Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded, private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage. Camping options include riverside camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground. Only sand mats or similar, NO TARPS, to be set up on the grassed areas to preserve the grass. Firewood $20/night (CASH ONLY PLEASE). Please let us know in advance if you want firewood. Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival. Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

This site offers a sunny grassed corner of the river flats, which is a bit smaller than other sites. If you need more shade in the middle of the day - Top Flat or Middle swimming hole sites may be more suitable. There is running water and a deep, exclusively yours, hole for swimming and gravel beach with a few shady trees beside the river. The site accommodates caravans, camper trailers, roof top tents, tents. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

This site offers a large, level, sunny grassed area with some shade trees. There is clear, running water for swimming or relaxing and a river gravel beach. You will enjoy a deep, large, private water hole, (exclusively yours during your stay), with rock bars at the start and the end. The site has easy access to accommodate caravans, camper trailers, roof top tents, tents. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Please take ALL your rubbish with you when you leave (do not leave any rubbish in the fire pit)

This is our family's favourite camping spot. It has a grassed area of the river flats and a large level gravel area next to the creek. It is very private and sheltered and provides more shade than the other camping sites. There is running water for swimming or relaxing under the shady trees beside the creek and a moderately deep, exclusively yours, swimming hole with big rocks. The site accommodates off-road camper trailers, roof top tents, There are no amenities here, Campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

The campsite is situated beside shallow water running over river gravel into the, exclusively yours, swimming hole with the fire pit on the river pebble beach. This campsite is private and, as the name suggests, is located beside the beautiful creek. There is shade close to the water as well as plenty of sunny space to spread out. There are some areas of shallow water to paddle in and near the rock crossing is a lovely deeper spot for swimming. 4wd and 2wd vehicles can access this site, though as always, we recommend 4wd.

The Shack and Swimming Hole

For smaller off road caravans, camper trailers, 4wd/rooftop tents, swags/tents. The Shack is an 8m x 8m uninsulated rustic building with timber floors situated on top of a small hill with amazing views over the flats to the river that wraps around. (I recommend you click on the cover photo to see more clearly - the entire area from shack to river is your own private space). It is equipped with battery powered led lights, lounges, table/chairs and a sink. There is now a rainwater tank attached allowing access to drinking water at the kitchen sink. Outside there is a large fire pit complete with log seating. The Shack is at the top end of our property, is extremely private and protected, surrounded by hills. Water runs shallow over river pebbles to a deep, private swimming hole a short stroll across the private grassed area. A little wooden bridge over a gully near the shack will take you to a pit toilet. Ideally suited for a large group that want to camp around the river bank and use the shack as a communal area or shelter from rain. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

Chinaman's valley

A private, scenic (the photos show the various season changes) and protected 24 acre flat valley floor bordered by our hardwood plantation on both sides. A seasonal creek runs down the eastern side with shallow water holes. There are numerous shaded camping spots particularly at the southern end. Just pick your favourite spot. This is an ideal winter camping spot with a good fire to keep you warm.. There are lots of walks up the valleys and water courses.

We loved this HIPCAMP. On arrival we were greeted by Ian. He had already got our campfire 🔥 ready to light. He also had a delicious chocolate brownie for us for dessert ( everyone gets this little treat ) This campsite was lovely and green. Ian had cleaned up all the 🐄 💩 too The creek was cool but lovely and clean, We strolled the paddocks and met all the livestock 38 babies 🐄 A quiet and relaxed few days spent here You need to be self sufficient & firewood 🪵 is available to purchase. Thanks for having us Bobby & Ian

We had an amazing weekend stay. Ian was a fantastic host: welcoming, helpful, and respectful of our space. The campsite itself is a peaceful haven. We swam, fished, and even spotted turtles in the creek – a magical experience for the kids! The rope swing was a huge hit, and the dogs loved having the freedom to roam safely. Friendly cows wandered through our site, curious but gentle, adding to the charm of the place. If you're looking for a relaxed, nature-rich getaway with space for kids and pets to explore, this spot is a gem. We'll definitely be back!

The location was really great as were the hosts. Nothing was a problem and we even got a visit from a few inquisitive farm horses asking for carrots.

Top Flat Swimming Hole
Fantastic spot and the only one's we had to share it with were the cows, horses, goana's and dozens of native birds. Watching the Azure Kingfisher's catching dinner each evening was a highlight. We'll be back!

Amazing camp, really private and beautifully maintained. Restful and tranquil... Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful swimming holes. Took our two dogs who loved the walks and the water. Will definitely return to this beautiful spot.

This place is paradise! River frontage with easy access for the kids, wildlife galore, rope swings, fires, star-filled sky. Ian and Bobby were kind and wonderful hosts - the brownies from Bobby were delicious, and Ian even gave us a demonstration on the zip line. 10/10 ⭐️

Definitely the best family camping spot. My teenagers played and played on the rope swing. We stayed 4 days and we were definitely not ready to come home. Top spot.

We had. Great time here. Bobbi and Ian were wonderful hosts and couldn’t have done more to help us have a great stay. The whole area is beautiful but we loved the flying fox over the creek and our own little beach. Cows and horses appeared on and off to say hi! Kids voted it their favourite camping spot ever!

We had the most amazing time at Yarrawin. We stayed at the first crossing and it was such a big area. Lots of creek to swim, float and kayak in. It’s a very beautiful property, highly recommend and would loved to have stayed longer.

Such a beautiful farm near Bowraville. Ian & Bobbie were friendly hosts . Great camping close to a pristine river that runs through the property . Peace & quiet with lots of wildlife / birds . Oh the brownies were delicious too . Will definitely return one day !

Top Flat Swimming Hole
We had a fantastic couple of nights at Yarrawin. The site was a gorgeous, flat, pristine, with a warp around creek, and completely private. It includes cleared areas but also has plenty of trees if you need some shade, as well as a large creekside firepit that had been pre-stacked with kindling. We had planned to do a day trip but decided to stay put and enjoy the serenity. Bobbi and Ian are lovely and go above and beyond for their campers. Bobbi welcomed us with a home made brownie and Ian guided us to our site (Top Flat Swimming Hole) which was pristine, despite being in the midst of a working cattle property. Apparently they spend quite a lot of time clearing the sites of cattle poo before campers arrive. Having this gorgeous site only about an hour away from home is such an amazing gift. We will definitely be back.

Most amazing hip camp I have ever been too, and now the most special place to me and my partner as it is where we got engaged. The property is well kept and stunning with wide open plains to hidden little spots! Bobby and Ian are friendly and not to mention the brownies are out of this world! We will be back very soon and will be making this a regular trip

Top Flat Swimming Hole
We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Yarrawin. The property was so beautiful and peaceful. The campsite was picture perfect with the creek frontage and shady trees. We found it totally relaxing. A place to escape and unwind. We would highly recommend visiting. The sites are level, grassed and private. What made this place special was the property owners Bobbie and Ian. A BIG thank you for sharing your farm and ensuring our stay was enjoyable. We will be back.

This was on of our most favourite campsites yet. Ian didn’t hesitate to call and explain we were planning to arrive on a day forecasted to rain rain rain! We decided to go anyway, and we are very glad we did! The first night was very wet and cold, but we soldiered through. What an incredible spot to wake up in. Right next to a clear flowing creek- parts shallow enough for kids while other spots deep enough to plunge, not too close to the other campers, lots of luscious grass flats for our swag, many friendly cows roaming. It was perfect. Even more perfect with no reception! Nice big fire pits with firewood available to purchase. If I could give this place an 11 out of 10 I would, we will definitely be back.

The photos don't do this place justice. It's absolutely beautiful on the river. Our two kelpies had an amazing time swimming and playing. The horses came up into our campsite and tried to steal our bread rolls which was hilarious. Ian and Bobbi were lovely and the complimentary brownies and firewood were much appreciated. We will be back.

Loved our break at Ian & Bonnie's property, particularly the beautiful waterhole and beach which my 3 year old granddaughter loved. Plenty of open space with weed and prickle free grass, resulting in plenty of running around barefoot. Great fire pit with 1st nights firewood free! Loved our daily visits from the friendly horses and cows and occasional kangaroo. Our welcome gift provided by Bonnie was also very much appreciated and enjoyed. Would definitely return.

The Shack and Swimming Hole
A fantastic site split between the river and the shack. The scenery is stunning. We were a mix of adults and kids and we all had a great time playing in the water and relaxing by the fire. Ian and Bobbie were great hosts (the brownie is delicious). We visited in mixed weather so the use of the shack was welcome when it was raining.

Out of the 30 or so Hipcamps we’ve stayed at we can comfortably say Creekside at Yarrawin has been the best one yet. Immaculate campsite next to a beautiful creek. Hosts were welcoming and friendly and took the time to have the fire pit ready to light!

Beautiful Waterfront Camping

Middle Swimming Hole
Our little family had the best time camping at the middle swimming hole site. We were greeted by Bobbie upon arrival - she was kind and very hospitable, she even baked us brownies, they were amazing! We later met Ian on our site making sure we had everything we needed. Such lovely hosts. The site itself was unreal. Beautiful spot by the running water. The kids loved it. Plenty of room and being Easter weekend there was a few other campers - did not see or hear anyone, very private. We were in our jayco swan camper trailer and had no issues getting to the site. Very accessible. Had the best weekend and hope to come back to Bobbie and Ian’s property again in the future. Thanks for having us guys.
