We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, cafes, restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub.
Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour.
Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags.
Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching.
Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them.
Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive.
You can pick your own site.
Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area.

Our property is located 45 minutes west of Port Macquarie and 20 mins from Wauchope. Located on the edge of the small community of Long Flat.
Mountainview offers approximately 15 acres/700mts of riverside van sites which cater only to self-contained vans. Public toilets are within easy walking distance in the local township of Long Flat where you will also find a great pub and general store to resupply (1 km from property entrance).
The property features a gated entrance and graveled road for your convenience and safety. We have 13 designated van sites available with plenty of space for privacy. If you are booking with others, please let us know so we can site you together.
We are unable to accommodate tent sites.
The river is a perfect spot to swim, kayak or fish with plenty of wildlife around to see, river shoes are advised for your comfort. The river can sometimes be swollen and fast flowing. Please watch children at all times.
Camping fires are only allowed outside of fire restrictions. Fires must be in a proper container / bucket. Please leave site clear. If you forage for wood please clear site of whats left before leaving This property is pet friendly though we do ask that owners leash and clean up after their fur babies. Dump points are located at Wauchope and Port Macquarie. We ask that all rubbish is taken with you upon leaving. Please be mindful that we do have neighbours and we ask that you be respectful and keep all noise to a minimum after 11pm and before 6am.
Please DO NOT cut through our neighbours property to get to and from pub. This is classed as trespassing and you will be ejected from property.
If broken glass is left behind on the site it will result in an instant ban.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
Roadworks will be occurring at Peedee Hill from now until July 2026. This will only affect campers travelling through Kempsey. Peedee Hill is 30 minutes from the campground and just over an hour from Kempsey. The road will be impassable Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm, Wednesdays 9am-2pm, Saturdays 8am – 1pm. If you leave Kempsey an hour before the road opens you will be able to drive straight through.
DO NOT USE GPS once on Kempsey Road! Because the road is closed on Live Traffic, GPS will take you into the back hills.

1.5 hours. Travel through Willawarrin, Bellbrook and continue straight for 32 kms until you see our signs on the left.
From Armidale

Armidale is home to many gorges and national parks like no other region. Dangars falls is a stunning waterfall with a picnic area.
This rural property suits self sufficient campers only with own drinking water and shower/toilet amenities. All campers must take their rubbish with them leaving no trace - no bins provided.

Our 25 acre country block is located only 5 km from the CBD, but provides a very rural outlook. We have 2 dams which provide a haven for ducks and waterbirds. We have 6 alpacas that wander around the paddocks, as well as chickens, kangaroos, wallabies and prolific birdlife. The views are quite beautiful to the south and east. We are very close to the World Heritage New England National Park and the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, where bushwalking is abundant, along with spectacular waterfalls. The University of New England is well worth a visit, as well as beautiful churches, Cathedrals and many more historic buildings, and small townships close by. The sites are self-service with no amenities available, so best suited to those happy to be self-sufficient and with a 'leave no trace' approach.
If you are into rock climbing, there is some great adventures to be had at Gara Gorge. Not for the faint hearted:))

Camping options include riverside camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground.

Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival.
Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY.
There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees.
The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away.
Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

My property consists of 100 acres with two rivers joining in the property with at least 1 km of river frontage. We are located in the foothills of the Nambucca valley.
Pristine beaches are 20 minutes away, mountains and four-wheel drive tracks are a quick 20 minutes the other way. From here it's 15 minutes to Bellingen, 25 minutes to the famous Pub With No Beer and 5 minutes to the historic "verandah posts" town of Bowraville.
Here you will find beautiful bird watching, animals and wildlife.
Park your car or set up your caravan next to the river where you will wake up to amazing views.
Enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank, breathe in the fresh clean air, try a spot of fishing or sit back and enjoy some bird watching. Warm your feet by the campfire in the evenings.
We're located 20 minutes from Nambucca Heads as well as Scotts Heads beaches, and 30 minutes from Taylors Arm. A quick trip up into the foothills will take you to some great 4WD and mountain biking tracks, or you can explore the region and visit the historical Pub With No Beer.
You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite and the river but 2WDs are ok.

There is lots of space to walk and explore with tracks leading up into the heart of the National Park. Nearby are many gorgeous rivers, beaches and other national parks to explore. We are convieniently located only 10 minutes from Macksville for shopping and cafes and only 15 minutes from Scotts Head, a great beach for families and surfers.
Rules at Yagaari:
LEAVE NO TRACE - We ask that everyone staying at Yagaari look after the land throughout their stay and leave nothing behind when they leave.
NO CHEMICAL PRODUCTS - We ask that no chemical soaps, insect repellents, deodorants or skin products of any kind are used in our showers or in our waterways.

There are many forest tracks close by for walking, biking and 4WD-ing, and the nearby towns provide fuel, food and more!
We have 2 comfortable grassed sites suitable for tents up to small motorhomes. We have many farm animals to see, including Belted Galloway cattle and sheep.

Had a fantastic stay at Mountainview Long Flat. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing outdoors. Plenty of space to set up camp and enjoy the scenery, with a great atmosphere all around. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great camping getaway!

We had the best long weekend at Macleay Valley. Peace & quiet, lots of birdlife including beautiful black swans and a fire at night time. Access was great, the strip along the river was mown, lots of room for us all to spread out.

I highly recommend Brett and Melanie’s property if you're looking for a little getaway from your busy week.
This property is well-kept and clean; it's so peaceful, and we woke up to the birds, not to voices.
The river is beautiful, and the sites are massive. We have just got home and booked in for two weeks time

Site 12 was an absolute gem—right by the creek and so serene. The peaceful setting and the sound of the water made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. A beautiful spot we’ll definitely come back to.

I loved the peace and quiet of the location. We used the camp as base for our day trips. Very basic camp but beautiful grassed area just what we needed.

Lovely quiet and well maintained camp sites on the bank of the Hastings River. Mid April, but still warm enough to swim in. The campsites are well spaced apart and have lovely views over the river and surrounding mountains. Perfect for a restful few days.

Well laid out campground. Peaceful, quiet and with a great host. Close to the local town for coffee, pub etc. highly recommend if you what get away from it all for a few days. we stayed for over a week, loved it.

With kids
We stayed over Easter and had a great time. Plenty of space, well manicured areas to set up on. Ross was a great host, checking in to see if we were ok and providing plenty of laughs. I even had a trail flight lesson with Ross which was amazing. Highly recommend staying here.
