Get into nature and enjoy the peace that comes from being surrounded by a healthy forest! This cabin is located on a remote island and is only accessible by water taxi, private boat, float plane charter, kayak or canoe. The water taxi runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday in the summer months and costs $140 per adult one way. It is not unusual to see whales and other wildlife on the journey to Read Island on this boat trip! Here is the link to Way West Water taxi, which departs from Campbell River. https://waywest.ca/northern-scheduled-runs/ Located a 10 minute walk from the ocean, this private tiny home cabin offers visitors a unique authentic off-grid island experience. Explore the ponds and enjoy special nature trails. Relax in nature and savor wild life observations. Connect to nature during beach visits, hiking trails and swimming at the lake. The tiny home features a queen bed in the loft, twin bed downstairs, outdoor hot shower, full kitchen with bar fridge and propane range. A sauna (if fires permitted) composting toilets and outdoor showers are available. Use the tiny home deck to gather and eat under the sun and stars. Relax in the comfy patio furniture or chill out in a shady hammock. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit when permitted. Add - ons : Organic sourdough bread, firewood. The hosts are willing to help coordinate a unique stay including boat transport (Way West Water Taxi from Campbell River), food shopping, baking, etc at an agreed cost. Please contact us if you would like any add ons well ahead of time. Activities: Explore the Discovery Islands through boating, fishing, or wildlife tours. Paddle sports like kayaking and paddleboarding offer opportunities to deeper connections to nature and wildlife. Located 3 hours paddling from Quadra Island, and 2 hours by water taxi from Campbell River, this property is located on a totally off grid remote island. The land is located in a quiet residential neighborhood of private acreages which are mostly forested. Other things to note : this property is in a remote location with no stores or medical services.

Our first tent site is centrally located between the front of our property where our farm and garden and Tiny Home is located and our swimming pond in the back. This is a barebones campsite with access to an outhouse, clean water and an swimming hole. A propane firepit is available for a fee and campfires are permitted outside of the fire-ban window. A nearby swimming pond with benches and a picnic table offer a nice place to hangout. This site would be ideal as an add on for additional members of your group to a stay at our tiny home site which offers a full kitchen , hot outdoor shower, potable water , and composting toilet. Rented as a stand alone site requires a short walk to the outhouse, and no cooking facilities at this time.

Read Island Retreats tiny home cabin is located a 10 minute walk from the ocean and a 30 minute walk to Rosen Lake in Read Island Provincial Park. Guests will have to hike to the beaches and the lake.

Cozy cabin - Read Island Retreats
Stayed here during a Janurary storm. Very cozy, quiet and peaceful. Hosts are kind and accommodating ! Well serviced little cabin .
