GLOWS Garden Centre Camp is set in a large field backing onto world heritage rainforest to the East/South and adjoining Garden Centre and Raw Materials Yard to the north. We have only opened 4 lovely grassy sites. Our Hipcamp opened September 2024 and only 200m away is a cafe at our Garden Centre for a great coffee 6 days a week! You will need to be self-sufficient however we do have a cold water shower and toilets available between 7am and 5pm in the adjoining Garden Centre. Also available is a large cold water washing machine (gold coin donation). We are located on Tully Mission Beach Road with the bike path between Wongaling Beach and Mission Beach running right past the front gates, so a quick ride into town and plenty of space to bring your boat! We your hosts, (Nancy and Shane) operate the adjoining Garden Centre and Raw Materials yard so there is always something happening and with vast local knowledge of what to do and where to go, we are only happy to help. Opened in September 2024 we have planted a tropical fruit forest plantation as well as citrus orchard and with our 50 beautiful free-range chooks (pets) you will have them wandering around freely, clucking away happily.

Between the two, a fire pit looking into the rainforest with banana trees and stands of beautiful torch gingers. Our new sites are landscaped to give you privacy and really spacious!

Site 1 is the closest to the Garden Centre, you have a concrete pad, grass parking space and fire pit looking into the rainforest. Site 1 is suited to a roof top or small Camper - it's the cutest/littlest of all :)

Site 6 is probably our newest and most private site so far. The site is south eastern facing towards the rainforest so you receive afternoon sun. This site gets the most sun for those needing solar - Plenty of space for caravans or camper trailers with concrete pad and fire pit looking into the rainforest.

Lovely host, a lot of space in the green and quiet in the nighttime. On working days, it‘s in the daytime a little bit louder due to the gardening centre next door. But nothing to worry about!

Amazing little spot next to Mission Beach! Nancy is an amazing host and really made us feel welcome. Site was very clean and well maintained. We loved seeing all of the little chickens running around! Definitely recommend it!

We have a 12.5m motorhome, trailer and 4X4 and our site (#2) has ample space for all plus much more. It's super quiet and relaxing here, yet only minutes drive into Mission Beach town. The owners are very friendly and have plenty of knowledge about the area and great things to do. We recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Big sites with lovely surrounding gardens and a short drive to Mission Beach. Feels very quiet and private. Watch out for the turkey...it likes to stand infront of your car when you get to the site!

Nancy was a great host, with plenty of local knowledge. We had site 6 which was great for solar . All sites where green grass and surrounded by lovely tropical gardens. Access to water and a toilet. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at GLOWS! The sites were large, grassy and well maintained. The chickens and turkeys were a great novelty for the kids, and they loved looking for eggs, with Nancy’s help. Nancy and Shane were wonderful hosts! We would certainly stay again! There is even a cafe on site too!

The camp site itself was well kept and tidy, and I would not hesitate to stay there for one night. Coming from Mission Beach we were looking for a Garden Centre, not a raw material place, and signage of the place is inadequate. We would not have found it in the dark. The public toilet in the parking area was dirty and put my travelling companion off entirely. Putting a water tap somewhere near the camp sites would improve the place considerably.

Mission beach is beautiful and so quiet for the time of year. Great Hipcamp for all self contained travels, potable water available. The sites are well set out with beautiful plants acting as a border. Massive fire pits available and wood available to buy. With the current upgrades to mission beach roads and infrastructure. We are so happy to have stayed here and missed the traffic jams around the other $$$ campsites. 😁😁😁

Stayed on site 3. This was large with lovely aspect of the rainforest. Plenty of room to set up however it’s suits you. We did move sites and owner very easy to deal with. Lovely walk out front on paved path was a bonus. Very quiet at night.

The property backs onto beautiful rainforest scenery and we had visits from wallabies and the chooks. The sites are large and grassy. We felt safe and it was quiet most of the time

Great place to stay in Mission Beach, few minutes drive to town. Nancy is a great host that goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy. Our water pump in the van decided to fail when we arrived and Nancy was good enough to organise a water hookup for us during our stay. Sites are generously spaced apart with landscaping buffers in between.

Loved this site, great location close to town and lovely outlook of the rainforest behind the camp site. Nancy was great with checkin. toilet on-site during business hours and the cheap washing machine were also great to have available.

What a great little spot! Excellent location and very quiet. The chooks and 'Ross' are hilarious and really added to the vibe. Nancy was super sweet and accommodating and has clearly put in a great deal of work making the camping sites as pretty as they are are - so green, vibrant and bursting with veggies and bananas! Definitely recommend and will absolutely be back :)

GLOWS offer a self sufficient camper space in a beautiful setting, with easy access. Best of both worlds sitting between Mission, Bingal bay and South Mission. Town convenience are within a few kilometres.

Beautiful spot to stay and explore the mission beach area. Camp spots are large, beautifully maintained and private from each other. Owner was lovely, let us pick fresh eggplants from the garden and use the washing machine which was amazing

Absolutely a great place to base yourself to explore the area we stayed at site 6 the best one so private . Love the bike path all the way to Mission Beach for a swim or to Wondaling Beach will definately be back next winter
