a local transfer station just 10 minutes south of us outside the village of Valemount. Please respect our home.

Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.
-RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under

We have eight RV specific campsites (up to 40ft x 25ft) plus overflow camper and tenting spots. Our property spans 19 beautiful acres with panoramic lake views, located just minutes from historic downtown Salmon Arm. The foreshore trail runs below the property which is great for walking or biking through the bird sanctuary and over the boardwalks
Each site includes a picnic table and a wood-burning fire pit (for use when permitted). Guests also have access to a communal outdoor kitchen area with a dishwashing station, fridge, barbecue, and smoker. Potable water, a washing machine, and hot showers are included in the nightly rate. We provide clean porta-potty washrooms and free hot showers. Trash removal is the responsibility of each guest. The sites are natural and mostly level they are not manicured. The Canadian Pacific Railway runs below the property along the foreshore trail which may be disruptive to some guests.
All campsites are easily accessible and offer amazing lake views. Canoe Beach Park and its boat launch and sandy beach are just a short 10-minute drive along the lakeshore and the downtown pier and boat launch is a 5-minute drive. Come enjoy an unforgettable stay in Beautiful Shuswap SalmonArm.

Whether you bring your own tent or RV, or rent one of our cozy options, you’ll find yourself surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Enjoy fishing, for rainbow trout, swimming, or launching your boat or other water craft right from the park.
Located only 14 km from the Waterton Park boundary and a short 20-minute drive to the Waterton Park townsite, our campground offers the perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility. For those looking to explore further, we are also just 25 minutes from Cardston, home to the historic Remington Carriage Museum, the Cardston Carriage House Theatre, and the beautiful temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Relax around the fire pit, savor meals at the provided picnic tables, and immerse yourself in the quiet, private setting. Please note, we currently do not offer hook-ups or potable water, so come prepared to enjoy a true off-grid experience. We are located only a 15 minute drive from the Waterton Lake National Park.

Pitch your tent in our picturesque Carolinian forest in the heart of Norfolk county! Choose from 9 tent sites and 2 lodging sites spread across 10 acres of wooded area on our 49 Acre farm. Well-kept trails to explore throughout. We are proud to have made the runner-up list for best Hipcamp in Ontario 2023
The terrain is mostly flat but interesting. Campsites are private with good separation from each other. ALL sites have 2 car parking, a picnic table, fire pit and covered wood for purchase. Campfires are permitted according to our approved burn plan before midnight.
5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. We have 3 outhouses on the premises and an outdoor hot shower.
FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩
Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station.
We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer
We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company.
Birders Paradise!
The ‘Long Point Birding Area’ in Norfolk County is one of Canada’s premier birding locales. With over 400 species of birds observed, Long Point looms large as one of the most exciting places on the continent to observe our rich birdlife.

We love this campsite. Plenty of space between campsites, you could barely see and almost never hear any other campsite. The kids activities, including slip & slide, rope swing and disk golf were a massive draw and they did not disappoint. So much fun for all the family.
A bit more mosquitoes than other campsites but we brought our mesh tent as a hang out spot and it worked amazing. I think this year was worse than others so that may just have been a “this year” problem.
Hosts & camp attendants were very friendly and informative. Told us about some nearby beaches and lakes. The world’s largest paddle is 2 min drive which was pretty cool to check out.
We only stayed 2 nights but we will be back as we didn’t even get to check out the treehouse which I hear is amazing.
We will definitely be back. Can’t wait to hit the slip & slide again!

What a wonderful getaway! As someone camping solo for the first time they had everything i needed which made this mini getaway such a breeze. The area had endless trails to explore and so many options to enjoy. If you needed something Pat & Geri were close by to meet your needs. Cant get over the amount of options they have for anyone to enjoy! A hidden gem! Looking forward to returning!

Weekend Trip to Collinswood Retreat
Pat and Geri were wonderful hosts, the yurt was clean and comfortable. I have now stayed at their lovely property twice (once camping, and now this time in the yurt) and I will be back again! My friends have also all stayed at some point or another, and have all had excellent experiences. It truly is a retreat!

Weekend Trip to Agape Gardens | Nature Stays
I can’t begin to explain how beautiful Agape Gardens are with carefully thought out landscaping , privacy, tranquility and excellent sites for camping or cabin stays.
The warmth and generosity of Jennie and Jeremy and their delightful homestead made this stay all the more memorable. The wild spa with wood fired sauna and hot tub was fantastic!! I highly recommend a stay at Agape Gardens because the beauty and personal renewal it offers in a stunning setting is worth everything. A place to revisit for sure!!

Nous avons passer une super séjour, l’endroit a tout ce qu’il faut : espace couvert pour cuisiner, gazebo pour relaxer , wild spa, pleins d’activités à proximités!
Si nous retournerions nous aimerions louer leur grande tente blanche (nous avions notre propre ⛺️).
Les spots de camping sont magnifiques, mais si il fait chaud ou il pleut il n’y a pas d’arbres pour pouvoir se protèger! Prenez cela en considération pour vous préparer.
Nous y retournerons c’est certain !!!

This entire property is stunning. With over a mile of waterfront, every spot has a great view. The host was welcoming and helpful and we were setup in no time. Dogs were welcome and enjoyed the trails and beach. Truly beautiful spot.
