Join us on our family farm. Fall is approaching and our first three sites will close Sunday Sept 17th. For self contained vehicles looking for an off season stay, please message us and we can see how we can provide a spot. We have begun work on our next expansion, and next spring will be happy to open our additional campsites for ten total sites. Bookings are open for stays beginning May 1st, 2024, weather permitting. In the meantime, we have our first few sites open to let you join us and relax in the forest. Site 1 and 2 are drive-in sites. Site 3 is a tent-only site. These sites will welcome you to recharge in nature. Dark night skies will open you to all the majesty of our solar system. Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans and similar. We have a tent pad site as well for cyclists or motorbikes. Small trailers up to 16 feet may be usable, but access may be tight. Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted. Easy access to Mt Washington and Strathcona Park, local beaches, rivers and more. We are open for camping till September 30th and will close until April 1st, 2024.

The Glamping Beachcomber

1 site · Lodging18 acres · Campbell River, BC
Wake up surrounded by the stunning sights and sounds of nature. 300 meters from the beaches of the Strait of Georgia, nestled on 18-acres of family property is The Glamping Beachcomber. This oasis consists of a large canvas tent on a 900sq’ wrap around deck. It’s well-furnished inside and out with an outdoor covered and supplied kitchen. Step off the deck and choose your path. If Oyster River is your destination, the beautiful nature trail will take you there. Stop along the way for a swim, picnic, paddle, driftwood fort building, maybe try your campfire building skills! Or meander above the shoreline along the driftwood covered shore on one side of you and past acres of distillery farmland and the Oyster River Estuary on your right. Where the river meets the sea just around the corner, it’s not uncommon to find a seal bobbing and heron near the shoreline, and maybe an eagle further out on the sandbar waiting for their seafood meal. To smell the forest, sea, and freshness of a flowing river all in one breath doesn’t happen many places, but it’s here everyday. Deer, rabbits, herons and eagles are a near certainty right on our property. Currently there is a Great Horned Owl’s nest with 50 meters and you may catch sighting of the owlets. If a touch of civilization appeals, you'll find some essentials just past the nature trail, or a short drive away. The bright sunny fielded forest alongside the beach blends together these experiences so seamlessly. See the map! Beyond our property at Salmon Point… The Shelter Point Distillery tastings and tours. Oyster River plaza (Grocery store, liquor store, pizza and coffee, and a medical clinic/pharmacy) - Sandy Saratoga beach (water sport rentals) across the Oyster River. Miracle Beach Provincial Park. Saratoga Speedway on Saturday nights. And 15 min drive to the bottom of Mt Washington, popular for hiking, ziplining, mountain biking and competition. Or, pocket your keys, and stay put. It's a complete holiday right here on the property.
