Our Hipcamp, (owners on site), is small scale to minimise environmental impact; we have six sites spaced well apart for privacy; each site catering up to two adult guests only (18+) and one vehicle. * Camp 5 permits 1 dog see Rules when booking; All other campsites strictly No Pets * Solo travelers are encouraged to book, many who have commented not feeling overwhelmed by large groups or too isolated.
If you are booking for others please let them know they will need to set up at their booked site. Please do not invite additional guests to enter the property.
You will need to be fully self-contained: own toilet, drinking water, shower.
Our Hipcamp is situated in a cool climate, away from the humidity of the coast. A highlight is beautiful permanent Flaggy Creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles and an abundance of bird life (we are close to an ebird hotspot) with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. There are walks on mowed tracks around the property (look for large eastern grey kangaroos in the top paddock) including along a dam wall where you might spot herons or rainbow bee eaters (seasonally) and we can give you directions to a fire-trail to hike up to the Bluff. Herberton (10 mins) also has many excellent walking trails.
All camp sites have their own fire pit (local conditions and/or state fire ban season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own. Please do not bring firewood for biosecurity reasons.
During the wet season (December-April) we recommend 4WD to access the property as there is a concrete causeway creek crossing and on rare occasions this can become impassable with an extreme amount of rain but does go down very quickly once rain has eased. Please take care and go slowly on unsealed roads.

This area is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than Cairns and does not get the summer humidity.

Absolutely well maintained beautiful property. Unfortunately we had a bit of rain but didn’t dampen our spirits. Toilet and shower available which was nice. Close to visit Tully township and Alligators Nest and Tully Gorge. The other sites were all lovely as well. Friendly host, easy to chat to and great communication. Would highly recommend this place.

Great spot for camping, everything is very well maintained and even though it was very wet the site we were on had compacted gravel so no issues at all. Sheree was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Sheree was a wonderful welcoming host. Firewood delivery and intel on the animal names and where the kids might find a turtle or tabby.
Great to have the amenities right nearby, a lovely clean shower and toilet out of the weather. Was grey and wet when we visited but the view was still great!

Sheree was welcoming. We camped during "typical" Tully weather, but our site drained well and a gravel base made for less mud and easy grip. The rain didn't dampen our stay. The amenities were clean. Beautiful setting. The kids were entertained by the turtles in the creek and are already asking when we can return. We will be back.

Our stay was amazing. Amenities and grounds were clean and tidy, very relaxing.
Even know it rained most of our 3 day stay it did not take away from how beautiful this place is.
Sheree was an awesome host and gave us all the privacy we needed but checked on us after all the rain. If we are up this way again will definitely be staying again.

This was an excellent place to stop on our travels up North. Normally we wouldn't stop in Tully however having such a fantastic facility (Tully Mountain Views) allowed us to really soak up and embrace the natural beauty of Tully.
The owners were very nice and welcoming and we are grateful they provide campers with these opportunities.
Sites are well spaced, the setup is well done and great signage.

We stayed on site 2 and it was beautiful. Very large site with gorgeous views. My kids loved watching the turtles swim in the dam. The location is fantastic.. close to town and other great spots to visit. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. We loved sitting down by the river and going for walks through the trees. It's a really special spot. We even had a movie on the projecter in the evening in the hall, and made friends with the friendly wonderful horse that was so eager to say hello. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next time through. Thanks for having us. ❣️Recommend this stay to anyone it's well worth it.

We really loved our time at this site as a family. It was beautiful, clean, private, and in a great location. We felt like we had enough privacy, without being totally alone. Would highly reccomend.
