The Peach Farm

15 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents55 acres · Mororo, NSW
Relax or get involved at The Peachy; an iconic, eco friendly, off-grid animal rescue farm... privately owned and publicly loved! We feed the farm animals and collect the eggs every morning at 8am so set your alarm and join in the fun. Gypsy, your onsite hostess with the mostest, will take you on a fun-filled journey where everyone learns something! The dam is back in action after the drought and then an invasive weed taking over. There are kayaks here and they are free for everyone to enjoy. There is a nature playground for the kids, an outdoor bathtub (book with us after you have booked your site $45 or book as a 'camp site'), wood-fired pizza oven (book in the 'extras') and a well equiped community kitchen. Ask us about our private pet friendly camping events we organise! The next one being a womens only (sorry guys but your day will come) from 1st to 3rd March 2024. The Peach Farm is centrally located within a 20 minute drive to close by attractions. Adventure; 4 wheel drive at Shark Bay. Swim; Iluka's famous beaches. Walk; Iluka Heritage Rainforest, from the lush rainforest to the amazing views at The Bluff. Explore; Yamba, Angourie, the Scottish town of Maclean. Our eccentric affectionate mix of farm animals will win you over in seconds especially if you grab some feed from your hosts. All of our loving animals have been rescued as a tiny baby or taken in when their owners could no longer care for them. Each site has a picnic table and a fire-pit and you can book a camp oven package if you would like to engage in some outdoor cooking. It's fun, relaxing and nothing beats a camp oven stew! Our community kitchen is a hub for get togethers and yarns, well equipped with a gas cooktop, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, a BBQ, fridge/freezer, and plenty of tables. There are fresh herbs and eggs when in plentiful supply. Please use the worm bin for all your kitchen scraps. We have an amazing composting loo but no showers yet. We are pet friendly however we do ask that you have your best friends on a leash AT ALL TIMES and please do not get too close to the alpacas, they are protectors and will become uneasy and distressed. We strongly believe in 'leaving no trace' so please be mindful of our animals, other happy campers and 'take only memories leave only footprints'. “The peach from can only be accessed heading north on the highway. If coming from the North take the Iluka exit and then just loop back to head north - 1.5km turn off is on the left straight off the Highway!"

Mororo Primitive Bush Camp

1 site · RV, Tent160 acres · Mororo, NSW
Once of the highway driving to the campsite you be surrounded by dense bushland. On arrival at the camp sight it'll be just you and the bush. You'll have a small clearing with a shelter surrounded by dense bushland where you can have a camp fire, in complete privacy due to having only one camp-site on the farm so you don't have to worry about others. You will hear native birds and possibly see native fauna. You will hear some slight road noise from the A1 Pacific highway due to the proximity but this noise is drowned out by the native birds and dense bushland. The camp sight is dog friendly and we allow you to bring your horses, dirt bikes and mountain bikes to explore the vast surrounding bushland and go riding on local tracks. (riding is not to be conducted within the property itself) You can also go Bush walking and we also recommend you bring a good quality spotlight so you can go spotlighting looking for native fauna that come out during the night. The property is not to far from a local 4wd access beach if your into beach fishing or sand driving there is also multiple Boat ramps nearing the property to launch boats into the Clarence River. This is also a primitive self sufficient campsite. We can supply firewood at an additional cost (wheel barrow size only) just contact us to arrange.(strictly no cutting of timber or firwood on the property includes fallen trees/logs or standing trees.) Mosquito repellent and citronella candles highly recommended during mosquito season. Please don't burn rubbish or non flammable materials in fire pits. We highly recommend having a 4wd to access the campsite during or after wet periods. Any suggestions and feed back is much appreciated Enjoy your stay. Surrounding areas- Approx 27km from Yamba- Approx 23km from Iluka.

Tuckiyana

9 sites · RVs, Tents9 acres · Broadwater, NSW
The property is only approximately 9 acres and located approximately 4 to 5 kms off the Pacific Hwy on the Richmond River and not far from Evans Head, which is great for fishing, boating, biking, coastal walks, kite flying, etc, there are also kayaks available. There is a residence on the property that looks out to the water there are large open grass spaces as well as nice trees and vegetation, suitable for some wind activities too, or kicking a ball etc. The property is undulating so there are some flat spots that are limited near the water and different grades of slopping to the property. CAMPERS must check in at the house on Arrival unless other arrangements are made, are not to have any undeclared guests or extra people Low-lying areas can be a problem for vehicles after heavy or long periods of rain Beware it's easy to get bogged here in the wrong places the river is also brackish water and Tidal which has a 1 and 3/4 hour time lag from high tide marked in charts. Campers can choose a site when they arrive there are limited spots that are by the river or back from the river still with views, sort of first in best dressed unless discussed, for larger bookings please message me. There's wildlife and many birds on and off the river, it can sometimes be similar to parts of Kakadu with a mangrove forest you can kayak through on the extra high tides which is a very special treat if done at the right times. This is a riverfront property with mangroves so expect some mozzies mostly from Jan to May but strangely sometimes there not here too. Broadwater Beach is approximately a 5km drive, with Evans Head beaches, headland cliff walking tracks, etc, a fresh seafood co-op for nice cooked or uncooked seafood, clubs and pub, and shops, approximately 14 km 12 or so mins away as is the small towns of Wardell Woodburn, Coraki. Lismore and Ballina are approximately a 25 - 30 min drive. Flushing toilet. Hot/cold sink and garden shower. Pet friendly. Campfires are permitted in certain places or in the fire pits provided and further restricted to pits during the fire season if at all. A total fire ban means no fires whatsoever, please. Children under the age of 5 are free then up to 16 yrs half price. Water on this property is on tank water only and the economical use of water is appreciated more so, especially in the dry times. IMPORTANT PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY TO ACCESS THE PROPERTY The Driveway is no more than about 10 meters off the Bitumen tar sealed road. Please examine directions for this listing thoroughly .
