We had such a wonderful time at this camp site. You get the place to yourself. It’s a wonderful spot right on the creek with platypus and the next door pond. Fire wood and pit provided and such a warm welcome from the Heidi and Mike. We will be certainly going again.

What a stunning spot nearby to a beautiful flowing creek and all to ourselves. Plenty of flat area to set a tent up or caravan with a choice of shaded or full sun areas. Fire pit and fire wood provided as well as a tap with filtered creek water. Didn't notice any mosquitoes or flies...perhaps it was too cold for them. Dog friendly space - our girl 🐶loved it. We will be back for sure!

Love this place. Second trip there and it didn’t disappoint. Mike and Heidi have the camp grounds immaculate when you get there and fire pit and wood are supplied. Awesome little creek to explore and swim in all in a private area that only you will have.

We had a fantastic stay. The site was easily accessible in our coaster bus and was completely private. The supply of wood was generous and allowed us a beautiful fire both nights. Plenty of space for us and our two dogs. Thank you Heidi and family for sharing your paradise. We will be back!

This was our 4th or 5th time staying at Malanda Stream Hipcamp, and it's just perfect every time we visit. Beautiful weather, total peace and privacy, and the grounds were immaculate as usual. We spotted a few cheeky bandicoots at night, and the Ulysses Butterflies were out and about each day. Kids loved the wide open space to play pickle ball and bocce. The shady trees, and the sound of the flowing creek, provided a stunning backdrop for a picturesque birthday brunch, complete with a yummy (albeit slightly overcooked) camp oven damper. The stocked firewood, and water hook up to top up the tank for showers, is a real luxury at this camp. If you haven't been here yet, you are absolutely missing out...so get booking! Thanks Heidi & Mike for being such gracious hosts-and for the delicious mandarins and passionfruit. See you again soon!

Camped in a tent with my little dog and had no issues at all. Was a little bit worried about snakes but just made sure we didnt head into or near any long grass.
Creek is lovely to listen to at night.
Will definitely be back and hope to see a platypus next time!

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible campsite—an entire acre of private space nestled beside a beautiful, running stream where we even spotted a platypus! It felt like we had our own personal retreat.
The hosts were warm and welcoming, with clear directions that made finding the site a breeze. The last 30 metres of the access track was a bit narrow, but easily manageable—we had no trouble towing our 6-metre off-road camper in.
They thoughtfully provided firewood, which made our evenings by the fire even more enjoyable. We originally planned to explore the area with a day trip, but the serenity and peacefulness of the site were so captivating that we chose to stay put and soak it all in.
Highly recommend for anyone seeking true tranquility and nature at its best.

Awesome spot!
Beautiful private area with creek access! Heaps of natural shade, firewood and a fire pit provided!
Great hosts were understanding with a late booking and late arrival after some mishaps on the way up!
Would be a great location to stay for a week and just take in nature, or could easily use it as a base and do some exploring around the local areas with lots of hikes and nice cafes/bars around!

Lovely spot to camp - quiet and relaxing. Large private open area to use by a flowing creek. Heidi and Mike are great hosts and thoughtful of the campers with wood and fireplace provided - wonderful spot to chill out or see the local area from. Will definitely be back in the hope of seeing the elusive tree kangaroo.

This place is truly amazing, beautifully kept area, so much space to spread out, the creek was great. Unfortunately for us the weather was terrible but we still loved our stay and will definitely rebook. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Only advise, don't follow Hipcamp GPS.

Such a nice quiet space with ample amount of room as you have the whole site to yourself.
The dogs loved playing ball on the freshly mowed grass and swimming in the very refreshing creek 🥶
I’ll be adding this spot to our rotation.
Hosts are very easy to talk to and happy to answer your 100 questions (maybe that’s just me)

Found this magical spot after a recommendation from a friend. Super friendly hosts, plenty of fire wood (no charge!) and ample space, the ample space. The bonus was susets with the Platapus!!!

We had the best time staying here with our 3 kids! Heidi and Mike were great hosts and we felt very lucky that they opened up their perfect little campsite by the creek for us to stay. Campsite was perfect, grassy bottom, shady trees, creek access, very safe for young kids, beautiful wildlife and plenty of firewood! It was like pressing the reset button on life! Which is just what we needed. Thanks again we will be back!

Just beautiful. So peaceful and private. Luscious green lawn and a tranquil creek to cool off in right next to camp. Loads of wildlife to spot and butterfies so thick you wouldn't believe. We loved camping by the creek at this camp site. The access was easy in our 2wd car, wide open grassed space with shady trees and lovely breeze. Firewood and fireplace provided was a lovely touch. Highlight of the trip was definately seeing platypus and turtles in the creek and a pademelon hopping around in the evening. And an so many beautiful butterflies.

Malanda Stream Secluded Camping
This was our second trip camping at Malanda Stream Hipcamp, and it didn't disappoint. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits at this beautiful spot. The grounds were once again manicured to perfection, the stocked firewood was kept dry enough to have a nice fire in the evenings, and the stream was flowing beautifully. Keep your eyes peeled to spot the water dragons, an abundance of green tree frogs, turtles, and that cheeky azure kingfisher that hangs about early in the mornings. A serene, peaceful, and private camp, we love it! Thanks for having us back again Heidi and Mike- it was absolutely perfect.
