You do need to be completely self sufficient and to respect our pristine environment and take all rubbish away with you. Food scraps we are happy to share with the feathered flock. The property offers privacy and magnificent views of rolling green hills and ancient trees and a huge dam with pontoon for swimming. Great stars on a clear night. Sit, relax, and enjoy the magnificent views or utilise the surrounding forests, beaches, lakes, farmers markets, and local winery. You'll be camping near a herd of horses. There's also the Pet pig "Barney Rubble" and ponies / ducks/ chickens/ talking parrot to entertain little people. Firewood can be purchased when you arrive for CASH for $20 per load and must be collected from the house upon arrival. Eggs also are available - $8 CASH on arrival. Lemons, Limes and chilli's are free. We limit bookings for your privacy. It is a hilly property so you need adequate power and 4WD to access the higher sites, particularly if towing and after extended wet periods. Message if you are unsure.. 4WD are most suitable for this property. Dogs are welcome and are fine to be off-lead provided they don't chase horses and are friendly. They must be on a lead near the house around the free-range chooks etc. Campers should be fully contained. Bring all, take all, no footprint camping. Weekend Trip to Luckystars Sanctuary

We recently stayed at this Hipcamp and it struck a really nice balance between feeling off-grid and still being comfortable. The site itself was well maintained, with plenty of space and a thoughtful layout that gave a sense of privacy. One of the standout features is that the property is also an animal sanctuary, which adds a really special dimension to the stay. There are opportunities to interact with the animals, and it’s clear they’re well cared for. Spending time with them made the experience feel more meaningful and memorable, especially if you enjoy being around animals. The setting overall is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for slowing down. Whether it was mornings with a coffee taking in the view or evenings by the fire, it felt like a proper reset. The host was friendly and responsive without being intrusive, which made the whole experience smooth and relaxed.

Weekend Trip to Luckystars Sanctuary

We enjoyed our stay at Lucky Stars Sanctuary and would recommend this spot. Check in was easy, the site was flat with electric hookup. It was dark and quiet at night time. The sheep and geese roam in the area which was nice and in the morning Clint told us more about the sanctuary whilst feeding the animals. Clint is doing an amazing job helping all of the animals and you can see he truly cares. A large grassed area with fire pits and water available. We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base to explore the area. Close to Seal Rocks without the crowds.

There were so many animals here and we went for a feeding round in the morning and we got to play with so many cats! They were okay with a late check in which was great for us as we arrived around 8pm, there were other people camping there at the same time, but they were so far we only saw them in the morning

Myalls Away was the perfect place for us to stay over Easter. Only a couple of groups staying here and felt really private and like our own little campsite <3 Michael was super lovely!! and his pup Halo made sure to check on us at dinner time : )

Weekend Trip to Luckystars Sanctuary

We had a wonderful long weekend at Lucky Stars Sanctuary. Clint and the team were all accommodating and lovely. Our two kids loved helping feed the animals and petting them at every chance they got. Friendly faces everywhere and we even had a camp fire under the stars. Thanks again Clint and we will be back soon.

Excellent location, nice grounds. We pitched just near the small dam with the pump shed. All you need for a stay in the region. Good and prompt communication with Micheal the owner through-out. Can’t recommend it enough.

We loved our five day stay at Myalls Away. Plenty of space so you’re not squeezed in next to other campers, the water on site was a bonus and daily visits from Halo the geriatric Staffy made us feel right at home. Loved that there was fire pits provided and the grounds were freshly mown. Really close to Neranie a fave lake spot and Seal Rocks. Would camp there again!

If you're looking for a place where animals are family, you'll find pure happiness at Luckystars Sanctuary! Clint is a one of a kind host, and you'll want for nothing. Unfortunately, I could only stay one night, but I'll definitely be back...simply a magical place and so much fun...super easy to get to...plenty of space and beautiful nature...highly recommended - also for solo travelers like me :)

Lovely spot for peace and quiet. Clint friendly and informative. The animals were brilliant, perfect paradise for animal lovers. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Toilet and shower, electric, and WiFi were really handy to have.
