Platypus Bend This campsite would accommodate multiple camper vans and cars, and is located on the bend of the creek with steps down into the water. There are large trees and abundant bird life, and you may spot a platypus if lucky. A large fire pit is set up for all your camp oven cooking. Chirpy Camp This is a very private camp for tent or a roof top camper, maximum 2 people. Camp by the creek and enjoy the birdlife, and peace and quite. There is an open fire available and plenty of wood to collect. Chicken Run Camp This is a peaceful campsite, with plenty of timber for an open fire, and flat grassy areas. It's a short walk to creek. Abundant bird life. Wake up to the rooster crowing, goats baaing and birds chirping. Enjoy the evenings around the campfire.

Platypus Bend
Alan and Sue were very welcoming and helpful. They have a piece of paradise on their doorstep. The weather was perfect, great stop for a few days or even just a quick overnight!

Beautiful campsite!
Alan and Sue were so friendly and welcoming, what a beautiful property and such a serene place to stay. Camped in April was a bit wet and had a few leeches around so definitely looking forward to coming back in winter to enjoy the spot again.

Beautiful Site and Kind People
Camping on Alan and Sue's property was breathtaking. Despite it raining the whole time we throughly enjoyed our time here and wouldn't change it. The creek is beautiful and the forest surrounding is surreal. The spot is clean and very private with great space to set up camp and nice fire pit to warm up after a rainy creek swim. We loved all the birds and frogs and being completely alone in nature. Alan and Sue's hospitality is unmatched, they are such kind hearted and welcoming people. We really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to coming back when there's some sunshine!!

Gorgeous
Beautiful campgrounds ⛺️, creek was flowing with cool clear water, lots of bird life, it is such a gorgeous spot with fantastic hosts. We will definitely go back and stay again.

What a beautiful few days we had at platypus bend. Completely secluded by a nice little creek. The high tree canopy provided almost complete shade throughout the day. A great place to escape the humidity of the FNQ coast.

Chirpy Camp [4X4 ONLY]
Loved chirpy camp , was great spot , should have stayed couple more days to explore up creek further , but beautiful spot and about a 2 drink walk up stream is a magic swimming hole :)
