It was very quiet and peaceful. Each campsite is very spacious. New toilets and showers were appreciated. Not much to do though, lucky Ravenshoe is only 20mins down the road.

Caravan Site 2

We had a great stay! Weather was beautiful & we had the place to our self (beside caretaker Scott - who was helpful and friendly!!) Love the creek - spots to swims at the rocks and length & depth to use our kayak! So peaceful! Appreciated the amenities- clean and shower hot! Loved going for walks on the property also! Down side—We did have 3/4 nights of multiple dogs howling and barking on neighbouring properties! That was fulll on! And privacy for us would be an issue if other people were also camping as the sites ( while large and roomy) were close and not screened from one another! We were in site 2 and that is where you mainly access the creek & that would make your site a bit of a thoroughfare… Honestly we enjoyed our stay and felt really blessed w the time and seeing our dog have so much fun and freedom was so cool & loved our own fire every night and each morning too— it was chilly up there!! :)) many thanks Jacob & thankyou for opening up your property to the public - kind regards Kel

Beautiful property, amenities are very well maintained and had a lovely hot shower! Sites are well spaced, can see other campers off in the distance but barely heard them. Will definitely be back :)

Wild River Bush Camp

The Bush Camp had everything you could need. The bedroom has a bed as well as a single mattress, the kitchen has a fridge, stove and any utensils you'll need. All you really need to bring is chairs. Will definitely be booking again.

We have just had a couple of nights in our camper van at Archerview camping ground. We appreciated the large camping site and the very clean showers and toilets. We will be back again in the not too distant feature.

Wild River Bush Camp

The area is peaceful & the creek that runs behind the campsite is actually really special, but I found the address hard to find due to google leading me down a wrong driveway, & then the actual driveway did have a number on it, but also a trespassers beware sign- no sign about the camp site .so I got confused & stressed as I had zero reception & it was getting dark. I opened the big gate which was chained & dummy locked shut & drove to the end & thankfully it was the place. But again, the hut/shack/shed I booked had no signage & there were other abandoned caravans beside it so it all felt a bit, disorganised & just not very welcoming. Inside the shack was clean & organised but its definitely suited to a bigger group, not cosy, very open & spacious. I think camping in your own tent or caravan is the way to go here & I did appreciate that my dogs were welcome. A sunny day would be lovely at this site & a dip in the creek would be very special indeed. I think this site has a lot of potential but needs better signage & cleaning up still.

It was a nice spot with potential but we initially missed the property as there was no signage at the entrance so we had to drive quite a distance towing the caravan through water crossings on a dirt road before finding a driveway we could reverse into to turn around. The exposed poly pipes need to be covered properly, grass mowed and the shower area seems a bit rough with concrete that doesn't fall away correctly. The site we were on really needed a few trees removed to make manoeuvring a little easier.

3 adults and our dog stayed at site #1 for a few days. Although it drizzled, we absolutely loved our time there. Our dog was on a lead, and he enjoyed the walks and watching the wildlife. Great spot, new hot showers and flusing toilets (2 of ea). Jacob was quick in responding to queries, and Scott the caretaker was very helpful. Highly recommend this property, and will be back again soon.

We stayed at Camp 4 and it was great. Lots of space, very clean toilets and hot (!!!) showers. Not 100% private, but close due to the distance to the remaining sites. We can definitely recommend staying here for a night or ten. Caretaker Max and his human Scott are doing a fantastic job keeping the sites well maintained and rhe firewood stocked.

A friend and I stayed for the weekend, and we loved it! So peaceful, with gorgeous sites and views, especially with the creek so close by. With only a few sites, so you’re guaranteed privacy, and no matter where you’re staying, toilets and showers are just a short walk away. Highly recommend! :)

Great location with access to beautiful creek with dramatic boulders. Fancy toilet and shower facilities. Was great to meet Scotty and Max doing a good job caring for the place. Sites are fairly close to each other but this is a top tier hipcamp

Perfect Family Camping Getaway ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway. The campground is quiet, well laid out, and all campsites are conveniently located close to the amenities. The newly built toilet and shower facilities were spotless and very well maintained, with two toilets and two showers available. Having water taps at each campsite was also a great convenience. A beautiful creek nearby was a real highlight, especially for the kids. They loved exploring, playing in the water, and spending time in nature. At night, the sky came alive with countless stars, making for an unforgettable experience. We also had no mobile phone reception—even with Telstra—which turned out to be a blessing. It was the perfect opportunity to disconnect from technology and enjoy quality time together. Jacob and his wife were wonderful hosts—friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Communication before our arrival was excellent, with clear instructions on how to access the property. Firewood can be pre-booked, and wheelbarrows are available to make transporting it to your campsite easy. Overall, this is a beautiful, peaceful campsite with excellent facilities and exceptional hosts. If you're looking for a relaxing escape to reconnect with family and enjoy nature, this place is perfect. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing spot!! Plenty of space between campsites so you hardly know anyone else is around. The toilet block with hot showers was greatly appreciated. Easy access to the river, which is a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink in the afternoon. Jacob and his wife were lovely, really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to book our next stay here.

I had a fantastic stay here and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The property itself is beautiful, especially the river, it's crystal clear and perfect for a refreshing dip. Everything is really well maintained. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean, it's clear the host put alot of care into the place. Will definitely be looking to book again in future!

Wild river - great camping

Loved camping here for a couple of days! Large area to set up in, peaceful and quiet with Wild River close by for swimming, kayaking ir paddle boarding. Firewood available at the property plus toilets and hot showers bring that little bit extra to the cold winter mornings!

Great private spot near the wild river and only 10mins or so to I not hot springs. Some great walks on the property - the view from Hilltop was spectacular. Nice new amenities block that was very clean.
